The staff was very kind and helpful. They were willing to accommodate us to a different spot when my boyfriend wasn’t comfortable with the initial site. He decided to keep the spot and we had a wonderful weekend.

Second Stay. This experience was far inferior to our first; during our initial stay, staff drove by, waved, and asked about buying wood, etc. and how our stay was going. This time, staff drove by repeatedly without notice or concern. WiFi was supposedly available, but could not be accessed due to extremely weak signal, critical call was missed due to this. All said, disappointed with this stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful when asked. Spaces were advertised as gravel. Ours was dirt and extremely out of level. Even with leveling blocks I couldn’t get level enough for my refrigerator to work. I expressed my disappointment and was told all the spots are “sloped for drainage.” Restroom was never cleaned in the five days of my stay. Won’t stay there again.

this so far is my favorite koa, we have been staying at koa's with my family in the early 60's. The owner karen Jacobsma was a very nice and gracious host, here staff was very helpful and kind. then there is wolf. ha ha great hand!!!! he and his wife are keepers. in site 90 and the minute i got out of my truck, boom 10 mule deer. excellent. it was very cold,bath house VERY clean. and kevin the emu

Beautiful isolated campsite #89 keeps us coming back! Views, wild turkeys ��, woodpeckers. Very clean and well-maintained. Friendly helpful staff. See you again soon!

It was great! My kids enjoyed the jumping pillow. I enjoyed the WiFi that let me stream the games. Close to the lake and golf courses. Friendly staff.

Exceeded our expectations! Pleasantly impressed at every turn. So many amenities, beautiful and versatile sites, friendly staff, prime location. We will definitely be back again and again!!

We stayed Friday night to Sunday morning, the whole camp ground was clean and staff was very friendly. We loved the jumping pillow and swings!!

It was a great first stay for our little family. We stayed in the fishbowl which was perfect for my 2 year old to ride his bike around. We just wish the pool was heated but everything else was wonderful!

Lots to do! Kids loved the jumping pillow, swimming and feeding Kevin the emu. Grownups loved cornhole amd the closeness of the campsite to the play areas and restrooms! Will be back!

My only complaint is that our campsite was narrow, with a steep drop-off on one side composed of loose dirt that seemed to be crumbling away. In particular, the picnic table was right on the edge, so that sitting on one of the two sides was scary. On the plus, we enjoyed the bouncy pillow and Kevin the emu. I stopped by the front desk a few times to chat with "Kim Anne", who was very helpful!

Karen kindly answered our after hours phone call to take our last minute reservation & gave us a great spot. The restroom facilities were well maintained & lit. I highly recommend this KOA & we are grateful for the great customer service!

We had a lovely, dusty stay at Santa Margarita KOA! The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow, pool and camping fun! The location of hills, valleys and trails makes this KOA unusual and unique! The stargazers trail was amazing on the clear night! One change is to add a gravel pit for water over flow from the spigot goes otherwise we had mud running through camp and made for an extra messy space. Thank!

My tent site was so spacious and flat that we really enjoyed tent camping. It was very private and secluded lot and very quiet. Camp fire was good and staffs were very kind and professional. We will come back.

This place has GOT to be, hands down, the BEST and most scenic KOA around. There are many I haven’t been to yet, but this one, at the very least, remains almost at the very top. I absolutely love all of the secluded tent camping options. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I loved the experience of remote camping, but in a safe park with great security. The staff are awesome, too! A+++

The staff were great and kindly moved us to a different spot after a nasty hornet swarm encounter. Wish we had known about the hornets to begin as it was a little difficult to move. Loved the 2nd spot though!!

Staff were friendly and recommended we switch camp sites to 91. We were very happy with the recommendation and view! The bathrooms were far, but they were clean and updated. We were very happy with our stay at this campground.

Wonderful place, just wish there's was more grassy areas. Maybe more in the winter. Hoping to come then. Bathroom got really bad Sat.afternoon. Loved the activities that were held also really liked the little store in the office for coffee creamers and ice and those things. The girls at the front office were wonderful and highly friendly ���, they need raised I'm sure!!

It was a father and daughter getaway and we had an amazing time at the KOA, especially with our neighbor, Kevin the Emu. We enjoyed kayaking in the lake and in the ocean, as well as horseback riding, and hope to be back again soon with family and friends.

Restrooms could have been cleaner. I overheard the owner mention they strictly enforce the quiet hours and someone should be driving around to make sure everyone was being compliant but both nights music was on until 2 am. 1st night it was a reunion group, over by the bathrooms so it was not too close to so we let it go but the second night a family came in at the site above us. But nice otherwise

Can't say enough good things about the staff, they are so friendly and welcoming. The kids loved all the animal sightings from deer, wild turkeys and feeding Kevin the emu. We were there during a family reunion, so there was A LOT of car traffic late at night. The jumping pillow was fun with great views. Bathrooms are a bit of a hike, but clean! Enjoyed our campsite, beautiful grounds, the kids loved the jumping pillow and Kevin the Emu. LOTS of yellow jackets, pool was extremely full and the kids in the pool weren't being watched by parents so we ended up leaving the pool, lots of construction as well. We woke up to chainsaws and machinery being used every morning.

This was our 3rd time here. We travel from Maryland every other year and we always stay here. With all the trees and the shaded pool, it is our favorite KOA.

Amazing Camping. A lot of to do with kids. So nice swimming pool and Zip Line area. I am recommend this a special at the week days!

5 stars for sure ! What hidden gem ! Wolf & Lisa and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, very helpful as well as extremely knowledgeable of the area. My wife and I had a great time enjoying the camp store as well as the lake and the surrounding area. The campground was very well kept and clean we cant wait to make it back again. Thanks KOA
