We had a great time! All the staff was friendly and helpful. The condo was perfect for our family of five. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit SPI.

We have been there all summer and truly enjoyed the convenience of the laundromat, s’mores night and the clean grounds and friendly atmosphere. The staff is very helpful, friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Thank you �

Overall stay was amazing with good amenities. Biggest issues were the spaces are very close together and parking is tight - if you drive a large vehicle it's a tight fit - and there is no visitor parking - they were forced to park outside the park across street -

The sites width are very small and the pull thoughts are not angled properly. Picnic tables are on top of the neighbors’ utilities, including the sewer. I felt cramped and uncomfortable all week. I will never use this KOA again.

Nice place very convenient to everything on the island. The RV spots are very small and hard to get a 45' motorhome in and out of and the pool leaves something to be desired. We weren't interested in the pool anyway so no big deal to us but if we had grandkids with us might not of been happy.

Guest services were wonderful. Originally we had a spot with no shade and they allowed us to move over one spot where there was a wonderful shade tree. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Thanks for the perfect weekend!

We enjoyed staying at this location. It is easy to get to other places on the island. Only downside is that the internet was very weak.

Love the location on spi. Site was ok but our cable TV never worked. Wifi at this site was very poor. Signal kept dropping. Pool and surrounding area is very dated. It's not inviting. Pier 19 restaurant has too many bad reviews.

Never got hot water in kitchen or bathroom sinks. Told front desk and was pretty much blown off. Never had anyone check it out. Hating washing dishes in cold water. But maybe the next guest get better wayer.

The location is very comfortable and has a restaurant and pier within it. We were very happy with our stay and with our entire experience. We will be back soon!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Over all the KOA was well organized & a good experience. Our cabin had mold in bathroom (#4) and cabin 1 doors were extremely difficult to use.

It was amazing, the condo met all our expectations, very cute and organized. The only thing was the dryer was not working. Had to run the cycle 3 time to dry 10 articles of clothing but other than that very very nice!!!

So glad we decided to stay at KOA on south padre. The campground is super convenient and and very well kept. The shower and laundry facilities were very clean and really nice. Kids enjoyed the pool most days before and after the beach. Attendants were helpful and front desk was courteous and prompt. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Really enjoyed our stay!!!

The cabin was so cute and clean. The view was gorgeous. We spent so much time sitting on the porch watching the waves, birds, fish, and stars. Everything is provided for you, from towels, conditioner, and body wash to utensils, glasses, mugs, and BBQ tools! The AC worked fantastic.

Didn’t like that we were constantly harassed with the wristband situation. It would be great if there was a shade over the pool. Other than that, it was good.

Great atmosphere and nice people. There were some campers getting rowdy one night but they were asked to leave promptly as the rules state.

Office personnel were super nice. Everything was very clean. Nice pool and laundry facility. My biggest complaint is the cramped rv spaces. Wow do they pack them in. No place to take a pretty walk... too far from the beach to walk. And the dumpsters are too close to the cabins and the pool. The smell was overpowering.

Office staff was very rude. It was crowded; not enough space to park extra vehicle and KOA staff wasn’t willing to work with customers about parking. This KOA isn’t run like it was before. Staff not very friendly. Very unhappy with KOA at South Padre Island, Texas

We live on SPI, but the girls were having a "Girls Weekend", so we had a "Guys Weekend" in our RV. Check-in was quick and easy. Our ONLY complaint is that the Wifi Internet service was SLOW and connectivity was POOR. As I occasionally work from "home" this was an issue - my mobile service was faster!

Staff was excellent but park is way too crowded. I had walk through peoples camp sites between tables and what not to get to power hookup and cable hook up feels cramped you want sort of a open feel when camping/Rving.. also WiFi did not work well…

called in to get pass code for internet and knowing that I needed a passcode to get on it, they failed to give it to me the username. It was not right they did not provide the right info to get internet. I think they only give the info to white people. next morning I woke up and asked my neighbors if they internet and they said yes.They were given username and passcode. I left.

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
