We honestly didn't do much within the park, but the cabins were nice and well equipped. It is located in a great part of the island and it's easy to get to. They were comfortable for my family of 4.

I rated it a 4 star because of the location of our site. The site we had did not allow for any breeze to flow which made it very hot. Other than that it is a very nice KOA. Clean restrooms and bathhouse as well as the swimming pool.

Park is very nice and the staff gives a lot of attention to keeping the facilities well maintained. However, the WiFi struggles being almost non-existent on busy weekends. Technology is playing an ever more important role in our world and KOA parks are falling behind. They need to make a significant investment in upgrading their wireless capabilities. Therefore, 4 stars awarded.

Everything was super clean, restrooms and camp grounds! Except for pool… it was murky and greenish, it needed immediate attention.

Everything was very clean great stay over all. The only suggestion I would have would be to replace AC unit in the common area the loft and the twin set room because it got pretty hot in the afternoon.

Super friendly and very helpful. I called and didn’t have reservation. The clerk was so nice and took the time to find a site. Loved the guy directing my husband into the back in site! Definitely recommend

Enjoyed our stay at the KOA in South Padre Island up until our last night. Neighbors across from us were partying until 1:30am. Playing music driving their bright go carts up and down the street. Would be great if there was a side walk to use to walk to the bus stop.

Really enjoyed our stay, all the KOA personnel were very helpful and courteous. In particular Tammy at the front desk made it a very easy and enjoyable experience. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

Great staff just hated the environment, we had to get a bug net to keep the roaches away from our dog. We sealed up the tent because roaches were all over our tent, our tent is mounted to our truck. The mice that came out as well were horrible. We had to be done cooking and packed up by 10 to avoid the roaches. Spent one night there and decided to camp on the beach instead. Waste of money.

Everything was great! The only thing was the pool looked really green and cloudy and it had a lot of debris floating around edge of pool. We did not get in it ..it was really full of people.

We love this place. I had sewer issues and the team member was there in minutes. The problem was that I hooked up my sewer hose wrong. He walked me thru the process and never talked down to me. I learned the correct way and the problem was solved. The entire team is awesome. See y’all again next year.

Originally we had campsite 151 but because we did not pay an extra fee we ended up with the smallest site at the campground. Very tight sites to even let the awning out. I took two showers and both times there was no hot water. I am a big guy but I did take showers in our RV.

The cabin had 3 ac units that ran constantly but the only room that felt cool was the bedroom with the full bed, the rest of the cabin felt warm and the room with the bunk beds and restroom were hot. The exhaust fan in the restroom did not work and only one light in there worked which indicates neglect. The top of fridge and higher shelf was dusty and dirty. The swimming pool was dirty. VERY POOR

KOA South Padre Island Campground is great. My family had a great time. Facilities are clean, spacious rv areas, just perfect for a vacation.

It was incredible and we will be back! We especially appreciated the friendly and professional attitudes that each staff member had. Our waterfront cabin was perfect for our family and especially enjoyed the evenings sitting on our private patio near the water.

First off, I had asked for an 8 person house and got a 4 person one.. So we ended up spending over $1000 to be able to stay in two places when we were all supposed to stay together..

Super Clean, however kids area had thorns all around, slide landing had hard rock underneath so scrapped knees made it hard to enjoy. the gentleman park police was very rude when we were at the pool. We had our bracelets on top of the bag but made it known that they needed to be on or get out! A lady with MS was watching her son swim, he kicked her out becuz no bracelet Poor lady could barely walk

Everyone was very friendly and helpful as we were getting settled in. We loved the close access to the beach, ate several times at Pier 19 and took our dogs to the doggie park. The pool was not great / seemed very cloudy and it was very warm / not refreshing at all. But it was very hot outside so that is understandable. We already booked for next year!!

One of yelled at my son and then me just because he didn’t have his bracelet on.we showed him we had the bracelet,unfortunately he got caught on something at the beach but he said he didn’t care!! Wifi super slow speeds, but stable connection. Loved our corner lot, I don't think it would have been as great in any other lot. It was the first one when you enter the camp, so we had no neighbors on our camp side, which meant no sewer line!

Pool was not clean Pier 19 was closed, all info including the billboard in front does not show this to be closed. This is the main reason we chose to stay there.

Super clean bathrooms/ Showers. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Wish there was a actual pier that we could fish off off. You cant fish off of Pier 19, you can do wade fishing but I was expecting a actual pier. But over all super nice place and staff.

We enjoyed the view of the bay. We appreciated having a kitchen and refrigerator during our stay. The shower was fully equipped with everything you need. However, the bed and the sofa need to be updated. The bed was not comfortable. It seemed too old. The sofa was a pleather type material that seemed to be old and pealing and was not welcoming to sit on.

I stayed for 4 nights and had no issues, the staff that I dealt with were all great. Spots are. Tight, but you’re on a island.

I was a guest in one of your condos. Parking was chaotic! Even though the spaces are clearly marked. We couldn't go anywhere because as soon as I moved my vehicle the spot was taken. People use these spits when they come to the pool. Wrist bands were never checked in the pool as before. I've always had nothing but good comments about my stay with yall. This time I cannot.

We had a great time and were very comfortable. We will definitely be staying again. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. The restrooms are very clean and perfect for guests to use while visiting.

They have no grass, or very little grass for fur babies to walk around & take care of their business, the have chucks of rock at every site and I'm not talking pea gravel, but chucks, it was a miserable stay for our babies, the pavement & rocks were hot, rocks were hard for them to walk on, needless to say we could only walk them early in the morning, or at night.

We absolutely loved our stay! Campsites were great and very quiet, kids loved the pool, having a dog park area was perfect and the location couldn’t have been better! And everyone staying there was very friendly! We will definitely be back!

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
