Site Occupancy policy

For the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all our guests, each site is limited to one family, one camping unit, and one vehicle.A family is defined as parents or guardians and their children under the age of 18 living in the same household. Site occupancy and nightly rates are based on the total number of registered guests per site, including adults and children. Fees may vary according to party size and age categories.A maximum of six guests (i.e. 2 adults, 4 children) may occupy a campsite when meeting the family criteria. When the family criteria is not met, occupancy is limited to a maximum of four adults per site. One vehicle is included with each site reservation. Additional vehicles are subject to availability and will incur a per-night vehicle fee.Tents are permitted only on designated tent sites. To preserve the quality, safety, and integrity of our campground sites, tents are NOT permitted on cabin or RV sites, even when staying with a group occupying that site. For tent sites:
  • All guests must arrive in one vehicle
  • The site does not exceed the maximum occupancy of four adults.

Arriving with two vehicles while intending to occupy one site is not permitted. In this situation, a second site must be reserved and paid for ahead of time, as we cannot guarantee availability during peak times.Maximum occupancy for Deluxe Cabins, Basic Cabins, RV Sites, and Tent Sites is four adults when family criteria is not met.

Quiet Hours:

We do our best to strictly enforce our quiet hours from 11pm till 8am

Recreational Vehicles in our Park:

All recreational vehicles must carry their own valid insurance and proof of ownership (pink slip and ownership documents) presented at the time of check-in in order to be operated on our property when accessing the trails. Insurance must be a stand-alone policy specific to each motorized vehicleManagement reserves the right to revoke the privilege of operating your recreation vehicle on our property at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior warning.Examples of insurance not accepted include coverage provided through a home insurance policy, tenant or household rider, or business policy. We understand that some guests may feel this type of coverage is sufficient; however, as private property owners, we are exercising our right to require dedicated vehicle insurance, as these policies do not provide the level of coverage necessary for our campground. The Golden Rule for all motorized vehicles in our park is simple:
Vehicles must be operated slowly and directly from your site or cabin to the trail, and directly back to your site or cabin upon return. Riding within the campground is not permitted beyond this direct route. Please do not ride to or around washrooms, showers, the pool, or other areas of the park.Helmets are required at all times when operating any recreational vehicle. For dirt bikes, engines must remain off within the campground. Bikes must be pushed a minimum of 50 feet into the trail before starting. Upon returning from the trails, please use the kill switch, coast in as far as possible, and then push your bike back to your site or cabin.

Guest's recreational vehicles are intended for trail use, we do not allow golf carts under any circumstances.

ATV Trails

Enjoy 250 km of trails accessible right from your site or cabin! The Park to Park trails can be reached directly from your accommodation, leading you through the back of our campground. We kindly ask that all riders travel from their site or cabin to the trail and return the same way. Please note, we are not affiliated with the Park to Park trail system. For more information about the trails, you can contact them directly at parktoparktrail.org.

Laundry Room

Our laundry facilities are coin operated, so remember to bring some change if you are looking to do a wash!
  • Washers run for approximately 30 minutes, and dryers take around 1 hour.
  • Laundry hours typically coincide with our store hours, but they may fluctuate. On long weekends, hours are often shorter due to high water demand from our well.

If you require laundry facilities outside of our hours, we recommend the following laundromat:Address: 1 Mall Dr, Parry Sound, ON P2A 3A9 – Get directions »

Pool Guidelines

Our pool hours will always be posted in the pool area, and will coincide with seasonal office hour changes.

Our pool will be closed if there is severe weather, and swimming is deemed unsafe.

No Outside Wood Allowed

We are now asking that no wood of any kind be brought into our campground. Our trees are our most valuable resource, and we cannot risk losing them to disease. This was a difficult decision, but we kindly ask for your respect and cooperation. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued Federal Ministerial Orders prohibiting the movement of firewood and wood in Ontario, Quebec, and the U.S. While it may seem harmless, bringing your own firewood to or from a campsite can threaten thousands—even millions—of trees. The Emerald Ash Borer, a tiny insect hidden in bark, has spread largely due to transported firewood, killing millions of ash trees across Canada. Similarly, the Asian Long-Horned Beetle attacks hardwood trees, including maple, elm, poplar, birch, and willow. By following this rule, you are helping protect our forests and the natural beauty of our campground.Thank you for helping us keep our trees—and our campground—healthy.

Meet Your Hosts

Tristan & Taylor

"For us it's not just camping, it's what happens around the fire & throughout the campground. Join us as we turn stays into stories, and guests into ambassadors!"

Meet Tristan and Taylor, the passionate hosts of Parry Sound KOA! The park has been a part of Tristan's life for as long as he can remember. Originally owned by his grandparents, Lois and Keith, and later by his parents, Don and Michelle in 1999, Tristan grew up immersed in the campground, learning the ropes and developing a deep love for the park.Tristan and Taylor's story began in high school, but life took them on separate paths for nearly a decade. When they reconnected, it was clear they were meant to be—and Taylor, who has always cherished her time at the park, immediately felt at home. Now, as the third generation to run Parry Sound KOA, they're ready to bring fresh energy and their own vision to the campground.Alongside their little sidekick, Butter the mini-dachshund, and their kitty Schmidt (not pictured), Tristan and Taylor are excited to officially kick off their journey in summer 2026, welcoming guests old and new to make memories that last a lifetime.
