Discover your perfect lakeside retreat on the scenic north shore of Lake Marion, South Carolina's largest lake. Whether you're looking for a convenient overnight stop along I-95 or planning an extended getaway, Santee/Santee Lakes KOA Journey offers the ideal blend of natural beauty, modern conveniences, and Southern hospitality. Conveniently located just off I-95 at Exit 102 KOA, our campground serves as the perfect halfway point between Florida and New York. We're just minutes from restaurants, shops, and championship golf courses, with historic Charleston only an hour away. 

Our campground is the perfect location for family-friendly water recreation, with scenic lakefront access on Lake Marion. We offer a private beach area perfect for picturesque sunsets, a lake swimming area, and outdoor pool (open May 15 - October 15, 10 AM to sunset). Fish from our private pier, dock your boat, and jump on the water!

Pool Hours

The pool is open from 10:00 a.m. - sunset; May 15th - October 15th.  SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK – NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY.  Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Wristbands must be worn at the pool at all times.

Cable TV Note

Due to the rural nature of our location, there is no cable provider in the area; therefore, we cannot provide cable to our campers.

Conveniently located just off I-95 at Exit 102 KOA, our campground serves as the perfect halfway point between Florida and New York. We're just minutes from restaurants, shops, and championship golf courses, approximately 100 miles from both the North Carolina and Georgia state lines, and just a 75-minute drive from Columbia and Charleston, key tourism destinations in South Carolina. This makes the campground an ideal stop for travelers heading south or north. The campground offers over 120 Pull-Thru RV sites, surrounded by majestic oaks draped in Spanish moss, tall pines, and tropical palmettos. You can relax by the lakefront and enjoy picturesque sunsets over the water, or choose a Lakefront RV site for a stunning view. We also offer brand-new Premium cottages (linens included), Standard cottages, and Duplex cottages for larger groups.

In addition to our beautiful setting, you can enjoy swimming in the lake or pool, try your luck at fishing, and gather with other campers around the community fire pit. Engage in sports and yard games with family and friends, or relax on the beach and soak in the natural beauty. Plus, your pet will love exercising at KampK9!

Max pull thru: 85 feet. Please call for reservations for sites over 65 feet.

Quiet Hours

Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. for the comfort of all guests.  Children are required to be on their sites during quiet time hours.

Swimming & Fishing

Our campground is the perfect location for family-friendly water recreation, with scenic lakefront access on Lake Marion. We offer a private beach area perfect for picturesque sunsets, a lake swimming area, and an outdoor pool (open May 15 - October 15, 10 AM to sunset). Fish from our private pier, dock your boat, and jump on the water! Fishing Pier:  Please call SCDNR at 1-866-714-3611 to obtain a freshwater fishing permit number.  NO jumping or diving from the fishing pier.

General Information

We are so pleased you have chosen to spend some time at our beautiful campground.  If there is anything we can do to enhance your stay, please do not hesitate to ask.

There is a maximum of 6 people and 2 vehicles allowed per site.  This includes guests.  All visitors to the campground must register with the office, pay a visitor's fee and obtain a car tag. 
ALL vehicles must have a KOA tag prominently displayed while on the campground. 
All golf carts must obtain a KOA tag and be operated only by a licensed driver.  No motorized scooters or gas powered golf carts allowed on the grounds.  Only 1 camping unit per site.

Speed Limit: 10mph.  Please watch for children playing.

Pets: We are very pet friendly and we are happy to have your furry friends.  We ask that you keep them leashed at all times and please make sure their barking does not disturb other campers.  We have a Kamp K9 for their enjoyment.

Campfires are allowed as long as weather conditions permit.  Fires must be put out before retiring at night. 

No fireworks are allowed at any time.

Fishing Pier:  Please call SCDNR at 1-866-714-3611 to obtain a freshwater fishing permit number.  NO jumping or diving from fishing pier.

Boats: Boats are NOT allowed on sites and must be parked in a designated area.

Trash Pickup:  Leave trash in bag provided at check in at the front of your site for morning pick up.

Inappropriate behavior or detrimental conduct, as determined by management, will result in an early, non-refundable departure.

Need assistance?  LOOK FOR A YELLOW SHIRT.  Anyone wearing a yellow shirt with the KOA logo will be happy to assist you in any way!

Coffee

We now have coffee for sale in our store.  Please visit the store during open hours to purchase a cup of coffee.

I take great pride in managing this recently converted KOA Campground and look forward to welcoming campers looking for a beautiful destination to spend one night or an entire week. We have a fantastic staff and look forward to welcoming you to our location on the shores of Lake Marion.
