The smell was absolutely horrible. Not only from the bay, but the dumpster that is apparently shared with the seafood restaurant was literally right behind the cabins. So you have the stink from the bay on one side & the rotten dumpster on the other side. The cabins were dirty. The light fixtures kept flickering. Outlets were caved in & broken. Just VERY rundown

We really enjoyed our stay!! Thank you so much! The only thing we were concerned about was the tile in the bathroom was coming up. That’s the only thing I would recommend fixing. Thanks again!

Nice location, our spot was very nice just a bit tight. Neighbors very close. Really liked the paver patio and table and chairs. Pool and hot tub were very good, facilities were very clean.

The KOA is very clean and the staff was friendly. We do a lot of fishing, so this KOA is not for surf fisherman. What reeled me in was the pier on site. Wait…. You can’t fish the pier. Everywhere you go in South Padre Island cost you, anyone that has been to Corpus Christi or surrounding area be aware. You can only drive on the beach in one area and it’s on the opposite side of the island. B

The aircon can not make the small room colder. Even at the double bed room, it does not get cold even at night time...

The staff was very friendly and helpful and they made sure when concerts we’re playing on the island, that “extra people” did not come into the KOA. There was a nice feeling of family security and friendliness.

Campground location is excellent. Bathrooms and showers were dirty and poorly maintained. Same clump of hair on wall for days, broken urinal for 10+ days. Dumpster overflowing and very smelly during entire 10 night stay. Staff was not friendly- they would wave and smile but would act bothered if you attempted conversation. Office open 9-5 - staff was typically out door by 4:58 if not sooner

We have been going to the KOA for about 8 years now. For the 1st time, in that many years, we felt important, Safe and appreciated. This summer the KOA has undergone several staffing changes and in my opinion, for the better. I would like to thank Miss Ann for being so attentive and sweet to our children. She treated them as her own. We're anxious to see how this KOA will evolve, for the better.

The porch and views are great. The sleeper sofa mattress was dry rotted and was just springs! Cabin needs storage. 3-drawer chest X 2 would be so helpful to put your stuff in. There is no where to put your belongs except on the floor. Water hose outside to wash off beach items. Trash dumpsters were so full-flies were everywhere and no way to keep them from coming inside. Mold in shower area.

We always enjoyed our stay with you all. I was very satisfied with everything except we could not get good WFI was not able to receive calls or text messages and when we received our text messages we received them like 2 or 3 hours later or never got them. You need to check on your WFI other wise everything was good we will be coming back again Hopefuly the WFI will be better.

We had lost of energy for two days in a row and no one could provide us with a update. In addition, as you drove into the park there is a bad smell of sewage and when we flushed it smelled really bad and that's because he had a brand new trailer.

Good clean site. View was great. Workers were pleasant and helpful. We got the site with patio so that we could cook burgers for 10 people before a wedding we were all here for. Went to tell manager and they wanted to charge $100.00 for them to be at the site for 2 hours. Thought that excessive to say the least. For that reason we will find other places next time.

Swimming pool needs better cleaning maintenance and their sewer lift station also needs better/durable equipment in order to stop smelly over flows at RV sites.

We were put in the lot across the street from your site. Bad view, no shade, the street noise from all the cars going to the restaurant was awful. It took three of us to stand out in the street to stop cars so we could back up to get out. No security at your park. Very disappointed as were the people who were beside us.

Clean campground and easy to get in and out of with our 44ft 5er. The back in site we had was a little tight but evidently all pull thru sites were taken. Be aware that the utilities at the back in sites are at rear of site, so make sure you have plenty of electric cord and water hose if you have a 5er w connections at front of trailer. Could be 5 star except for poor wifi service.

Family and I have been staying at your KOA for15 years. We have been going once twice a month now. The one thing I least look forward to is checking in. Most times, especially this saturday 07/31, the people behind the ck-in desk make no effort to make you feel welcome. It feels more like you're bothering them. Its 1st point of contact with your paying guests.

i love my stays at the koa!! staff is super friendly. this time i did have some issues with a rude neighbor who was complaining of parking while i was parked in my space with my parking passes. so much so that several of the other guests did come to our defensive. perhaps better outlined parking.

Our cabin was a nightmare!! It was FILLED with CIGARETTE SMOKE!!! We arrived late Monday pm & Bruce was very nice, he tried to get us into another cabin, he told the lady in charge, she gave us a can of spray & said the crew would be there the next morning and NO ONE EVER SHOWED or checked on us!! The amount of light shining in @ pm was stupid, & the cabin was �� We won't ever stay in your cabin

Campground was clean. The staff was dedicated to doing their job . The pool was large and clean and the Campground has beautiful views.

RV spots were too cramped, there was not enough space to comfortably park the rv. There was no area for fishing at the campground. We had to drive to the state park down the street. Sewer hookup is located right in front of your RV spot so the smell was gross. Upon arrival we were told trash pick up was only from 8-2 pm, when most of us are gone.

We vacationed there with both our daughters and their families. The air conditioning stopped working in one cabin for a day and management refunded all 3 days in May that unit! Great customer service!

KOA has a lot to offer. Example kid activities, pet park, restaurant, Washeteria, pool, gym and showers. Love it.

Super easy check in. No late night noise problems. Really clean park. Really liked the large pool and good size hot tub. Definitely recommend for a family stay or a couple.

Campers were packed in like sardines in a can! Very uncomfortable for real camping.Would have been nice to space them out in light of Pandemic. Yet even with 200 campers it was quite and clean. Did not use the pool or any other of the facilities. Dog areas are good for pets, even had dog poo bags, scoopers, and trash cans. Just too crowded for this country family, would not stay there next time.

Absolutely loved the SPI KOA! It was our first time at an RV park with the kids and the KOA was a perfect fit! Location was great and site had shade from trees. Amenities were all great condition and staff was extremely friendly as well as helpful. We will be back!

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
