It’s a parking lot, nice views, handy location, but not a destination. We ate a couple of meals at Boomtown during the stay, both extremely overpriced and both horribly low quality. Campground WiFi is so slow that it was unusable, even when nearly empty on a cold day.

It’s a great location for a homebase while you are exploring the local area. My family and I had a great time. We will definitely stay here again!

Marcia, guest check-in, was truly warm and caring, explaining everything clearly and concisely. She even provided us two coupons for drinks at the Casino. We didn't go in the casino and only stayed one night, so I can't say much more. Thank you, Marcia. (Or was that Michelle? Sorry!)

It was great the staff was very friendly and let us extend our stay at the last minute. The campground is clean and well lit. There is also a security patrol that drives through the campground every so often. The spots are a little uneven but not that bad. I was able to refill my propane on sight which was very convenient.

No restrooms available if store was closed. Not all trailers and campers have toilets in them or issuable ones. So to not have a restroom available at the site for 12 hrs is unacceptable. Especially for women!!

We loved it . The only complaint that we would have is the dog poop everywhere. Some of us cleaned up after our dogs but most weren't doing so. We will definitely be back .

The RV park manager is extremely rude and for lack of a better term a real A** Hole. Doesn't know what customer service means whatsoever! The ladies in the front office are friendly and nice to deal with too bad the manager of the grounds ruins that! Cable connection was broken. If it weren't for the manager I'd recommend but we definitely won't be back!

The kampground at Boomtown is a huge disappointment. Also a huge waste of potential. Surrounded on all sides by beautiful views, yet not a single space is level. The sewage drains are elevated 12 inches off the ground. Terrible water pressure and terrible service from staff. Always giving excuses not to sell propane. Lanes were not plowed after intense snow storm. Manager was not even an RV'r.

Decent campground, a bit crowded but it is located to easy access to Lake Tahoe/Truckee area and Reno. A fully self contained unit is necessary or have a porta potty as there are no 24 hour restrooms currently available

No cable TV (connection at Box missing). Reported first day, no repair made. No water. I understand winter weather, heat tape could be used to heat hydrants. Enjoyed our time in Reno.

Quoted one price got charged 70.00 dollars more. Charged more than online price. Could not use restrooms past 8 pm. Water spicket frozen even though we had heated hose. There was no heat trace on our spicket. Other spickets had it Permanent residence had garbage all around their sites. Very unkempt.

Not a bad place to stay. A bit crowded considering the season, December, close to the casino, easy drive to Reno and Truckee/Tahoe. Only real issue was there is only one location for restrooms and no 24 hr restrooms available. It is a long walk if your RV is not self contained.

I have always felt that kOA was a campground you could always count on. This was a "trashy" koa. .matresses stored under campers, tires piled on campsites trash in all the bushes, and seriously, a campsite across from site 36 that had a pile of dog poop piled 8" high. We work as camp hosts and travel the country. I am not sure who is setting the standards for this campground.

We had a wonderful time Thanksgiving week. We ended up having 19 people for dinner in our nice warm dinning room (e z up) x2.

We stayed here for a week in a 25 ft. travel trailer. We had a pull thru site. We were happy with our experience. The facilities were well kept and clean. Sites were a little close but we have come to expect that. The people at the front desk were efficient and friendly. We had the opportunity to use the laundry - also clean and well kept.

Nice and very clean. Easy to come in with plenty of room for maneuvering the trailer to back in with little assistance. I will come back again.

First time staying at a KOA campground. Overall experience was good. Power, water, septic and cable were close and easy to access. Internet was spotty at times, but not an issue. Grounds were clean and maintained, with ground crews always working in the facility. With extensive travel in our future, we joined KOA and are now members and will look for KOA campgrounds in the future.

Was cold but spot was clean and nice. Would have been nice to have a lift up to boomtown and a larger dog run. Overall a good experience. Staff was excellent and helpful.

We were given a back in to unhook our truck but we had to leave early in the morning so asked for a pull through upgrade so we could leave quickly. The were very accommodating

Had a good time visiting the Reno area. The staff at the KOA was most friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We will let everyone know that this is a "to to" destination.

Nice RV park with nice paved sites. Right next to the Boomtown casino that has an arcade/fun center with a few small rides. Nice views of the hills and nice view of the Truckee river that runs next to the park.

Super cold, more snow than I've seen in a long time. Only issue, water kept freezing at the pipe.
