Great location right next to the causeway, sites are great with full hookups including sewer right at each pad, and staff was everywhere and very friendly. Loved it.

Nice park and super good staff. See you next year!

Disappointed that the pool was not available during our 5 day visit.

We love our stay. Only things bad was that the pier burnt down in February and every said it was the best restaurant and the beach is a long walk from the campground. Other than that the camp ground was very nice.

The park is nice but when I booked our stay (2 rv sites) I specifically chose 2 sites that were close to the pool and the restaurant/bar. Was not told until we showed up to check in (after a very long drive) that both were closed. Extremely disappointed!!

I had to complain about noise after quiet hours. They closed the pool after I got there with no warning email prior to my arrival. The advertised restaurant had burned down but no one informed us before we got there.

Everything was excellent. The shower house needs ventilation! Even when it is not in use it is a steam bath.

the employees were so friendly and helpful....campground in the best shape since we began staying 8 years ago...not happy with some of the new admin policy's regarding long term stays....

Excellent as usual. Can’t wait to see all the changes with the new offices, commons etc. so sorry to have lost Pier 19. Enjoy your summer. See you next year.

Although this park is congested and tightly packed, it is well maintained and our site was level. We enjoyed our stay and would stay at this park again.

Loved our stay! It was our first real trip with our Airstream and we really appreciated our time at KOA South Padre. The text communication made it easy to keep up to date and the staff there was very friendly.

Were not told during booking call that the restaurant burned down, the pool would be closed for re-plastering during our stay. The wifi could never be accessed, and other guests complained, and the cable channels were all fuzzy due to weak signal. Someone was sent to fix and got channels on his notebook at the hookup so said it was our problem. It worked fine before and after this stay.

We were pretty dissapointed. None of the amenities listed were available. No pool it's broken, no hot tub it's broken, the restaurant is gone, the pier is gone, wifi doesnt work. Booked a year aheaand drove 1800 miles. Weather was fabulous as is the island. Stay next door at Isla Blanka Park imo. Had we known nothing would be available at the campground we would have moved to another campground.

Helpful staff, even after hours. Well kept facilities, though laundry room could be better. While there are a decent number of washers and dryer’s, there is only room for one person at a time. Did not visit rest rooms or exercise room.

Location was great. High winds and cool cloudy weather(arrival day) not so great. Grounds were clean, trash pick-up was convenient. Pool was closed for renovations. Showers & restrooms clean and laundry rooms convenient. Loved seeing all the fur babies. Very friendly staff. We had the best nextdoor neighbors from Indiana. We will be back!

. So glad to see all of the updating going on! The golf carts need to slow down or there could be an accident with a child on a scooter. Its hard for the walkers to hear the golf carts especially when the wind is blowing. All in all it was a good stay. I do hope Pier 19 can be rebuilt. We’ve enjoyed our stays for the past 7 years!

Great to camp. It was a tight fit, and no fire pits, but we had fun. Concert noise was painful, but not the fault of the park.

Very nice KOA. We’ll run and very clean!

Great stay but 1) shower water pressure not great and it was hard to get adequate hot water even at night when minimal use/demand for hot water. 2) For a campground your size and how tight the parking spots are I think you really should be staying open after 5 PM to assist/support new arrivals. Most campgrounds have staff at least until 7 PM, I was very surprised with the firm 5 PM office closure

Enjoyed our time there. Great location. Friendly staff. Grounds and amenities in need of updating. Gym is super hot and outdated equipment. Cabins seem expensive for the value of what you get.

Very nice campground, walking distance to the beach and a nice restaurant. Clean facilities . We camped in a tent and had a little covered patio. Swimming pool is currently under repair.

Loved our spot, 125. However the WiFi never did work, and the pool and hot tub were just closed for a month for remodeling. Not really a big deal as it was prior to pool weather but it was annoying there was no notice of that in the website when we booked.

This is my 7th year staying as a Winter Texan and there we’re a few new regulations to the park, which the staff was very helpful informing us, in a conscientious manner This year I had family come down 3 different times to the park and they rented your Cottages, which is so great, that we are all in the same place I have my $ down for 2023, looking forward to next year & your improvements

KOA offered little other than RV parking and use of a dirty pool. Staff was unfriendly for the most part. An Issue was presented, I was informed I was over-reacting. Next year we hope QUALITY to be what we’ve experienced in past years.

We enjoyed our stay at SPI, our site was changed, but we liked our new spot. We have reserved a spot for next Feb and asked for a specific spot, so we are hopeful for that. We enjoyed some of the activities that they had going on at the park. The pool is always nice to go to. We were sad about Pier 19 burning, we will miss that.

Bathrooms were very clean. Staff was very, very friendly and helpful.

The facilities are clean and the people so friendly. If you could trim back a little off the top of the bushes by the cove it would be amazing to open up the view a little bit more

Great time, Will stay here again soon

Our staff was good. However we were so looking forward to Pier19. It was part of what motivated us to come. Can't help that it burned down but needs to be rebuilt. Staff was great however we can renew only what we have fir a time frame. Weekly and monthly rates are gone apparently to anyone new. Can't change our site number or adjust time. That all seems very odd to me. We are coming back.

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
