The only comment I will make is the sites are not very level, and for the cost for an RV site I expected a level surface. This was the most expensive KOA camping site we stayed at on our three week trip, but yet the most uneven of them all.

This location is a beautiful property the sites are large there’s lots of trees and the lake is beautiful. Like any lakefront property it requires a lot of maintenance. We had a delightful stay and will stay again if in the area

Stopped in as a midway point between Jacksonville, Florida and Wilmington. NC. Nice place just off I-95N on the Santee-Cooper Lake. Gas and diesel at the exit. Loved the water and tall pines...

Very nice, very quiet. Staff observed covid 19 precautions, which we appreciated. Loved that we could walk on the little beach with our dogs!

We stayed on site H1 and it was spectacular. The look over Lake Marion, sunrises and sunsets were worth picture taking. The pier is neat going out into the lake with seating to enjoy the atmosphere. Staff was friendly, park clean and quiet.

We made a reservation and asked for a shady sight. We got there and were shown to a poorly maintained site in the sun behind the restroom. We refused the sight and were given a different sight,but grudgingly. We heard the woman on the radio not to be bothered with us because we were just there for one night. The roads were in pot repair and the campground was90% empty. The location on lake

We stayed here in May and then again in August. The people are very accommodating in May an hour before we checked in we had a blowout on our RV an when we got there we asked if they knew where we could get a new tire at the front desk they didn’t but they located a man who lives there and he told us where there was a tire shop. We called and got an appointment with them the next day.

nice campground, we were only there one day, but well kept campground and friendly staff didn't get to enjoy all had they had to offer due to thunder storms most of the evening ( not a fault of the campground ) and there was a great restaurant right next door, in walking distance

Love the place, Just wished at the grass was cut at our lot which we could deal with no biggie. But the part that we did not like was all the ants that was where we was at. Need to spray for ants, cause they got all inside the camper which we are still trying to get them out of. But beautiful place plenty shade. We will be back

Check in took over 20 minutes due to staff outside on their smoke break. Some things need updated. Staff seemed unhappy to be there. Amenities were good. Nice sites.

Friendly staff. Bathhouse clean enough. 2 swimming options: pool and lake. Next door to a great restaurant (easily walkable).

We have been staying at this location over the past year. Remodeling still isn’t done. The staff used to be so nice and friendly, now not so much. This place really seems to be going downhill fast. This location is on a lake and we love to fish, but there isn’t even a fish cleaning station available. I have one more stay scheduled here, if it doesn’t get better, it will be my last stay.

My first experience at this location was great so I decided to go back a month later, but this time it was different. The site was on a slope, the electric panel was broken and chard. Over all it was not an experience i was hoping.

Nice park, waterfront area is very nice, pizza shop is awesome, they do have a ant problem. They are aware and are trying to remedy it. I would still go there again but I now carry ant spray and spray around the camper first,they are the tiny ones that don't hurt anything but are annoying

Easy check in and very nice staff. Pizza delivery to the site is a nice touch. Negatives: the 30 amp power supply should be able to handle all power needs of a small 20 foot trailer, however my circuit breaker was going off every time I had A/C and a microwave on at the same time. I had to shut off my A/C to be able to warm my food up. I never had this problem in any campsites I used in the past

Loved the employees. Very helpful and pleasant. The only complaint is that the pool was dirty with leaves and bugs The ant situation is horrible. I’m not talking a few ants there were hundreds in our unit! A very helpful employee gave us ant spray and we were able to get rid of most of them.

Not worth the money. Restrooms need renovation. Swimming pool was not clean. The campground was infested with ants. Junkyard for old unused RV's. Campground employees were rude and was obvious they did not like providing customer service. Horrible!

We only stayed overnight. We swam in the lake. The bathrooms left a little to be desired. Sites on the lake were pretty. Beautiful sunset.

The camp ground staff were awesome, however the insects were a huge issue( may flies, black ants, and red ants) all over the place which made it uncomfortable at times.

The people were great! The facilities were adequate and clean. Being from Florida, we do not enjoy camping with a ton of bugs and humidity. This is not the place to stop if you are like us. However, it was an ideal location on the drive. Next trip we will likely drive a little further on the initial leg of our journey to escape the beasts of nature.

Liked CG & would visit again. Reason for 4 stars-sites are a little close to one another for us but had no trouble parking (pull-thru). Did not visit restrooms so can't say. NO old campers so must have been removed (previous review)-new owners renovating. CG quiet, clean and well kept. WIFI not great anywhere in entire area-not just CG. Great stop over for traveling I-95.

The campground has very pretty scenery and nice staff but that’s about it. The mayflies ruined the weekend which I know they have no control over but there was nothing for the kids to do. The pool was small and crowded. The playground was covered in bugs. The bathhouse was clean but very dated. No activities for the kids. People need to be warned about the mayflies before they book in the summer

Only stayed one night, but we will be back to stay a few days longer to see the sites. The park is lovely. Other campers were very friendly. The staff was extremely helpful and very informative. We checked in late and they were right there to show us to our site and make sure we had everything we needed to get hooked up and settled in. Thank you, Al Everley from Florida Al Everley

Site was literally infested with ants. And I don’t mean a normal amount. There were mounds and swarms everywhere you stepped. Mayflies we’re awfully thick. Was hard to sit outside. Was told they’d be gone in a day. Not! Our site was level. Most however we’re not. Barely could accommodate a 45 ft class A. We’ve accumulated over 50k rewards points. This KOA ranks near the bottom. Santee Lakes KOA has become our "go-to" stop between VA and FL. Our third stay here. We were concerned about how tight the site appeared for our 40' towing a car, so the gentleman who escorted us went and got a traffic cone to protect our front bumper/mirror. All went well, and we were able to get out clean the next morning as well. We love having all that shade after the heat of FL.

We had rain but didn’t cause us any problems no flooding. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Santee and every stay has been first class from check in to out the service is outstanding. We will be back

We had the best seat in the house! Our site was H1 which is lake side. Very nice folks and well kept campground.
