Enjoyed our stay. The sites were well spaced, not right on top of each other like others we have been to. Living in the Central coast the weather could have been nicer. We thought we had to reserve a pool time to observe social distancing, but several people entered the pool area without reservation times and quickly became crowded. But overall it was a nice experience.

Amazing stay! From check-in to helping set a yellowjacket trap - KOA staff and campground was a perfect getaway! Hookups worked perfectly. Highly recommend.

Staff was wonderful. All very helpful. Bathrooms spacious and very clean. Quiet and relaxing, we didn’t want to leave.

The RV park is peaceful and quiet, the campsites are laid out in a hilly oak tree covered terrain providing space and distance between neighbors and shade at various times of day. Park hosts are helpful and courteous. The park includes many amenities not all KOA parks offer. We really enjoyed having a site with both a campfire fire ring and separate charcoal BBQ grill.

My first trip to Santa Margarita. Camp site was great. Unfortunately everything on lake was closed but will definitely return.

It was such an awesome experience! Camp site #22 was awesome. Plenty of space for everyone. The staff was very helpful. The bathrooms were great. Having electric & water was definitely worth the additional fee. Everything was great. I will be coming again in the future to this campground.

The campground was nice and well kept. It seemed less populated due to the hills and design of the location. If you are looking for a good lake to go to nearby, there isn't great options.

It was nice to be so close to the lake to go kayaking. The restrooms were disgusting. They were not cleaned even once during our 2 night stay. I actually took it upon myself to wipe down the sink area in the women's bathroom. The staff in the office were nice but the office closed so early (5pm).

enjoyed the stay, quiet, peaceful, hosts were very friendly, assisted us with courtesy. The only drawback was the long trip to Pismo Beach where we had family. thank you very much. will be back...

We stayed on a Wednesday and the marina was closed��� Wish there was gravel or dg at the sites. Very very dusty The sad ostriche �� was a problem to a bunch of us

First of all I was not a fan of KOA. I have looked at a few in the past, not good. However I looked at all the reviews and was impressed. So we gave it a try. This is not your normal KOA. If you were like me about KOA give this one a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. The park is very well kept, RV spaces great kids had fun, and the lake was nice. Come see for yourself...I will be back!!!!

Camp was dry, dusty, too hilly and expensive. But the staff was great, so helpful with a camper problem we had, esp. the maintenance staff person.

We liked your campground, except for the fact that there was an issue with your electrical outlets. My rig had our surge protector connected thankfully. Power was surging at times and other times not enough amperage. My refrigerator wasn't working properly and we were absolutely level. Your staff was very helpful and nice. We will stay again if power is fixed. Thank you.

Very enjoyable experience. My only recommendation would be to find some way to keep the dust down from the roads. Seems there is a lot of driving about and the dust is pretty extensive.

We had a blast! The camp ground was well kept. Workers sanitized everything before we arrived. It was quiet and peaceful. We saw a few deer and there is a peacock in the property that was fun to visit. People were friendly and helpful. There is a lake 1/2 mile away that we bikes to and then took a paddle boat ride. Super peaceful and a lovely place to stay for a couple of nights.

I had a wonderful stay. The campground was beautiful. I do think your pool area should be upgraded with heat and a jacuzzi since it never really gets that hot there.

Bathrooms were always clean. telephone calls were answered quickly and very friendly manner. Recommended to a friend and she said she loved how she was treated on the phone. When our arrangements needed to be changed, it was handled quickly and in a friendly manner. You don't always get the feeling you are dealing with a friend at a campground. Friendly, downright friendly

The service was great! However, the pool was pretty disgusting and there was a large group in there with a boy swimming in his dirty socks. Wish this experience felt more sanitary. The pillow trampoline was a big crowd pleaser with the kids and the grounds were pretty and very rustic.

Staff was very friendly but there was a little too much dirt and hills for our liking. Thank you for being friendly hosts. Also, it would have been nice to have seen better pictures of the actual sites before our booking.

Our campsite was dirt and a beat up picnic table. The wind blew dust everywhere. It was miserable.

I was very disappointed to see all the trash around the campground - empty liquor bottle, water bottles, discarded clothing, etc.

Was nice, lost water one night right before our shower burst survived with a unhappy wife. Wr stayed three nights Friday- Monday and garbage stacked up. All together our 3rd trip there and plan to return again.

It was great. Only concern was the bathroom and the water stopping mid shower on more than one occasion. Staff was amazing!

I was never greeted by staff - even when I went into the store. There was a pool but in this time of COVID, I was surprised how many people were allowed in the pool and also on the jump pillow. When they showed the movie - there was no social distancing. When we first arrived I could smell weed. A loud generator ran during quiet time. The lake is nice for boating, fishing, and viewing wildlife.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are sorry that you had less than an excellent visit. We normally greet every Guest. I am not sure why you were not greeted. We are following all CDPH COVID Guidelines. Family Units are allowed to be together. Our Jumping Pillow is officially closed so anyone using it did so at their own risk. Marijuana is legal in CA so it is difficult for us to restrict its use. We're glad you enjoyed nature.

Amazing Camping. A lot of to do with kids. So nice swimming pool and Zip Line area. I am recommend this a special at the week days!

5 stars for sure ! What hidden gem ! Wolf & Lisa and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly, very helpful as well as extremely knowledgeable of the area. My wife and I had a great time enjoying the camp store as well as the lake and the surrounding area. The campground was very well kept and clean we cant wait to make it back again. Thanks KOA
