We had lost of energy for two days in a row and no one could provide us with a update. In addition, as you drove into the park there is a bad smell of sewage and when we flushed it smelled really bad and that's because he had a brand new trailer.

Good clean site. View was great. Workers were pleasant and helpful. We got the site with patio so that we could cook burgers for 10 people before a wedding we were all here for. Went to tell manager and they wanted to charge $100.00 for them to be at the site for 2 hours. Thought that excessive to say the least. For that reason we will find other places next time.

Swimming pool needs better cleaning maintenance and their sewer lift station also needs better/durable equipment in order to stop smelly over flows at RV sites.

We were put in the lot across the street from your site. Bad view, no shade, the street noise from all the cars going to the restaurant was awful. It took three of us to stand out in the street to stop cars so we could back up to get out. No security at your park. Very disappointed as were the people who were beside us.

Clean campground and easy to get in and out of with our 44ft 5er. The back in site we had was a little tight but evidently all pull thru sites were taken. Be aware that the utilities at the back in sites are at rear of site, so make sure you have plenty of electric cord and water hose if you have a 5er w connections at front of trailer. Could be 5 star except for poor wifi service.

Family and I have been staying at your KOA for15 years. We have been going once twice a month now. The one thing I least look forward to is checking in. Most times, especially this saturday 07/31, the people behind the ck-in desk make no effort to make you feel welcome. It feels more like you're bothering them. Its 1st point of contact with your paying guests.

i love my stays at the koa!! staff is super friendly. this time i did have some issues with a rude neighbor who was complaining of parking while i was parked in my space with my parking passes. so much so that several of the other guests did come to our defensive. perhaps better outlined parking.

Campground was clean. The staff was dedicated to doing their job . The pool was large and clean and the Campground has beautiful views.

RV spots were too cramped, there was not enough space to comfortably park the rv. There was no area for fishing at the campground. We had to drive to the state park down the street. Sewer hookup is located right in front of your RV spot so the smell was gross. Upon arrival we were told trash pick up was only from 8-2 pm, when most of us are gone.

KOA has a lot to offer. Example kid activities, pet park, restaurant, Washeteria, pool, gym and showers. Love it.

Super easy check in. No late night noise problems. Really clean park. Really liked the large pool and good size hot tub. Definitely recommend for a family stay or a couple.

Campers were packed in like sardines in a can! Very uncomfortable for real camping.Would have been nice to space them out in light of Pandemic. Yet even with 200 campers it was quite and clean. Did not use the pool or any other of the facilities. Dog areas are good for pets, even had dog poo bags, scoopers, and trash cans. Just too crowded for this country family, would not stay there next time.

Absolutely loved the SPI KOA! It was our first time at an RV park with the kids and the KOA was a perfect fit! Location was great and site had shade from trees. Amenities were all great condition and staff was extremely friendly as well as helpful. We will be back!

The sites are sooo small would be fine if it was on the gulf side. But it's on the sound side. Biggest problem is there is no overview of how and what to do. That's really community problem.

The location is good. Sites are way too tight and way too close to each other. Couldn't get WIFI. Limited to no cell service. When we made our reservation, I was lead to believe we were getting a site with a large wood deck, but we got a concrete patio. The concrete patio was nice, but we had different expectations.

Office staff is very friendly. Facility needs to be properly maintained. Many sites with weeds/grass growing wildly and that looks trashy. And the mosquitoes but that comes with the climate. Overall it’s a great place. Would go back

Site we were put in was too small for our rig so despite being a pull thru we had to unhitch from tow vehicle just to fit which defeats the purpose of a pull thru also the parking situation for handicap is poor as there is only one handicap parking spot at the front office/showers. Would I stay here again maybe would I recommend it to anyone else probably not.

Initially made reservations for a 30ft camper back in March. We then purchased a 44ft camper and immediately contacted KOA and informed them of the change . When we arrived in July our camper barely fit into the lot! Our truck stuck out on road! They never made change to 44ft camper, still had us listed as 30ft. Management was very moody!

The campground were clean well maintained, the staff helpful..good place but busy...but campsites are very close...not much patio space...the sewer outlet could have been a better place not by the picnic table. Had fun time. Would stay at KOA South Padre again...Laguna Madre... Beautiful.

Was really disappointed in how small the site are the people driving you to the sites sit there telling you to back up if I wasn’t outside the truck my husband would have hit a truck and a boat and the whole time telling him to keep coming back. Also daughter-in-law father also was at park same thing they told him he was clear to keep coming back even after he hit another RV. Pool filthy

Stayed in one of the premier sites by the playground. Playground was a disappointment. Also, kids at the pool (teenagers) without supervision we’re out of control and rowdy. Not fun for families to be around. Understand there is new management so hopefully they will resolve the issue. Front desk staff could also smile once in a while. Just sayin.

We are work campers and this location and KOA were perfect for our next temporary home on our winter journey. Staffing is great and helpful. This was our first visit to South Padre and didn't know what to expect. This KOA was a perfect place to stay. This end of the island seems to be where the large RV parks are located. Isla Blanca Park is another large RV park located next door and run by Cameron county. Several smaller beach camping ares are also run by the county along State Park rd 100. South Padre island and Port Isabela have plenty of restaurants and services available in a short drive. Several fun attractions are just minutes away from the park. The weather was cold and rainy most of the week we camped at this KOA. Since we were work camping, the weather didn't really matter and we didn't get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities. We did inspect those we didn't take advantage of. WiFi, laundry and shower facilities are distributed well throughout the park and worked well. Propane is also available on site and not at an overly inflated price. At the end of the pier is a good restaurant and several types of water excursions. Just wish we had more time and better weather to properly check it all out. Defiantly a place to stay longer than a week. The park is on the bay side of the island, has a lot of palm trees and quite pretty. One thing I thought was cool about the park is it seems to be built on an old water pumping station. I wasn't able to confirm this, but it looks like the office and community rooms are built inside old water reservoir tanks. The swimming pool seems to be built on an old outdoor water holding pool. Some large water distribution pipes protrude out of the ground in some areas and are integrated into the concept of the whole park. Very well done. Hope we can find our way to this KOA again.
