Campground Reviews

We have stayed at several KOA’s and this was by far the worst one. Grass was over a foot tall in places and dead. So many washers brokers that the line was forever long. Several amenities outdated or nonexistent. Nozzle on dump station broke and unusable. Told we couldn’t have mats out but over 50 others had them out the entire time. Not a pleasurable stay at all.

Great location and the amenities we wanted. Only improvements would be to find better bathroom ventilation as it was often super hot and the garbage had piled up everywhere and people had over flowed the containers which was a huge bear risk.

Friendly staff. Easy check in. Nice pull through sites. Store has a lot to offer. Only thing that could improve was that the pool was ice cold.

Very run down. Campsite very small with no shade tons of bugs, fire pit right next to tree. The swimming pool was freezing

My only complaint is that 7 out of 14 washers were unusable in a super busy KOA. Otherwise it was a great visit

The people were friendly and helpful. However the grounds are run down. We were there 6 years ago and it was much nicer. I think this KOA might be a victim of COVID. They need some serious landscaping, playground make over as well as makeover to some of their other facilities. Great location though if you want to bike into the park.

I would suggest that St Mary’s KOA removes from their website that they offer paddle boarding. They offer kayaking but not paddle boarding. Sounds like they haven’t offered Paddle boarding for a while (since they got rid of their paddle birds) but it is still on their website. My kids were slightly disappointed.

Beautiful views. Nice site. Should utilize the lake shore more were the kayaks are, maybe picnic table or benches. Could keep up with lawn care a little more. More showers/rest rooms needed. Laundry, half machines were out of order. Friendly staff.

Our family had a GREAT stay at East Glacier KOA - July 2021. 8 adults, 4 kids in 4 camp sites. KOA staff was GREAT, nice bathrooms/showers, pool/hot tub, laundry & coffee was brewed /expresso available by 7:05am. We had a young black bear walk into our camp one morning - Be Bear Aware & have spray ready even though we didn't use it - he was more scared of us! We will be back next year for sure

Friendly people at the camp store. However the sites were too small. Our picnic table was right next to sewer connection. Amenities advertised on their website was not available. Great park access though!

I wish that the laundry was fully operational. Half of the washers were out of order causing long waits to do laundry. I was there to take in the local scenery, not wait in the laundry room to get a washer.

The pool was ice cold and the hot tub was a boiling pot. You need a heated pool. The tent sites are the smallest I've ever been in, could barely fit my big tent and my small Honda Fit into it. No bathrooms near the tent sites, had to walk aways. Other than that the customer service was wonderful, the strawberry ice cream is to die for, and the scenery can't be beat. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Fantastic experience! The site was a tad on the small side but not too terribly cramped.

Typical KOA. Gravel sites, kind of close together. Pricey as you are paying for proximity to Glacier National Park. EVERYTHING is expensive here, from laundry to ice cream - $4 for a scoop of Ice Cream? C'mon.

Too expensive, great location, needs second pool, or second large hot tub, needs grass cut, half washers and dryers did not work, nice store, small lots too close together. Cost too much for what you get. Seems they need extra help with clean up/ property grooming.

Nice wooded tent sites. Ended up with a motorcycle site, which was tight for our family of 5 and SUV, but we made it work. Staff was very friendly. It also has a nice pool and mountain views. Overall we had a great experience.

I paid $80/night for a site that had no space. The fire pit was under my tip out. So useless. The picnic table was at such an angle that you could not set anything on it without it rolling off. There was no space for our kids tents. We couldn’t even set up our extra table or camp chef. We set our chairs along the camper so we could sit and eat. Then promptly put them away so we had space to walk

Our cabin was almost right next to the restroom (really convenient), and the restroom was clean and the showers were lovely with what appeared to be the rock from Lake McDonald. We enjoyed the store and had ice cream twice and appreciated that there were some groceries stocked as well. Our cabin was cozy and clean and suited our needs. We were so happy the store was also serving yummy coffee!!

Customer service was great and the sites were clean and no issues. Pool area was lacking as the pool was extremely cold, jets on hot tub didn't work and water fountain/play area didn't work

Beautiful location, spacious sights, clean bathrooms, plenty for kids to do, great employees, close to park entrance. What more could you ask for?

Nice campground with beautiful views of the east side of Glacier National Park. Great amenities and we especially enjoyed the large hot tub after a long day of hiking. Friendly staff and they also offer pet sitting services.

Wonderful!

The bathrooms showers had the best layout I have seen. The staff are super friendly. The location is prime to the going to the sun road. Sites are small and not well maintained. Ours was super overgrown and crowded. There were no organized activities, so my teens (who are not hikers) were bored. There is river access through the campground with a microscopic beach.

Our deluxe cabin was perfect, clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and always helpful. The scenery - super. The cabins were situated in a way that allowed our family, 20 of us, to socialize easily. thanks for your hospitality.

Overpriced & run down. The most we have paid a KOA & disappointed. We enjoy activities at KOAs. Everything here is not desirable. Dirty pool with broken tiles. Should have an entrance on both sides of pool since it is so out of the way. I was in hot tub & a guy yelled at me and told me to get out now. I guess it was closed & someone else took the cover off- not my fault. Better signage would help

Great job guys and gals.

Staff were friendly. I loved that we could borrow bicycles for use in-camp, free of charge! Relaxing in the pool and hot tub after a day of hiking in the National Park was perfect. They make use of every square foot of space that's available.

Had tent site with loud neighbors all around. Someone was letting off fireworks for an hour around midnight, 2 car alarms went off during middle of night. Bathroom situation was horrendous, 6 person wait for showers, sane for bathrooms. Do not recommend this KOA.

Absolutely loved staying here during our time in Glacier! We stayed in one of the small cabins with no bathroom and it was perfect for my boyfriend and I. We went during the last 3 days they were open so it was quiet and peaceful. Only complaint would be there is no where for food during this time because the park and KOA is about to close! Otherwise it was amazing.

Have stayed here a few times and the staff is wonderful. Late season camping and not crowded. We had a cabin facing trash dumpsters, smell of sewage and tall fence blocking view behind cabin. Disappointing location.
