We were on 30 amp service and could not run our fireplace on low setting and the microwave at the same time. There was no breaker box on our post so we had to email to get support. Support came fairly quickly which was nice because it was 11PM by then and the office closed at 6PM. We reserved a site for our 38' 5th wheel, when we arrived we found we barely had space to park our truck.

The stay. was good but was disappointed that they didn’t honour the FREE night as we are a KOA rewards member .

Stay was good. Just wish when I was registering upon arrival, the clerk had asked if I had reward points. I forgot to mention them until I had paid & was told it was too late to use them. Would have saved me $50. Will definitely use the Owen Sound KOA again.

Would stay there again. Everyone in park was very friendly. Washrooms were really clean. Sites were large and clean.

Had a great time….park very clean….too bad you ran out of ice the Sunday of Labour day….we had to go into town to get it.other than that we had a fantastic stay.

The extra fees that Owen Sound has now stipulated for a specific site#, cleaning of firepits, and late check outs is a bit excessive, seems more like a chance to be greedy with most patrons already holding VKR membership. Would have been nice of there were ANY activities for the kids, ie: the mining, a bounce pillow or possibly a mini golf range would be a welcomed addition to the park.

We like provincial parks with more privacy than most private parks. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. We liked the privacy from trees. Bathrooms were clean and the hook ups were an added bonus. The best part for me was the connection to the Bruce trail. Thx so much

Was disappointed to see so much dog poop lying around that no one had picked up. Was upset to hear that if we left a little passed checkout time, that my credit card would be charged.

Stay was fine, no issues to report. When booking in previous years we were able to email and request to be close to friends and family who were camping with us and we did this as per previous years and wound up in completely different areas of the park than some families. It was frustrating that they made this mistake. We were hesitant to pay $80 for the 4 families to select sites in the park.

Good time to explore trails. Perfect location for access to activities in area. Would recommend putting a garbage dumpster more accessible inside park. (Pros and cons both ways) If not, start garbage pick up at sites like other KOAs.

It was awful , we were right beside the pool . Noisy and was splashed with water . They said they were booked and we saw lots of sites empty . They could have easily moved us . It was the worst stay

We had a good long weekend at this KOA. The only concern we have is registering for the pool. We witnessed a large group of people booking 13 of the available 15 spots for two back to back sessions, (2 pm and 3 pm), on Sunday, Sept. 5th. They used 2 different names so they could defeat the schedule and stay in the pool. Not very fair to other people who wanted to book!

Some sites are really small but the park is large and nicely laid out. I do suggest the KOAs look at where the fire pits are in relation to where the trailers are parked. Our fire pit was actually under our awning and there was lots of space for the pit to be moved father away from the trailer.

Everything was good but very disappointed that we were 20 minutes early so we had to pay an additional $20.00 by the time they checked us in and we got to site it was almost check in time. Also cedar trees need to be trimmed back on the site as they rub on either side of trailer when you back in.

Neither good nor bad. It was a typical park. They do spend a lot of time cutting the grass. We were across from the playground, as expected the kids were very active. The basket ball was a bit annoying after 3 days especially at 10:00pm. The park was nice enough, the sites were spacious, the people were friendly and we would go there again sometime.

This koa is very clean, safety, private. The workers are very kindly..... If you are good people this place is your location.... Thank guys i will be back more ....

Had a great time. Pool, washrooms and the grounds where very clean. Reception as good. Would be nice if the recycle was with the garbage disposal bins. (would make a one stop departure) The roads where exceptionally dry and dusty. Daily waterings or??? would keep the dust down. (see dust control in some other parks). Wood was expensive $13. Overall, a nice, relaxing stay. Thank you.

This is the third KOA we have stayed at, and so far it’s the worst. The sites were so close together and offered almost no shade, our trailer got so hot from sun radiation all day. Quiet time hours don’t seem to be enforced, hearing fireworks on site at midnight on a Thursday night, raging fires well past 11 multiple nights and people talking loudly at several sites our last night, past midnig

Had a wonderful stay for our first time. We rented a trailer. After two days we asked if we could switch to a full service site and we were able to. The campground was clean, staff super friendly and helpful. I’m not sure why there were minimal mosquitoes but hardly used any bug spray. There were a lot of stable flies but they were a minor nuisance. Would totally stay there again and plan to.

Had 50 amp site but power was weak. Fridge kept turning off. This shouldn’t happen with 50 amp service. Very dusty roads. Lack of supplies in store. Wood much more expensive than any other campground. No wood delivery to site.

We loved the campsite. It is well maintained and the sites are very spacious. The only thing negative that I could say is that we had to go in search of firewood at 6 P.M. because the office was closed. I would not hesitate to book again at the KOA in Owen Sound.

Nice clean park and friendly staff. I would comment that it’s 2021 and it’s ridiculous to charge for Wi-Fi. Many people need to work while on vacation. It’s time to get with the times.

Nice campground! Many rules as people have abused them, that part is a shame…..the few trout left in the pond were awesome to sit and watch, very friendly! The staff we dealt with were kind, helpful and friendly. Checkout is too early lol we only could stay one day, it was sooooo not enough, we need to come back and check the area out again soon! Thanks for a quiet, clean stay! Kim

Our entire group was upset that they make you put your fire out we 11pm-all campers are discriminated against for someone else’s behavior from a previous stay You had to book pool time, only could to once a day & only for 45 mins -Covid restrictions have been lifted all over Ontario and still this rule ?

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for staying with us. Unfortunately , 2 meters restriction is still in place , health unit allowed 15 people at a time only. Hopefully we don't have any restriction in the next season! Take care and enjoy the Fall.

nice sites, friendly staff, not what I am used to from a KOA though- used to seeing more events like Bingo etc... and more things to do for the kids. Not a bad place at all just kind of uneventful

Very nice campground. Sites are in great condition. Our site 165 was very private and clean. Only complaint is the 6 person max per site. Including visitors. Also thought it was strange to see a British Columbia and a USA flag when entering. Any reason for not having the Canada flag flying next to the Ontario flag?

Absolutely would come again. Very clean nice and quiet. Only thing to complain about was fire had to be out at 11 pm but other than that I loved everything about the stay. Clean bathrooms and showers . Loved the hike that was right in the campground. Would come back for sure

This KOA has become a yearly trip for my family and I now. This site has always been very kept tidy and clean. Especially the bathroom. as they make sure regular cleaning happens there, so trips to the bathroom do not require a gas mask or any bio hazmat suit. With two active boys, my wife and I really appreciate the amenities the campground offers to keep them busy. The hiking trails are pretty fantastic, and the staff are super friendly. The pool is even salt water pool, which really just tops things off. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place to camp; a more authentic experience than a certain local park in Owen Sound. Lovely playground, swimming pool, and cabins, spacious sites and a beautiful pond. Great trails to walk as well.
