I would not recommend this campground. After checking in we quickly noticed this campground wasn’t holding campers accountable for bear safety. We felt uneasy & reported to the front office that campers had food/grills/garbage out. Later that night I woke up to a bear pushing me into the middle of my tent. We reported the incident to the owner who handled things poorly/little concern for safety.

Everything here was very clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. Our car broke down and if we had needed to stay another night they were willing to do whatever it took to find us another tent site. We ended up getting a tow truck, but I appreciated the fact that they were willing to work with us.

It was not worth the money! Bathrooms and water are far away from the tent sites, the people who need that the most. The bathrooms were disgusting for hours before someone finally cleaned them—feces and vomit, not just dirt! The site also was extremely small, we barely fit our tent. Again, I wished I was in a national forest campground rather than there, but with Covid most were closed or full.

Good campground. Big, clean restrooms. The pool was inviting. Many of the campfire grates, however, are within a few inches of trees and vegetation. Seems like a severe fire risk.

The stay was good but I was disappointed that emails ahead of time were not answered. I had booked two nights on one reservation, then booked the night before on a separate reservation. Several days before our arrival, I wrote an email asking if we could get the same site for all three nights. No answer. No luck when we checked in either, and the person didn't seem interested in accommodating.

Good place. Staff was great. The campground was crowded. I was tent camping and could hear people around the campground playing music, laughing and kids playing after 10pm. I went to one campground and asked them to turn off the music. I shouldn’t have to do that. Staff should patrol the campground and enforce the quiet time rules that all guests agree to when they sign the paperwork at check-in

The KOA in St. Mary was very clean, had a decent pool and hot tub, and friendly staff.

Staff are freindly and helpful. Facilities are busy and get messy because there are so many people. A lot more campers are rising (and making noise) very early in the morning than in previous years becasue of Glacier Park entry issues.

The location of this campground is great. The campsite I got however was horrible. It was tiny. I had to shove the picnic table in the woods and had to remove the fireplace grate completely. Even after that I could barely fit my 1 person tent and my compact car onto the site. It was completely covered in sharp wood chips which punched a fist sized hole in my new $400 tent. Never again.

Service and employee was very nice and friendly. The down side part was not able to do fire but again it's okay. Got to do what is best for everyone around us.

We had a great time here. The kids loved the pool. My only comment is that when I asked the staff out front about recycling, they said that there wasn't any despite information on the map stating otherwise. Please consider a recycling program or making recycling containers easy to find and/or more visible.

Blurb in KOA magazine or directory was misleading about pets. No mention of a bark dollar or how limited the kennel was. Also said they had a restaurant there was not one. Not very helpful and when making reservation I had to repeat myself multiple times.

Nice staff and very clean restrooms and shower facilities. However, campsites a bit overgrown with weeds and very tight to back in a pick up truck to the tent area. Otherwise, nice views and secluded

I thought the bathrooms where very well maintained. Maybe a little dust control around where the tents are. But very quiet. Nice pool. Glad there is shade for the tents.

We had to change our camper reservations when our camper broke before arriving. The tent sites were secluded and nice by the river. Our last night, we loved the cabin with the frig and microwave! The bathrooms were great. Cathy and Debi at the front desk and Nicole (the coffee lady) were awesome and personable. They worked with us to change to a tent/cabin. Sierra needs a Customer Service lesson!

The campsite was too small to park and put up a a moderate sized tent, there was garbage in it and the fire pit was right under trees-huge fire danger! Showers were gross. So overpriced and will not ever stay at KOA again!

Campground has a nice layout. Staff are very nice and helpful. The facilities could use a little TLC. Maybe due to Covid.

Best rating for location, service store and facility offered. Need improvement on availability of functioning washer and dryer since only 20% are working, and wash basin inside women bathroom needed fixing. My tent site was good unfortunately didn’t have space for hammock. Thanks KOA because making access to GNP super easy though. We want to be back hopefully with improvements!

This was our 2nd time staying at the St.Mary KOA. It was absolutely wonderful both times! We had tent sites both times and the sites were clean and in very nice areas, as were most of the sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The bathroom/ shower facilities are also very nice and we appreciated them very much. Definitely plan on staying on our future trips!

was very expensive for a tent site with no water or electric. poor coffee, ran out of ice. Bathrooms and showers were clean and nice.

We enjoyed the extras that this KOA has - intermittent Wi-Fi, ice cream, showers, etc and are grateful that this campground was open when the East side NPS campgrounds were closed. However, the noise from inconsiderate campers and Kip's Beer Garden outside of quiet hours was ridiculous. Kept awake by people screaming and loud music until 1:00 am only to be woken again at 4:30 am was frustrating.

We traveled from Wisconsin and stayed at St Mary/East Glacier KOA for our honeymoon. It was the cleanest campground we have ever stayed at! The bathrooms/showers were well kept, everything was easily accessible, and above all, the staff was extremely personable and helpful. We have never stayed at a KOA before, but will be sure to add one of it’s many kampgrounds into our future travel plans!

Very run down. Campsite very small with no shade tons of bugs, fire pit right next to tree. The swimming pool was freezing

Absolutely loved staying here during our time in Glacier! We stayed in one of the small cabins with no bathroom and it was perfect for my boyfriend and I. We went during the last 3 days they were open so it was quiet and peaceful. Only complaint would be there is no where for food during this time because the park and KOA is about to close! Otherwise it was amazing.

Have stayed here a few times and the staff is wonderful. Late season camping and not crowded. We had a cabin facing trash dumpsters, smell of sewage and tall fence blocking view behind cabin. Disappointing location.

Family atmosphere with friendly accessible owners and staff . Outstanding gift shop with coffee and ice cream bar, dog friendly park , very clean bathrooms and hot hot showers , lots of options for tents , trailers , and cabins ….. plenty of amenities and convenient access to Glacier National Park / St Mary's entrance .
