I stayed in one of the condos inside the retired water tank. I will not return to this spot. The overall noise and slamming of doors is unbearable. I did not sleep well. If I return to this location, I will stay in a cabin. This was my first stay here, thus I gave it a 3 star rating, because I have not stayed in their cabins. But as far as the condo goes, 1 star. I do not recommend it.

i would give it 5 star but the cabin we stayed was not very clean due to covid I think they need to Do a deep cleaning BEFORE another family comes in!

Had a great time. The cabin was perfect for my wife and I. Our cabin was next to the water and we had a great view the water. We even got to see a few dolphins from our patio.

Nothing to stop my toddler leaving the cabin and wandering down to the ocean at 2am. everything sharp and breakable placed in the lowest drawers and cabinets. Could not lock the cabin door with the key so just had to leave it open when we left. Tv's did not work at all. pool was closed on a perfect day and no one in the office to do anything about any of it. Left after 12 hours of our 3 day stay.

To start after check in, nice escort from the management to show us where the cabin was located, at the cabin we were getting bit by gnats or fleas, anyways thru out the trip and mostly around the yellow couch we felt like we were being bitten to often, I found a wasp or hornet nest above patio door, wife said lets go home, SO WE LEFT EARLIER THAN EXPECTED, wasted vacation, not worth the expense.

Was just ok I think the room need update ?? Bathroom door not working very stiff to close no handle !! Also tile in the bathroom floor coming off , good thing didn’t have little one cus would of cut their toes wobbly floor not safe at all !! Could of been nicer ?? Leo Silva

Our cabin smelled like mildew and there was mold at the shower base/floor. The floors were not “clean” when we arrived, there was dirty footprints all over. We were given a hard time about clean towels after our 4th day of using the same ones!! There was a rotten sewer smell in the bathroom and outside. The silverware drawer had what believe to be a mold/mildew all over. Our deck had no stairs

Our second stay and all was great just as before. Ramona at front office very helpful. The lady at front desk with short white hair and very friendly I spoke to quite often and think how lucky KOA is to have her on staff! She is from Ohio and her first name escapes me with ticks me off cuz I wanted to especially recognize her!!!!

Our stay was pleasant. There was a bit of confusion though. We're not sure why you'd schedule maintenance on our A/C compressor while we were staying there. We were scheduled to leave the next day, maybe it could've waited? The worker opened the door to our cabin within 5 seconds of knocking (which is unacceptable in any field of work). Too much to say with not enough characters left. 4 of 5 stars

Was great, only a few things wrong the main TV in the lodge didn't have the correct Remote so we couldn't use it, also few roaches when we arrived inside the couch, and in upstairs sleeping area. Other than that was great experience thank you

the location was beautiful and the campground was very clean. The only thing we have and had an issue with was the cleanliness of the cabin we stayed in KL4. This was a oceanfront cabin the "light house landing". Inside was not cleaned and the floors in all the rooms had sand, dirt and hair on the floor. The water pressure was very very low and made it hard to shower or clean dishes.

Cabin was super nice. A/C kept us cool and it was easy to keep clean. Fit my whole family and luggage easily. Had all of the amenities we could ask for.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the space in the cabin we got was just enough for the 2 of us. Next time we will take our 2 younger children. Our little mini vacay for just the two of us was perfect!! Thank you KOA!!

My friend and I wanted a quick little getaway to relax. We really enjoyed our stay here. The Deluxe cabin was well worth the money. We watched the bay at night time and it just was so peaceful. We were lucky because there was barely anyone at the campground the days we were there. Hope to be back again some day.

We stayed the first 3 days in a tent, it was very hot! I was happy to see that shelters were being constructed as we left. We then stayed in a cabin for 2 nights. It was very convienent! This is our second time to this KOA and hopefully will not be our last.

Never got hot water in kitchen or bathroom sinks. Told front desk and was pretty much blown off. Never had anyone check it out. Hating washing dishes in cold water. But maybe the next guest get better wayer.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Over all the KOA was well organized & a good experience. Our cabin had mold in bathroom (#4) and cabin 1 doors were extremely difficult to use.

It was amazing, the condo met all our expectations, very cute and organized. The only thing was the dryer was not working. Had to run the cycle 3 time to dry 10 articles of clothing but other than that very very nice!!!

The cabin was so cute and clean. The view was gorgeous. We spent so much time sitting on the porch watching the waves, birds, fish, and stars. Everything is provided for you, from towels, conditioner, and body wash to utensils, glasses, mugs, and BBQ tools! The AC worked fantastic.

The smell was absolutely horrible. Not only from the bay, but the dumpster that is apparently shared with the seafood restaurant was literally right behind the cabins. So you have the stink from the bay on one side & the rotten dumpster on the other side. The cabins were dirty. The light fixtures kept flickering. Outlets were caved in & broken. Just VERY rundown

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
