We enjoyed a relaxing stay. So much to do here. Walked to the lake for some fishing, didn’t catch anything but enjoyed it. Rode our bikes. Played frisbee golf, that my son loved so much we did it two days in a row! Our dogs loved the pet area with obstacles! My son is still talking about Kevin the Emu too! Campsites were clean and all hookups worked!

We enjoyed a Wonderful one week stay on the Mesa. A big shout out to Kim Ann and Daisy - both were friendly, courteous and efficient. The campground is very well maintained. The campground store was well stocked with all kinds of supplies. I would definitely stay at Santa Margarita KOA again as it is located in a very beautiful area of SLO county.

WiFi worked off and on, park was too steep to bike and to get to the lake took $10 and a half mile down the road. The cost of the park was definitely over priced

It was good. Only thing I recommend is having paved rv sites instead of mud and gravel. The emu Kevin was a hit for my kids and the bouncy pillow. The scenery was nice with hills. It was very quiet when we arrived first night everyone was in trailers by 8pm. I didn’t know people don’t like to stay by the fire after 8.? We were the only ones up in our area lol.

It was our first time staying with KOA and we were not disappointed at all. Customer service was great, noise was not an issue at all and RV sites are good sized. We will definitely be coming back!

Park was great, everyone was nice. Pool was closed due to Covid. No bugs during winter season is a plus.

We camped with a group over Thanksgiving and were very impressed with the friendliness and hospitality of the employees. Thank you so much. We already have reservations for next year!

First time there, first time out with our trailer. I got stuck and Jonathan & Tyler (?) both came out and helped me ASAP and made feel not as embarrassed as I was feeling. Campground is super clean and staff is friendly. Will definitely visit again, but with a bigger truck LOL

Staff is Awesome! Tyler helped us in a bind. We were able to have my Husbands medication that was forgotten sent and office staff delivered to our site. 5 star!

We had such a lovely stay! The campground was basically empty, which led to us being able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the scenery! It was absolutely beautiful! The grounds are kept very well and the staff is excellent. They were all extremely nice and accommodating. Since we stayed during COVID restrictions, amenities were closed but we still had a WONDERFUL stay!! Will be back 100%!!!

Great campground! Spots are super close to each other though and the roads are not flat so we couldn’t ride bikes with young kids. Beautiful scenery!

At 60 bucks a night there were a few reasonable expectations unmet. Primarily the shower mats and the black disgusting grime beneath and around them were unexpected and unwelcome. Next, I expect people to wear face coverings indoors during the pandemic. Employees and guests seemed out of touch with the pandemic protocols in California. The Santa Margarita KOA was beautiful. The sites were large and the staff friendly. It was within walking distance to the lake and a short drive to several coastal towns.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was so nice, friendly, and accommodating. There was a lot for us to do, very kid friendly. We were able to have campfires in our campsite even, it was a great weekend! Thank you KOA staff for your friendliness. We will come back again!

We had a very nice stay. The kids enjoyed the play area and visiting Kevin, the emu. We all appreciated the clean bathrooms and friendly staff. The space was level and clean. All the hook ups worked as advertised. I want to give a special thank you to Karen for coming out in the dark and guiding me backward down a hill when I took a wrong turn. She was amazing!

The spot we stayed was pretty secluded from the rest of the camp making for a nice evening under the stars. Things were still a little noisy though. Our biggest comment would be the size of Kevin the Emu’s cage and lack of companionship. It would be nice if Kevin could have more space and a friend because the current situation did seem a little sad.

Power problems, not mine. How do you expect to run a row of RV’s on a 100 amp breaker? Chain saw all day. Not exactly quiet and relaxing.

The park was fine. The issue was the electric power supplied to the campground is completely inadequate. A 100 amp service for a row of RVs with with 50 amp services. The main circuit breaker kept tripping on on our last full day there. The power went out at least 6 times during the day beginning at 8:00 AM. That needs to be fixed.

Amazing Camping. A lot of to do with kids. So nice swimming pool and Zip Line area. I am recommend this a special at the week days!

5 stars for sure ! What hidden gem ! Wolf & Lisa and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, very helpful as well as extremely knowledgeable of the area. My wife and I had a great time enjoying the camp store as well as the lake and the surrounding area. The campground was very well kept and clean we cant wait to make it back again. Thanks KOA
