Our cabin was great, though we think you guys need to update the fixtures and add new toilets in the cabins, but other than that we had a fun time and we may come back.

The campground was in a great location. The security was lacking in monitoring guests coming into the property. The cabin we stayed in was far from the WiFi output and we were unable to connect for the entire visit. We were expecting to connect since WiFi was in the advertisement as a selling point!! The property management did a great job on check in and check out and were very friendly- thanks

The staff is very friendly, and it is super close to the beach, but the place is really, really run down. We stayed in an 8 person cabin and it was fairly clean. The towels and utensils were good, but our feet were black from the dirty floors and the shower only sprayed one hard stream- either boiling hot or really cold. The rusty AC units made horrible noises! The playground area was a JOKE too.

We stayed in one of the cabin's and it was wonderful. It was great to sit on the Patio and watch the boats go by and at night the water looked so tranquil, it was a perfect setting before retiring to bed.

I feel like quality has declined over the years. The check-in lady was unpleasant and the playground was full of weeds, broken plastic and sticker plants. Other than those things we love the location and the island feel of the park.

Located on the southern end of the bay side of the island, this KOA is in an easy to get in and out location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sites are a little close and some things could use a little updating but it is a great way to experience the island with an RV, especially compared to some of the other RV options on the island.

Loved our campsite and the staff is very nice! The employees really take pride of the campgrounds and keep it really clean. Will definitely be back!

Pool was nice. Spots are extremely close together. We had to walk over our neighbor’s sewer hookup.

Office staff took care of all our needs. You have to remember this is right on the bay and you know what salt water does, overall very well kept. Great pool and park well maintained.

All great as usual. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only change I would make is the way the wristbands for the pool are done. Kids lose them and then they are 10 to replace each. When we are there for a period of time then they will get lost and need replaced.

We stayed in Regal Site 110. It was level, easy to get in and out of and the view good. Outdoor table for 4 and comfy Adirondack chairs with table on deck for the two of us. WI-FI POWERFUL! The park has many amenities which we only used the fishing boat and restaurant on site. It was perfect for our short 2 night stay.

The camping spaces were too tight. We could hear the conversations and TVs in the campers of our neighbors. Also, there was inadequate parking space for even one vehicle. Everything was tight. That also includes the showers which were very small. We have stayed in many KOAs and this was the most uncomfortable.

Very nice place to stay. Close to beach, restaurants and shopping. We can see the fireworks from our campsite!! Definitely recommend stay!

1. The internet didn't work. 2. We left hanging clothes in our room and called the office. Cleaning staff said there were no clothes left in room. LIE!! 3. We got charged an additional $175 as office staff said we had moved from #21 to #6 and the $175 was the additional cost. Another LIE!! Finally, got that lie corrected and got a refund. Not a good experience at all.

We enjoyed our stay at the KOA in SPI. We arrived late and found our information packet on the board at the entry. The packet contained all the information we needed to find our site and set up camp. The sites were clearly marked and well lit. We had an issue with the electricity. The ladies in the office dispatched one of the maintenance men to help. Don had an amazing smile and was very helpful!

The park has not been maintained. They overcrowd sites with no noise control after 10. Bad excuses why gym could not open. Some employees had bad attitudes and were not friendly or helpful.

Weeds in our site were taller than me. Pool was green most of the time. Gym closed the whole time we were there. Park really going down hill. There was no escort to our site. Not happy at all. Looking for somewhere else to stay when we are in the area.

It is difficult to get a large camper around all the shrubs and palm trees at end of lot. Canopy and slides are into branches. Lots of noise from carts, radios and loud trucks.

We had a blast. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Facilities were very clean and the pool was awesome. Very close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The only negative was that the sites were very close to each other.

Another great stay this past Memorial holiday. I really wish this park would lose the gravel rock sights. Its not comfortable to walk on when your out and about and even the small pets have issues with this surface. This location is still a favorite for my family.

Cabin was clean. Bed was very uncomfortable and commode is low/child size. There was very poor wifi and no phone service or internet 90% of our stay. There was no ice to purchase. They were out. Several inconveniences. This was our first stay at a KOA.

We had an electrical issue which persisted through two of our nights. We reported it as soon as we learned about it on Friday evening. It was not addressed until mid-day on Sunday, which was our last day on site. We were also told that we needed to be present for the repair after we were originally told that we did not need to be present. We were offered no compensation for our troubles.

We had 1 A/C unit out of the 3 available working. The maintenance personnel suggested we all sleep in the sm 8x8 open area downstairs to stay cool. We felt offended. Management Laura was the only one willing to help. The environment is great this was not our 1st time here and hopefully not our last.

Music from nearby venues went till 2am. Our motorhome sustained a major blow that dented the corner. With no security no way to see what happened exactly.

It was a little scary due to the fact that I arrived after check in hours and to fine a rv in my spot. Had to call the emergency number for assistance on the site and a lady arrived and assisted me with obtaining a spot next to the original assigned spot. So, in the end everything worked out and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks

Very loud weekend, the parking sites don't have a lot of room between trying to pack in campers there was only 8ft from my front door to the next camper over. Very tight to say the least. Very hard to have a family social with friend the feeling of being squeezed in.

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
