First time staying there but not our last! Everyone was so nice. The lake was peaceful and relaxing. Should of stayed longer.

Staff was pleasant, campground was very dusty. We were right next to main road and everytime a car passed tons of dust in our site. Bathrooms crowded. Beautiful area and nice people, but not my favorite KOA.

friendly and helpful staff. my family loves to camp there. we've stayed in the cabins and tent camped as well. we love both. kids love the pool and jumping pillow.

Wonderful place, just wish there's was more grassy areas. Maybe more in the winter. Hoping to come then. Bathroom got really bad Sat.afternoon. Loved the activities that were held also really liked the little store in the office for coffee creamers and ice and those things. The girls at the front office were wonderful and highly friendly ���, they need raised I'm sure!!

Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner. There was a general scent of sewage around our campsite. The campsites around our location were noisy until past 11:00 p.m.

Our site was #29 and was pretty easy to get into. Within 10-15 minutes we were unhooked and leveled. The site has good afternoon shade. Pretty center to the whole park. The park was clean and had plenty of trash receptacles around. It was our first time there, and we will be back.

The campground itself and the location is great. We stayed in site 26 which was nice in terms of having more space from other campers and was shady. The amenities such as the pool, jumping pillow, and the Emu kept our kids entertained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Maintenance of the campground could be better. Cleaning is only superficial and needed to be improved, especially bathrooms.

Cabin 85 was THE BEST. My family loved everything about this campground, barring unreliable wifi. ;) It was our first time at a KOA site, but it won’t be the last. Thanks for a great time.

It was a father and daughter getaway and we had an amazing time at the KOA, especially with our neighbor, Kevin the Emu. We enjoyed kayaking in the lake and in the ocean, as well as horseback riding, and hope to be back again soon with family and friends.

The area and overall campground are fantastic. The staff are the nicest we have ever met! Our only issue was that the facilities were filthy. Bathrooms and pool/pool area were absolutely disgusting. The pool was moldy and murky. I was pulling other camper's hair out of the pool the whole time we were there. We are so looking forward to going back but hope next time will be cleaner. Thank you.

We are a young family of 4 and this was such a perfect place. Very low key and relaxing while the kids had a blast in the pool and on the jumping pad. The Friday night movie and slip and slide were also such a fun addition. We already booked our next stay. Thank you very much for the memories.

Not to KOA standards. Filthy took a shower with spicers. Bathroom smelled like urine. We were very disappointed

Restrooms could have been cleaner. I overheard the owner mention they strictly enforce the quiet hours and someone should be driving around to make sure everyone was being compliant but both nights music was on until 2 am. 1st night it was a reunion group, over by the bathrooms so it was not too close to so we let it go but the second night a family came in at the site above us. But nice otherwise

Can't say enough good things about the staff, they are so friendly and welcoming. The kids loved all the animal sightings from deer, wild turkeys and feeding Kevin the emu. We were there during a family reunion, so there was A LOT of car traffic late at night. The jumping pillow was fun with great views. Bathrooms are a bit of a hike, but clean! A heads up lake marina and activities are closed T/W

Great Staff and Great Location... Staff friendly and very helpful with accomadating our large Family group of over 100 who came and camped... Clean camp as well... Will definitely visit again...

It was very pleasant & enjoyable but the internet sucks�. The park was well maintained, the hot shower was great & we enjoyed petting Kevin�.

Enjoyed our campsite, beautiful grounds, the kids loved the jumping pillow and Kevin the Emu. LOTS of yellow jackets, pool was extremely full and the kids in the pool weren't being watched by parents so we ended up leaving the pool, lots of construction as well. We woke up to chainsaws and machinery being used every morning.

This was our 3rd time here. We travel from Maryland every other year and we always stay here. With all the trees and the shaded pool, it is our favorite KOA.

The campground was as expected except the tent areas were a little smaller than expected, but my group stayed up in the Fingers area, so we rented all 4 spaces for our group of 25 guests, so we were able to manage. The facilities were clean and monitored regularly. The activities for the kids were hands down the best I have seen at previous KOA's, so that was definitely a plus.

My stay was amazing. I LOVED my campsite and the staff was incredible. Especially Vincent, he was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be returning and telling people about KOA Santa Margarita!

Kim was very helpful in helping us book our perfect tent camping site. We had so much fun while we were there! I also have to mention how wonderful the ladies were at check in, answering my questions while at the pool, and how sweet they were while we were checking out. Every interaction we had with the KOA staff was delightful

We always have a great time at SMK. We had issues with the toilet and the HVAC but luckily they have attentive staff at this location. See you guys next year!

We had the cabin #3 cool by the pool. It’s nice and secluded from the rest of the campsite. Had a great time definitely come in the weekends lots of activities for the family.

We had such a wonderful family camping trip here. We stayed during the week so it wasn’t so crowded or loud. My daughter was upset that the jump pillow wasn’t working, but she still enjoyed herself.

Amazing Camping. A lot of to do with kids. So nice swimming pool and Zip Line area. I am recommend this a special at the week days!

5 stars for sure ! What hidden gem ! Wolf & Lisa and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, very helpful as well as extremely knowledgeable of the area. My wife and I had a great time enjoying the camp store as well as the lake and the surrounding area. The campground was very well kept and clean we cant wait to make it back again. Thanks KOA
