Was good until I got charged a late checkout fee when we had already left the park. Ckeckout was noon and we were gone at 10:00 and then got hit with a late checkout fee. Now it is up to me to show proof that we were gone. Might have to find another place to stay when we come visit our son who is at The U for school. My parents have also stayed there several times and they might look elsewhere

The space was nice and the employees were very friendly and helpful. Construction on the bathrooms was very inconvenient though.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry for the inconvenience there was a quick maintenance issue that caused a temporary closure. Everything is up and running now.

Aside from very slow wifi and very noisie dogs we had a pleasant stay. Thank you!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We will check on the wifi service in the area of the park you stayed, it should have exceeded your expectations.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Especially, Terry who offered to help with an RV issue I was having. He helped fix it and we really appreciated the help since we are new RV’ers. Will definitely be back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We're glad we could help, looking forward to seeing you again.

We had a pull-thru site with a fire pit, which meant it was on the end of a row. We liked the openness of the end site. We were also very pleased with the large shade trees throughout the campground. The other thing I liked was the way the pull-thrus were arranged so the utilities were next to each other and the patio sides were next to each other. I'm not describing it right but you know ....

Stay was great. We enjoyed our time here! Spot was just as promised, and staff was friendly and helpful!

Too noise by the street. The cover picture in the KOA Magazine doesn't seem to be by the office that's what drew me in! I would give a 10 for the insulation in the cabin, the paved driveway and the greenry surrounding the unit. Way too noise, heard lots of sirens. Staff was nice.
Aug 22, 2021
Very loud campers, especially neighbors and people riding loud dirt bikes through the park. Little privacy at spot 103 with neighbors facing me.

Just 1 night. Smooth roads, easy pullthrough site

Our site (1132)was right by the dog park, dumpsters, and playground with bad smells, lots of noise, flies, and frequent foot traffic through both sides of our site. Even in a better site, there were none of the amenities a KOA holiday should have and nothing to justify the high price. In addition, there was a music festival at the adjacent fair grounds with loud rap music and offensive lyrics.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry the timing of your stay was during concert. Very few concerts are played at the fairpark, complaints were filed by us and many other guest, about the unnecessarily loud volume, hopefully this won't ever be an issue again.

Pet area was with outdoor carpet and smelled of urine gate to dog walk closed and locked otherwise a very nice very stay except my dogs were not happy

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The Pet Area is specialized Dog Turf that is sanitized multiple times a week.

Great staff, friendly and helpful.

It was my first stay at a KOA. It was clean and nice BUT....we were put right next to the dog park and a dumpster. A few spots down would have been much nicer. It will make me more cautious on my next KOA stay.

Always a great stay. Everything about this campground is excellent.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you!

Worst KOA we have ever stayed at. Sites are mud pits next to a busy road. Awful setup - clearly a money mill - stack me deep and don’t care if they can sleep.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry your site was muddy, Salt Lake City is in a drought, and got a lot of needed rain around your stay.

Nice quite stay. Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean. Friendly and helpful staff

My husband & I come from out of state frequently for his dr. appts. at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the U of U. The hosts & support people at this KOA are always friendly & helpful. This KOA is conveniently located to my husband's doctors. The sites are clean & most are shaded with trees. Thank you for caring & keeping up COVID-19 protocols (MASKING UP) !

The camp area appeared to be in good shape and clean. However, I found that the tenants that were camping there were completely ignoring the posted speed limits - very scary considering the people and children walking around the area!!!!! I would recommend speed bumps to control the problem. I did not enjoy the continuance of train horns at numerous time after midnight!! VERY DISTURBINGJ

I asked for place to park my jeep trailer (not big) in both my reservation comments and when I checked in. Only option they gave at check in was a rather rude “ no” and directed me to park my $90,000 jeep and trailer next to the main road out front. Nope we figured out another plan that worked. No coffee in our cabin, we asked and it cost extra..etc we will be back but this was not such a grea

Front check in seemed a bit disorganized.

Bad area of town. Motel being demolished next door. Next to SLC airport and hear jets 24 hours. It is close to attractions and downtown.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are excited the Motel next store is being torn down, we will have a brand new neighbor shortly.

The SLC KOA was a very pleasant surprise to us. The Salt Lake valley can be very hot in the summer and the campground is covered with great shade trees. We also like to ride bicycles and the campground is right on the Jordan River Trail which is over 40 miles long and paved. Everyone that we interacted with at the KOA were knowledgable, helpful, and very nice! Great place. We will come back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for staying!

Great campground, horrible surrounding area. Locking gates at entrances should be added

Fine

My stay was good but was unhappy i was charged for a day i did not stay. Saltlake City was the only KOA camp that did not contact me the day before my stay to remind me of the date. I made 10 different reservations for 10 different camps On July 15th for our entire vacation and i really depended on the reminders from each camp to remember my dates. We will be there next summer. Maybe not there

Great campground, very clean and well laid out. Had it not been for the smoke from the wildfires, we would have been able to enjoy it the way we had hoped. Would definitely stay here again.

Thanks!

There was lots of shade at this campground and it was located close to public transportation. The facilities were clean. Although we were only there for one night, this is a campground I would definitely stay at again and for a longer period of time.

We stayed 6 nights. The sites were clean and well maintained. Amenities were great. The staff was helpful and friendly. They work very hard at keeping things nice. The surrounding area is a little depressed but didn't keep us from our activities. UTA light rail is right out front. Centrally located to all Salt Lake City has to offer. Only 30 minutes to Park City.

Okay RV park. Very close to neighbors all around. A bit pricey for what you get. Nice coverage of trees though. Kept things cooler.
Aug 17, 2021
We stayed 1 week and it was very nice. It was great to have big shade trees. After coming from the desert.

Everything has been great except one of the ladies in the office was quite rude to me. I had previously talked to a manager about moving to a weekly site and she asked me to come back in on a Sunday. Well the gal working on Sunday questioned me heavily and honestly talked down to me. It is crazy we pay $500 a week to park our trailer and I was treated this way. Not the best customer service.

Tent spot next to the roadway. Spent most of the night listening to cars racing, one of which we video’d to turn in. Very loud. Showers were very bad. Used nicotine pouches in the women’s and a man had pooped in one of the men’s showers and left it. Late check in however was a breeze.

Came just for a medical procedure at Huntsman, but the park was quiet, clean, very shady. Needed that shade for the 90+ degree days. didn’t have time to find an access to the river trail and dog park, tho. maybe next time.

I love SLC KOA and I do stay here often, I know that employees cannot be all places as all times but this time the speed limit was not being obeyed by many this time, other than that this is a GREAT place.
