Outstanding, Staff was excellent during checking in and as well with all staff members attending to everything outside. Very clean KOA. Everyone at the park were especially nice. Can not wait for our next trip back!!!! Del Rio

It was great! Stayed in a Bayside cabin. It was very clean and roomy. The activities were great and the kids loved the play area and the pool. The staff there is very nice and helpful.

Hoping next year the pool redo will be done because it was one of the highlights of are stay.The staff was excellent & Helpful . The facility was very clean. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed six days and the one thing that stood out and was the worst we ever experienced was the constant barking of multiple dogs; the campers next to us didn’t even try to keep their dog from CONSTANTLY barking. It was our first time staying there and unfortunately we would never stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. However, the bed in the only bedroom was not big enough for both of us so my husband slept on the pull out couch which was not comfortable. I killed a few bugs while we were there. Wasn’t as clean as I keep my home, but we could make it work for 3 days. We will not stay there again but the park is nice.

Rainy and cold part of the time but when it was nice, outstanding. Requested a reservation for next year: with fingers crossed we'll be back for an extended stay.

Nice. BUT it is over crowded They crammed sites in every inch they could. Says big rig friendly which I guess the actual site is but getting into those sites is difficult with people parked everywhere in the way. And the space between sites so tight.Doesnt help the escort tries to have you back in opposite the angle of the site. Most sites are just gravel no grass. There are better options near

We really like this park; two negatives are that 1. everyone is packed in - most have huge coaches with slide outs, so you are sardined in between. 2. The park workers use a gas cart to get around at ALL hours - it is noisy and disruptive. Please purchase the quiet electric ones and allow your guest some peace and quiet no matter the time. Positives: great staff!! Thank you!

Great waterfront cabin locations! Beds need upgraded & hot water tripping breaker box needs remedying. Daily pooper picker near cabins suggested; got my shoe full of poop. Overall fun experience.

Studio cabin: no kitchen sink, had to use bathroom sink, which was not an appetizing idea to us. Bed had a terrible dip on one side. Probably common issue due to humidity however mildew and buildup on fixtures was gross. Tub floor had bad repair. Told there were dishes for four, only had cups & glasses. Nice location with nice patio. If return would try a larger unit for second chance.

Way too expensive, they couldn’t let us stay longer because of construction. We moved to Isla Blanca park, much cheaper and we can stay longer.

The park is great and the staff and amenities are good. My only complaint is the no fishing signs all over the place. I come to the coast to do some fishing.

Multiple times I have witnessed kids on bikes almost get hit by vehicles and koa staff golf carts. I have watched numerous parents complain to the koa staff multiple years with no fix. This is the only campground I have ever seen have an excessive speed problem and the only campground that I have seen without speed bumps. Speed bumps need to be installed to slow traffic.

Both the site and the overall stay was geat. Front desk gals were very accommodating as the online reservationist had us moving every day and when we stopped in to do a little "grovelling and snivelling" the response was "What took you so long to get here." needless to say we stayed 6 nights. Sites were tight but its all about Location, location location. Will definitely stay again.

Always enjoy our visit, and we'll be back. Weather was not so good, but KOA can't control that. Cabin could use a little maintenance. Wall plug in living area dangerously out from wall, dried blood in freezer, heater not producing heat and rather run-down and dirty overall. Could use a little more instruction with the TV.. Cabin location is perfect which made ship and bird watching fun.

The back in site was nice, it was wider than our first one which was really nice. One of negative things is that at the shower's a couple of the heads sprayed all over (they need to be cleaned). The other thing at the shower's is the hot water is either cold or really hot it's hard to get a warm shower. Otherwise our stay was great. Another awesome thing is Pier 1 on location, so convenient.

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
