Be warned that if there is a chance of a storm do not tent camp here! Tent sites flooded, my tent and entire site was in a foot plus of water. Left at 1:30 in the morning upon return around 7am my tent and site was still in ankle deep water. Was told by night security that the road by the tent sites regularly floods, they need to work on drainage issues! Electric stayed on all while under water.

Our stay was great. But maybe think about putting grills at the cabins or maybe grill grates for the fire pits, especially for the cabins that don’t have full kitchens. Other than that it was a good experience.

I didn't use many amenities but it appeared there were plenty of things for everyone to do. The cabin was nice and clean and met my needs. The only things that was an issue was the drainage system on the grounds. Heavy rain caused standing water to my ankles on the road ways that made trips to the restrooms very unpleasant. I know rain si out of control but water removal needs improving.

We had lots of fun at Sandusky Bay Koa. The campfire rings were great with the Adirondack chairs. The pool was really nice. The cabins were older. The only thing that I really didn’t like was the constant noise of the traffic and train.

Excellent staff, looking forward to exploring the grounds and staying longer on our next visit. The only reason for the 4star was the cabin we were in is slightly damaged but very clean otherwise

I know a lot of people are probably staying there for Cedar Point, because that's why we stayed, but it was way to loud every night we were there. We stayed in a cabin, tried having a fire but the smoke from the cabin behind us because of how the fire pits and cabins are laid out blew right in face and we ended up just going to bed because we couldn't enjoy with the smoke. The cabin was super nice and cute. The staff was friendly. We only stayed one night so didn't get to experience much. I did find that the bathroom was pretty run down and not the nicest compared to other KOA I stayed at. I also didn't like the shower set up. As a single parent traveling with a toddler there is no way I could shower at the facility. Still nice stay, just not good for single parent.

My stay was good. Nice campground. Wish they had a drainage for rain in place as we had bad storm when we came. Which I know cannot be noones fault but there was nowhere for water to drain so we got FLOODED out bad.

Our site was well taken care of. The showers and restrooms were kept clean and the 2 swimming pools were great. The only downside was the seagulls that hung out next door at the car dealership. They made a lot of noise at 6:00 am.

Only stayed on night passing through. Friendly staff and nice pool area. Campsites were a little tight and could use some updating. Not bad for a one night stay.

We enjoyed our stay. Our cabin was perfect. The grounds were kept very clean and were quiet. Yes, the train ran often, but we got used to it after the first night.

Paid for premium site and were right next to the dumpsters and overflow parking. Trains tracks were also right next door and the trains ran constantly and the train whistle when on all night.

Found this place by accident, just looking for somewhere close to cedar point that was affordable. Now we plan on coming back, but just to visit here. Staff was great for the most part. Had some issues upgrading from tent site to cabin (cabin was dirty, staff took a while to show up to clean, an hour or 2, and they didn't knock when they arrived, they just walked in) we had a blast though!

I was ready to stay in a RUSTIC cabin. I had my mosquito spray and fan. I was not expecting such a clean and cute little room with cold a/c a bench and tv. We were very pleasantly suprised. Office staff was very friendly as well. (I have stayed here many times as I live next to train tracks and it doesnt faze me) we have just never stayed in these cabins. We definitely will again.

We were very pleased with our stay! I had to remind the front desk to have firewood delivered a few times, but it was remedied right away.

70 buck a night for a tiny spot and no picnic table… seems like a rip off. The place was real crowded. It was close to the water/swamp, and a train ran right by the camp. When I was quoted the price I thought well it will be a nice place…. The showers were hot, and bathroom picked up. Would not stay again.

Other than the rude campers staying there and the WET fire wood sold there it was good. We paid $7 x 2 bundles for wood that smoked instead of burning.

it was so comfortable!!! we needed a place to stay after a day at cedar point! the location was amazing, the staff was SO nice, the amount of amenities that the campground offers is amazing!

Overall it was good, and would possibly stay again. Our unit could use some basic maintenance. Bathroom counter top, loose toilet seat, dust ceiling fans. The refrigerator was loud and took overnight to get cold. There was a sign about having to wait for hot water. We got just enough to get soapy then no more hot water, cold rinse!! No one asked how things were at check out. Find it here I guess.

I came with my extended family for several nights. We had an RV, as well as several tent campers. We LOVED the Sandusky/Bayshore KOA. The grounds were clean and well-kept. The staff and long-term campers were all very friendly and helpful, and the bath houses and facilities were well-maintained. Thanks so much for a great time. We'll be back next year!

Very clean campsite and helpful staff. There are lots of cool things to do there as well like archery and swimming at the pools.

Rented a Deluxe Cabin and paid $700 for 3 nights and was not supplied with any extra trash bags or toilet paper, although those two things were not met to my families satisfaction the cabin was nice and the campground had plenty of activities for the little ones. BRING GOLF CART RENTALS BACK !!

Very nice place. Lots to do for the kids. The only thing was the train that blows its horn at 5:00 am and throughout the day.

We stayed 3 nights in a deluxe site that had a nice concrete stamped pad long enough for our camper. The site had a nice table with an umbrella and a rocking bench as well. The only drawbacks were the sites were really close on this row where our dinette slide came right up to the site deck behind us and we were right across from one of the two pools where the light stayed on until 11 pm.

The extra touches really made our stay, we had a great time and barely left the KOA. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids happy and us grown folks got some relaxation in. Thanks for a great stay!

Spaces were crowded, bathrooms were outdated and not clean. Park was crowded with so many people at sites and cabins. As many as 10 people were at the site behind us and they were loud beyond the 11:00 PM quiet time. The patios were almost touching each other with no privacy between them. We did not sit outside due to the over crowding of people all around. Not worth the premium we paid.

We chose this site because of the pull through for big rigs as well as the proximity to Cedar Point for the grandkids. Very accommodating. Very friendly. Good kid activities we enjoyed walking the grounds and sitting on the shore of the bay. Disappointed in lack of transportation to/from amusement park.

Here's the deal. Your campsites are so close together you can't breath! You can't do anything at your site besides sit at a table. There's no room to move around, play cornhole, etc. Even the firepit's are too close to the camper and vehicles. You need more trees and shade. The raised wooden decks are a safety hazard. You have to be constantly vigilante about moving around.

Nothing like I remember it a few years ago. To crammed in and another family member after a one night stay was told they had to move because they put them in the wrong spot only to have the next family pull in and leave the following morning. Plus there is no shelter or pavilion for family reunions/dinner. I did however like the patios.
