We were very pleased with the customer service. The campground was very clean and well cared for by the staff. There was a very large Christmas tree on the campsite near us with Christmas tree lights all the way to the top. We plugged them in for 1 evening and the kids nearby were delighted. Christmas in September! A bright sight during all the mess in California right now. Definitely a plus!!

The location Is ideal with access to a variety of activities. Our campsite was well groomed and every amenity functional. Staff were kind and professional. My only criticism is the restroom shower stalls need an update.

Hate to say it, but we really disagreed with them allowing open flame camp fires. They're surrounded by dry tender, and this is early September when all CA forests are closed due to fire threat. No where else allows fires right now. Seems irresponsible and simply unsafe given the conditions. Wouldn't go back to this place.

This campground is very clean. The RV hook-ups are accessible. There are swings, jumping spot, and swimming pool for everyone. Showers, laundry, and a convenience store with treats. Quiet hours are clearly posted. It was a most relaxing spot.

We needed a place to meet friends halfway between San Francisco & Los Angeles. It was exactly 3 1/2 hours between cities. The cabins were perfect for us & our dogs. It was great to have the pool for the 110 degree day. I highly recommend this place!

Very well kept campground, clean and quiet. BUT if you are older it is a difficult site to do much walking. Steep gravel roads around the camp sites. Nice area to let the dogs play, but it was a hike up the hill to get there. I didn't get to the lake. Another fee just to drive in, so I passed. I am just about "feed out" on camping and traveling.

It’s an awesome place, unfortunately the time of year we decided to come was just too hot and our nights in the cabin were unbearable and we decided to loose some money for checking out a day early, but it was just miserable at night!!!

Nice campground layout and great activities. Close to a lake with great boating and fishing. Not far from the beach. Could use more shade for some tent camping sites. Bathroom access is not so convenient.

Cabins were great. Campground was very quiet. Pool area was too crowded for comfort given COVID-19 situation and also was not cleaned sufficiently. Staff wore masks intermittently and I would have preferred they wore them more. Really liked the campground overall!

Enjoyed my stay At KOA at Santa Margarita. Campground is located in a beautiful hilly setting. I stayed in a Kamping Kabin that was located under shady oak trees. Bathrooms were very clean and showers worked well. This campground is perfect for family fun. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Minutes to Santa Margarita Lake as well. I am going to camp here again in the future!

We loved our stay at your camp . But there was not much to do . Maybe because of the covid . We still had fun looking up at the stars at night . We will definitely be back

Kim was so accommodating and polite! Last minute on a busy weekend and she found the last spot for us. Was amazed at how everyone in campgrounds was cooperative and complied by the rules - not one loud radio or screaming child! Will be back for certain.

It was nice to meet the owner, Karen. She made me feel very welcome on our arrival. All the other staff members were very interested in making sure that everyone in the campground was having a great camping experience as opposed to the government run campsites. It was a very personable experience interacting with everyone I came in contact with who worked there. Can't find that much these days.

I had a wonderful two days here. The staff in the office/store are rays of light. The campground is peaceful, gorgeous, and a genuinely good-spirited area. I would only recommend this campground to people who prioritize respecting their environment.

Had a great time. The campground was clean, kid friendly and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The cabin was wonderful, spacious, clean and in a nice area. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice people, noisy but quiet hours were generally maintained, seems like fun for kids (which we don't have). pet friendly, cabins and yurts look nice, we did the tent camping with just water hookup. the only ding would be that it's a challenge to get into some spots, including ours - very steep angles and narrow car path on a hill

Enjoyed our stay. The sites were well spaced, not right on top of each other like others we have been to. Living in the Central coast the weather could have been nicer. We thought we had to reserve a pool time to observe social distancing, but several people entered the pool area without reservation times and quickly became crowded. But overall it was a nice experience.

Fun stay for kids and adult kids. I camped by myself in tent camping it was my first stay at a KOA as a member. I enjoyed watching the kids and can’t wait to take my grandkids.

Amazing stay! From check-in to helping set a yellowjacket trap - KOA staff and campground was a perfect getaway! Hookups worked perfectly. Highly recommend.

Staff was wonderful. All very helpful. Bathrooms spacious and very clean. Quiet and relaxing, we didn’t want to leave.

Amazing Camping. A lot of to do with kids. So nice swimming pool and Zip Line area. I am recommend this a special at the week days!

5 stars for sure ! What hidden gem ! Wolf & Lisa and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, very helpful as well as extremely knowledgeable of the area. My wife and I had a great time enjoying the camp store as well as the lake and the surrounding area. The campground was very well kept and clean we cant wait to make it back again. Thanks KOA
