Generally we enjoy staying at this particular KOA, however, when we arrived to out spot, there was a huge oil spot where I normally would have put my rug. I couldn't do that. We also picked up handfuls, with pictures to prove it, of nails and screws and dirty rugs in the dirt. Not a safe camping environment. Assuming this was the only spot like this, we will try it again. Mgmt should be alert.

There wasn’t enough power to fully power everyone’s rig unless we didn’t use a surge protector. Also when I went to check-in, my reservation was incorrect. Registration desk said there was no way I could stay there being I had a 50 amp rig and was booked into a 30 amp site. They said there was absolutely no room for me. After a long conversation one all of a sudden opened up. Worst KOA exper

Great KOA in a perfect spot to play! Super close to the highway and minutes from Reno. The Boomtown hotel and casino is right there, so restaurants and games are close by. Everyone was friendly, and everything was clean. We will be back!

Staff should be allowed to come in early to “open” business before doors are unlocked. Customers are in the door at opening and the employee has to do opening procedures while the customer waits. Too bad the ‘campground’ is just a parking lot.

The site I was assigned to had a breaker problem. They immediately came out, saw the issue and reassigned us to another site without hesitation.

we have stayed here alot over the years the staff has always been great though seemed understafted at times most seem to want to work up at the casino of course covid didnt help we will continue to stay here and always look forward to it

There was not enough staff for bathroom cleaning and taking care of guests. The key for a bathroom was a bit extreme asking for permission Everytime. The hot tubs were broken and the playground was very small. There was no shade in the area we were camping spa few more trees would be great.

The staff was friendly, but there are a number of issues with this property. Notably, the power and water monuments are aging, with most sites leaking water and electrical sockets and breakers one year away from causing serious issues. Also, the limited office hours are a challenge for anyone who just wants to use their restrooms or the get propane.

bathrooms were closed for “covid cleaning” from 7pm to 8am. Totally not workable for us as we were staying over on a road trip and wanted a hot shower and place to rest. Nothing in the website told us about that and we missed a shower by 5 min. In the morning our chairs and shoes were soaked by sprinklers that were pointed on the pavement more than grass. Worst night of a 10 day trip!

Always a great place to stay in the Reno area. Very friendly and helpful staff. The restrooms, showers and laundry are kept clean and in good repair. Only negative would be the watering schedule. They tell you the sprinkles come on in the wee hours of the morning which would be fine if it were true. Unfortunately they come on around 9:30am making use of the site difficult for most of the day.

BOOMTOWN KOA WAS AN AWESOME STAY , BUT THE STAY IN MT SHASTA KOA WAS TERRIBLE, THE FEMALE PERSON WAS VERY RUDE!

Only issue is that showers etc. are not open 24 hours a day. I know it is a Covid requirement but this is the first KOA that has this requirement. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location but crowded conditions. Waste dumps at site difficult because of slab slants away from drain. There is no functioning central waste disposal site.

We paid over $60/night for broken pavement pads and electrical issues. We were told that breakers were blowing all along our row. Then I was told that the system doesnt like the pigtail I was using. High price for an RV park that needs serious updating.

Needed an overnight stay. Friendly and easy check in. Pull through site as requested. Bunked for the night and left in the morning. Everyone I met was pleasant.

We were given a spot that was directly in the sun with no trees around and the grounds around the site was all sticker bushes. There were cigarettes butts all over the ground that we had to sweep up. But the pool was nice.

Adequate. Visited friends in Reno. If all the KIA ‘s we’ve stayed at on our road trip this was nice. Although the asphalt was warm but worked well with stabilization of the RV.

Bathrooms and showers were only open from 9:00am - 7:45pm. This was very difficult as it was extremely hot. The related hotel would not let me use their fitness room either. Super disappointing!

Seriously, no bathrooms for most of the day? Woken by the giant train going by right next to our camp spot. This was a joke of a Koa and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know. Just a giant parking lot.

The bathrooms are closed from 7pm-8am, this is not posted on their website, on their list of amenities it says 24 hour bathrooms. There are numerous full-time residents several items/trash surrounding their RV's, it brings down the appeal of the park. The staff was very harsh at all points during our visit-very different from other KOA's.

Spaces were a little small, but we didn’t feel to overly crowded. Honestly, was a great value compared to the hotel. Landscaped nicely and pool was fun. Probably won’t stay here again, but that’s only because I don’t intend on visiting Reno again.

We were only there one night. We had a back in space that looked over the Truckee river, that was the plus. The sites are very close together. We didn't use the pool or showers but I am sure they were fine.

Had trouble getting into the pull through site. It was uneven and difficult to level my large 5th wheel. Site was too close to each other and parking my truck next to the 5th wheel extremely difficult.

Nice RV park with nice paved sites. Right next to the Boomtown casino that has an arcade/fun center with a few small rides. Nice views of the hills and nice view of the Truckee river that runs next to the park.

Super cold, more snow than I've seen in a long time. Only issue, water kept freezing at the pipe.
