Just a 5-minute walk from the park, you'll find a gorgeous waterfront with a boat launch and dock—perfect for a quick splash, fishing, or launching your boat. About a 5-minute drive (or a 30-minute stroll) away is Foley Matheson Beach, a big, sandy paradise with a swim-out raft and docks for fishing or diving. Feeling like a longer adventure? The Parry Sound Waterfront is just 13 minutes away and a beautiful spot to walk, ride, or swim along the Georgian Bay Waterfront Fitness Trail.
There are dozens of freshwater lakes within 10 minutes of our KOA, including the world-renowned Georgian Bay. Rankin Lake, which is just a seven minute walk down the road and includes a great dock for fishing, has been a hotspot for fishing enthusiasts! The various fish species include, small and large mouth bass, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, and Perch to name a few. Boat, motor and equipment rentals are available at marinas nearby.
This trail is located at the back of the campground and is accessed directly from our campground. The trail can be used for hiking, mountain biking, and for ATV's. For all you "Tim Horton" enthusiasts, this same trail will take you only a short walk or ride on the trail for a great cup of coffee! For more information visit www.parktoparktrail.org.
