It is a clean park. Spaces are pretty tight. I have a 43 ft fifth wheel and was put in a spot that was about 48 ft. long. No place to really park my truck after unhooking. Personnel were very friendly. Had an unexpected overnight guest one night and received an early morning text about an unregistered vehicle that would be towed at owners expense rather than a simple asking about the vehicle.

Our studio cabin, K23, was totally disappointing. Hair dryer barely warmed up. The a/c unit did a poor job of cooling even the small cabin. It was obvious that a larger a/c unit had been replaced with a smaller one which did not cool the cabin. We stayed in the same cabin in April, 2021 and had no problems at all. The KOA overall was okay but at least one other cabin also had a smaller a/c unit.

Bad weather limited our activites, but liked the clean bathrooms and campground. Very nice staff. Would recommend and come again.

The website is extremely difficult to use with no support. We agreed to move 3times to be able to stay for a week. However the charges for cancellation for a site that we were actually occupying was not appreciated. The staff is nice but their hands are tied in terms of helping with reservations made on line. The website is definitely a negative.

We were assigned a “premier” site and it there was nothing premier about it. We felt like we weren’t even in the so called resort. We were just outside the fence as you enter the resort overlooking a smelly lagoon. No palm trees or other vegetation.

Beautiful, well kept property. Only complaint was that the WiFi was out in my site, #86 during my 9 day stay. The staff was very helpful. Kudos to the front desk staff and to Laura for explain a billing issue to me.

Great RV park. They have different types of spots. The cheaper ones are a little closer together and the higher price spots do have more room. We stayed in the higher priced ones on the water and would recommend them. Staff was great. Grounds were clean and the interior roads were well kept. Pool, bathrooms and laundry facilities were kept clean. We would stay at this park again.

I was told several times the problem with my cable reception was in my coach. I even bought a new cable which didn’t make any difference. I am now sitting in the KOA in San Antonio and have a beautiful picture. We were in lot 76 and I still say there is a problem with that cable even though he brought up a clear picture on his tv. I never had an issue with my TV while traveling. Brenda Ferkel

We loved the beauty and convenience of SPI KOA. We were close to things we needed. Out site had a lovely view of the bay.

The living room television did not turn on. The air condition thermostat was not working and it was freezing. The water in the tub did not drain. Will not be renting anytime soon.

We only had one issue: Our site 114 had a loose/wiggly electricity receptacle. Our power kept shutting off during our stay no less than 7 times. If that issue could be repaired it would make our stay a 5 star stay next time.

WiFi was not working and the pool had excessive amounts of chlorine and jacuzzi was dirty. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and the campground was clean. Will definitely return.

The rates are to high, and every time you would call to get a slot they will always tell you it was not available but when you are there the slot you want it was available and internet (WIFI) was not working

Very enjoyable. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed our site located near the water and also near shopping and restaurants. Service at check in was friendly and efficient and the park was kept clean. WiFi was adequate for email and internet browsing and we appreciated the full hookups on the site. We also enjoyed the pool. We did not use the restroom or laundry facilities so we can't comment.

It’s a great location and they have a very nice pool. Sites are close and it would be nice to have someone lead you to your site upon check in. Power was off for about 9 hours without any communication. Info is always appreciated! Your location gets premium prices so I expect premium customer service in return!

Condo C was a good size for the 5 of us that stayed there It had two baths that was great and kitchenette was functional. The only one complaint that I had was the two sofa sleepers. The mattresses were really worn so we had to bare the pain of feeling the coils and metal cross bars on our backs. I suggest new mattresses on those would help or adding mattress toppers for them.

We were delighted to find this KOA on the Tip of South padre island. It was spectacularly clean and very well-managed. We had a camper right next to a delightful and cozy lodge. Everything at this campsite including personnel was over and above our expectations. If you’re coming to South Texas don’t overlook this KOA Dash it’s the best one I’ve ever been able to recommend. Sites are very tight due to bushes that should be removed. Older staff members are grumpy and not helpful. Two nights in a row I saw vans pull up at the back of the building and over 15 people go to the pool to swim. They didn’t speak English and weren’t staying there, but new the gate code. I refused to use the pool because they were essentially bathing in it. Loved the view though.

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
