We enjoyed the view of the bay. We appreciated having a kitchen and refrigerator during our stay. The shower was fully equipped with everything you need. However, the bed and the sofa need to be updated. The bed was not comfortable. It seemed too old. The sofa was a pleather type material that seemed to be old and pealing and was not welcoming to sit on.

I was a guest in one of your condos. Parking was chaotic! Even though the spaces are clearly marked. We couldn't go anywhere because as soon as I moved my vehicle the spot was taken. People use these spits when they come to the pool. Wrist bands were never checked in the pool as before. I've always had nothing but good comments about my stay with yall. This time I cannot.

Loved the location! Close to the beach and water park which were high on our to do list. Loved the location of the condos! Close to parking and pool, deck & play area. Only complaints are: not all staff was friendly, dryer in Condo C didn’t dry (vent not even connected to wall or dryer itself) and our email said check in time was 12:00 so we showed up and was rudely told we couldn’t til 3:00.

Cabin looked very old and not well maintained. The restroom door wouldn't lock and the A/C window unit was set to 62 yet it was still hot in cabin so I couldn't sleep well.

I loved the cabin! The only thing was that the fridge took a whole day to cool but other than that it was all great! I love KOA! I have basically stayed in all the different sites they have and they are all wonderful.

There should be a stricter policy on the amount of people per cabin. Also quiet time at 10pm apparently means absolutely nothing and I couldn’t get any assistance with that at night. Apparently there was an after hours number that I was not made aware of until I finally got a response on my noise complaint the next day. The pool was very cloudy and full of dead bugs.

Our cabin Kl7 was clean especially bedding & towels. Starting to show signs of aging to the inside structure. Maybe just needs fresh paint....? Our grill had rusted broken legs & was unusable so we just used my sister's in cabin KL6. All easy fixes! Enjoyed our stay! Loved the curbside trash pickup! Landscape was clean! The cabins were great and location perfect, only reason they didn't get 5 stars is they are definitely in need some maintenance. Several pieces of railing were broken and deck was warped to where you had to be careful where you stepped. The intake for the ac was FULL of lint and hair, I don't know how it was running properly. Other than that, was a nice stay.

The maintenance and office staff were great. Our breaker panel had a breaker burn up on our first night. They fixed it in a prompt manner and comped us a night for our first night issues with limited power. The main issue to report is that our AC unit in the main living area is super loud, making it difficult for people staying in the loft to sleep. The AC unit needs to be replaced ASAP.

The cabin wasn't cleaned good. It was something in the cabin that kept biting my whole family. One of the blankets smelled like urine.

We enjoy this KOA very much. The cabin (with loft) is affordable and spacious for our family of four. The only reason I give it four stars is because the bedroom with the bunk beds is not habitable. There is not AC in the room and so it gets up into the 90s. My kids woke up and we’re drenched in sweat. Unfortunately we had the choice of setting them up in the loft. Otherwise, we enjoy this KOA.

The campground was in a great location. The security was lacking in monitoring guests coming into the property. The cabin we stayed in was far from the WiFi output and we were unable to connect for the entire visit. We were expecting to connect since WiFi was in the advertisement as a selling point!! The property management did a great job on check in and check out and were very friendly- thanks

The staff is very friendly, and it is super close to the beach, but the place is really, really run down. We stayed in an 8 person cabin and it was fairly clean. The towels and utensils were good, but our feet were black from the dirty floors and the shower only sprayed one hard stream- either boiling hot or really cold. The rusty AC units made horrible noises! The playground area was a JOKE too.

We stayed in one of the cabin's and it was wonderful. It was great to sit on the Patio and watch the boats go by and at night the water looked so tranquil, it was a perfect setting before retiring to bed.

I feel like quality has declined over the years. The check-in lady was unpleasant and the playground was full of weeds, broken plastic and sticker plants. Other than those things we love the location and the island feel of the park.

Office staff took care of all our needs. You have to remember this is right on the bay and you know what salt water does, overall very well kept. Great pool and park well maintained.

1. The internet didn't work. 2. We left hanging clothes in our room and called the office. Cleaning staff said there were no clothes left in room. LIE!! 3. We got charged an additional $175 as office staff said we had moved from #21 to #6 and the $175 was the additional cost. Another LIE!! Finally, got that lie corrected and got a refund. Not a good experience at all.

Cabin was clean. Bed was very uncomfortable and commode is low/child size. There was very poor wifi and no phone service or internet 90% of our stay. There was no ice to purchase. They were out. Several inconveniences. This was our first stay at a KOA.

We had 1 A/C unit out of the 3 available working. The maintenance personnel suggested we all sleep in the sm 8x8 open area downstairs to stay cool. We felt offended. Management Laura was the only one willing to help. The environment is great this was not our 1st time here and hopefully not our last.

Our studio cabin, K23, was totally disappointing. Hair dryer barely warmed up. The a/c unit did a poor job of cooling even the small cabin. It was obvious that a larger a/c unit had been replaced with a smaller one which did not cool the cabin. We stayed in the same cabin in April, 2021 and had no problems at all. The KOA overall was okay but at least one other cabin also had a smaller a/c unit.

Condo C was a good size for the 5 of us that stayed there It had two baths that was great and kitchenette was functional. The only one complaint that I had was the two sofa sleepers. The mattresses were really worn so we had to bare the pain of feeling the coils and metal cross bars on our backs. I suggest new mattresses on those would help or adding mattress toppers for them.

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
