We had a great time. We rode our bikes, hiked and kayaked at the lake. We had a couple of nights where our neighbors were noisy after 10 PM. Otherwise, great first time visit.

Quick two night stay to try our new camper. Had a great time. Quiet and kids loved the jump pillow, Kevin the emu, and the gnome village. Pool was great as well. Thank you to all the friendly staff for a great trip!

Lovely campground with friendly staff, clean facilities, nice pool and lots of fun amenities for kids. Hiking at beautiful Santa Margarita lake just down the road!

We stay at a lot of KOA’s - this is by far one of the best. We had a great site, super quiet. The bathroom was a little bit of a trek, but we enjoyed playing with dogs along the way. The host was really nice and helpful. We will definitely go back! In fact, I am already trying to book it again!

I am sad to say we will not be staying there again. There was a group of trailers that were partying well after 10. They had to be told to quiet the music at 10 by the KOA staff but continued. Called the emergency line a bunch but at 11pm I dressed and walked down to the trailer of the KOA employee and woke him and he said he would take care of it. the noise and obscenities did not end til 12:40.

The campground itself was very nice and the staff that we interacted with were very friendly. The level of noise from the five sites below us that made up one big group of foul mouthed inconsiderate nimrods . I understand 10:00 is the start of quiet time, and technically these morons adhered to that, but something should've been done about the 10 hours of loud music and yelling prior to that.

It was a super vacation!!! My only complaint was the internet was terrible on our site #51. I work from home so it would have been nice to get a little work done. But I guess it was a great reason not to work. � Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Not enough caricatures to write what I wanted! Great view large flock of turkeys and Quail running through the grounds, The site was clean, the closest shower/restrooms were clean the staff were friendly and helpful, unfortunately the dog run was shutdown for new grass my dog Tux had a hard time with that all in all we can’t wait till our next visit.

We loved this campground and will be back. It was just me and my hubby this time but we plan to return with our grandkids since you have some really nice things for kids! Can’t wait! Your staff is awesome to!

The front desk help was downright awesome, Katie Ann, accommodating, kind, funny, efficient and informative. I tried to get a spot at another KOA earlier, and even though I camped there prior recently, they would not allow my truck tent for some reason, even after explaining I was just there. This Santa Margarita spot was beautiful, facilities were nice, spot was perfect, will camp to there again!

Loved the quiet and secluded location. Rolling hills and lots of wildlife to enjoy. We were at one of the two pull through spots. Ours was located next to sewer collection station so was a bit too aromatic for my liking. Staff were super friendly and addressed the cold bathroom and only warm showers immediately when I brought it up. We were very happy campers there!

This is a wonderful campground. It’s set in the mountains, vineyards, and citrus groves. The staff was outstanding and really took care of us. We spent almost two weeks there and will hopefully return.

All the staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The campsites are cleaned regularly and there are so many nice features throughout the park for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely be back!

Very nice campground. Awesome host, Michelle, along with all the other employees! The only improvement needed us with the wi-fi. It works but not very strong. The kids could watch their tablets but no streaming for tv. Local channels did come in with antenna. We'll be back!! Kids loved the jump pillow and Kevin the emu.

Had a great time. Friendly staff. If you want to just get away and be in the Forrest this is a great place to go. Lots of things to do within a 30 min drive to San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, and Pismo Beach

Our stay is a return trip back to Santa Margarita KOA. We love it here! Campground is 1/2 mile from actual lake. The grounds are beautiful. Plenty of outdoor activities for children and adults and Emu named Kevin to visit. Campfires are allowed. Quiet time is 10pm to 8am. And their store is such a great convenience. The KOA staff members are so wonderful and friendly and very accommodating.

What a wonderful place, this campground is nestled into the hillside, and feels like your outdoors, and the lack of city lights make star gazing incredible, especially for someone coming up from Orange County, CA We can’t wait to be back.

I highly recommend this KOA camp. I would rate it in the top 5 we have stayed at in the country. Wonderful helpful staff - especially Kim Anne! All the facilities were well maintained and clean. Sites roomy in a beautiful nature setting and close to the lake. We really enjoyed renting a reasonably priced pontoon boat for 2 hrs ($100)

WE loved this KOA so much! It was one of the best places for the entire family! The people and grounds were wonderful. The site had everything for all ages. We can't wait to come back for another wonderful stay. Kim Ann and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The Jumping Pillow was a hit for our 9 year old son! thank you so much for making our first time at this KOA so special!

It was a really nice stay, peaceful and beautiful natural sites to see. If you have kids they will love to jump pillow.

Amazing Camping. A lot of to do with kids. So nice swimming pool and Zip Line area. I am recommend this a special at the week days!

5 stars for sure ! What hidden gem ! Wolf & Lisa and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, very helpful as well as extremely knowledgeable of the area. My wife and I had a great time enjoying the camp store as well as the lake and the surrounding area. The campground was very well kept and clean we cant wait to make it back again. Thanks KOA
