We enjoyed our stay at Koa South Padre Island. The campground was well- groomed. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.

It was so amazing room was super clean, cute and it was just perfect. I will probably be staying at KOA instead of hotels from now on.

Loved the park, location and the people. WIFI sucks. The world is moving to streaming for entertainment/movies/sports/TV. The WIFI at the park serves email and limited capacity for browsing. Unfortuneately most RV parks aren’t upgrading their WIFI for their customers wants and needs.

It was nice as unusual. But the cabin we had have a crack in the tub and no stopper to wash the dishes we used but I got them washed. Also to much light come in that cabin from the spot light. But it is a very nice, clean and peaceful place to stay. We will go back and stay there as we have in the past.

Wonderful and helpful staff. Onsite facilities are clean. The shower facilities are in need of updates. Stalls are small, showerheads need to be replaced.

Always great to stay in a cabin. It's more private and you don't hear the next door children crying or the TV full blast like at hotels. Great Stay and AWESOME Staff!!

Perfect ! We saw a Dolphin swimming 5 minutes after we arrived! Very good sign. My wife says the staff were exceptionally positive . We had visitors for breakfast and they actually financed a KOA years back and were exceedingly impressed.

Great place, a little more then we wanted to spend, but is kept up very well. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. Pier 19 the adjacent restaurant is very good.

In a month long trip through Texas we have stayed exclusively in KOAs. The Padre office staff was very nice & helplful but the other outdoor staff were not so friendly. I know Padre is a small area & not many camp grounds, but the in comparison to other KOAs the campspots are sooo tight between units. Having Pier 19 there is a great benefit as the food, drinks & wait staff are excellent!

This park is excellent for RVs but not suitable for tent camping. The pool is awesome! The park is beautiful and well-maintained. The problem is the tent sites are separate, far from bathrooms, and on the entrance to the park and restaurant. Left early as I could not sleep due to the traffic in and out and long walk to bathroom.

Loud music from an adjoining property was awful from 8pm to 11pm on Saturday night. Was a mix up on site location for my trailer that delayed my set up about 30 minutes. Plenty of spaces to choose from but had to wait until one was assigned as a trailer was in the spot that I was originally assigned to.

All was pretty good. I stayed in a cabin and was told that there would be a light housekeeping service on my third day. It didn't happen. Staff were friendly and the unit was clean enough. Probably could use a deep clean in the corners of the bathroom.

Nice clean place the only thing I need to complain about is the showers, they didn't even get hot enough. Besides that it was easy to get in and out of, friendly staff.

Clean, well organized facility. Disappointed this time because the “no pet” loft cabin we rented smelled of dog. They gave us air freshener and discounted the first nights stay. We would come back.

I have been to SPI KOA a number of times and the way I was treated this time will cause me to not return. Your staff acts more like empowered government authorities than customer service focused staff.

The tent spots are in the wrong location, to much traffic there. I personally think the tents should be in the back of the campground, where there is less traffic. But the employees where very courteous and helpful.

I usually enjoy staying at the cabins. But my last stay was not pleasant at all! There was a huge dip/hole/crease in the bed! And our shower leaked and bathroom was not cleaned well at all.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Your KOA camp sites are very nicely kept. We had problems with our water pump in our trailer, so we used your restroom, and shower every day. I have to say that it was very clean everyday. It didn't matter what time we went it was always clean. I was happy to know you had water aerobics for us. Thanks to all of your wonderful staff. Everyone was welcoming.

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
