We enjoyed tenting at this KOA, particularly because of the privacy fencing, amenities, and close proximity to the restrooms. Great place!

This place is so clean! I loved the grass at the tent spot. I was more comfortable than I expected to be.

For a tent camper, they had nice set-aside spaces with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill with a nice, flat grassy area for my tent. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. I guess the big downside is Interstate 80 is but a quarter mile, or less, from the campground, making for quite a lot of roaring traffic noise..

Late check in was made super easy. Clean bathrooms and nice area of set up for tent camping with privacy fence to give you extra privacy around your site.

Green grass, covered picnic table, privacy fence for tent sites; it’s like having my own little back yard. Loved it. 2 night stay.

The staff was friendly, however the "grass" to pitch our tents on was solid cement with some patchy green spikes. The tent site was very private, the only reason I gave this place a 3, however the table was broken, the "flower pot" had smoked butts in it, the train and highway were literally on your head, so loud at night I couldn't sleep at all. The 3 showers were dirty and extremely old.

i was tent camping, so i appreciate the privacy fence from the wind and also from my neighbors, it gave you the privacy you want in camping. the bathrooms were very nice. the town of rock springs is also a nice place to check out.

Staff most helpful and friendly. Tent site private and nice grassy site for tent. RV section all gravel. Noticeable freeway noise.

The bathrooms were AMAZING. The boarded wooden fences around all tent sites were much appreciated to protect fro mute wind as well. However, the drinking water was a bit different. It had dirt and sand in it. So that wasn’t a plus but overall great stay!

Even though it is a bit close to the interstate, it wasn't too loud. The tent site had green grass, a type of canopy over the picnic table, and privacy fences - very nice. And, probably the nicest KOA bathroom that I've seen (out of about 10 so far?). Pool was great for the kids, as was the playground.

Overall the KOA was crowded and run down. The trash was over flowing and the bathrooms were in extreme decay. The tent site was not too bad and I absolutely loved the planted tree and grass pad. If the bathroom was renovated I think that would sway my experience a lot.

The girls at the front desk were very friendly and helpful and when we alerted them to some dog poop in our tent sites they cleaned it up quickly and we're so nice about it. Bathrooms were my biggest negative. Toilets should be separate from showers, one of two wasn't working, there was water all over the floor and the ventilation was poor.

Stayed in my van at a tent site with electric. It’s a windy location there & they have big UNNECESSARY fire pits. Dog diarrhea all over the grass. I witnessed at least 3 separate people in rv’s take their dogs to use the grass in the tent sites. At night & in the morning.

One of our favorite places to camp when traveling. Very personal tent sights. We have stayed there in the past, stayed here on our way out west and on the way back home. Staff is great and a great view.

Nice campground. Stairs from lower tent level to store were dangerous; needs to be fixed. Too steep and uneven.

Bathrooms and showers need remodeling. Tenting on grass and fencing for privacy. Puppy area was great, nice seating for people and stuff for puppies to do.

We had a tent site with was beautiful! Private and well taken care of. Loved having the grass and large tree with fencing for privacy. But the facilities were lacking severely. Two toilets out of three were working. The showers were so small you had to move the chair in and out of the shower to get dressed. The staff was wonderful and even with the restrooms as they were, we will be back.

Very accommodating and pleasant staff. I felt safe and secure and got a great deal of much needed rest to it being quiet. Dog friendly and easy access to great trails any distance.

On the way to Yellowstone from southern CO to Rock Springs. Long day driving through central part of CO towards WY so we were tired and happy to have a safe place to park/sleep in our sprinter van. Tent site had covered table, firepit, grassy tent pad and easy access to water. We got what we were expecting. More than we ended up getting at the Butte KOA Journey. Not all KOA Journeys are the same

I've stayed at several different KOAs across the country, and this one is the most welcoming, well-run, and nicest I've had the pleasure of visiting. It's far enough away from the highway that it's pretty quiet, it's very clean, the staff are very helpful, it's a great KOA all around!
