Overall the campground has a good layout, friendly staff & the sites are well maintained. Only a couple of bad things 1. WIFI needs improvement. Even with the booster in my RV, the signal is still very weak. 2. This isn't the KOA's responsibility but someone needs to constantly stay after the county to repair the spillway for the lake. Without the lake, the campground looses a lot of appeal.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Beautiful setting which will only be better once the situation with the dry lake gets resolved. I trust the quiet setting will change drastically once the water park is up and running! I’ll be back either way!

If the lake was fixed and full of water our RV club New Generation Sams would have at least 1 camp outing a year there. ( between 6 to 12 rigs each outing ). We loved everything but the empty lake. let us know if they ever get it fixed. Arlene Ernstes 731-217-2277, [email protected] Thank you

The Camping experience here was fantastic. Everything about the park was perfect. The only issue with the whole park was the Lake was gone. Yes gone. This is not their fault - it is the State - there is a problem with the levee system which keeps the water in the lake. There is reportedly a repair to be made and they do not know when the state will fix the issue. Other than the view Awesome.

Very quiet area. The facilities were very clean. Check in was a breeze and we enjoyed the weekend getaway. We were told about the lake being drained before arrival so it was not a surprise. The employees I spoke with were very nice.

This is a nice RV park convenient to Starkville and the Natchez Trace. It's a shame that the Oktibbeha County Lake's dam sprung a leak and it is almost empty. The parks water slide and docks are high and dry. The site we had was level and concrete. it was very quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The park was beautiful, no lake needed. Most importantly our camp hostess Mia was absolutely amazing!!

The staff was amazing and very accommodating. I was a lot disappointed that there was no water in the lake of a campground advertising a water park. But the campground itself was clean and beautiful!

Staff (young lady) was very friendly, cordial and helpful. Sites were good, park was clean/neat. The biggest issue we had was that our GPS routed us a to a very small road with lots of low hanging trees. On the way out the GPS was saying that the road we were on was not rated for RV use. Don't know if the road has been redone or if the GPS had the wrong. ?????

We absolutely loved our cabin stay! The cabin was so cute, clean, private, and enjoyable! I’ve been telling everyone about it! We also enjoyed visiting with the friendly and helpful office staff....especially Mia! I wish the lake had been there, but that’s beyond your control, and we enjoyed the “prairie” view instead!

Spacious pull-throughs, very quiet, nice large shade trees, very friendly and welcoming staff. Wished all KOAs were like that. Really nice.

Mia the owner/manager is very good with customer service. An example she came to our new Motorhome and helped us get to get our TV to work.

Great facility. It was super clean and well groomed. Not sure what happened to the lake. I was greeted by a lady with a great bubbly personality. Escorted me to my spot and made sure it was satisfactory. Free upgrade. Outstanding.

We love staying at the Starkville KOA; it’s our home away from home when visiting Mississippi State University! I would give it 5 stars if they could just fix the lake and get water back in it... Otherwise, it will always be our first choice for camping in Starkville. Staff is very friendly and grounds are always well cared for.

Great stay! We stayed in a tent and I felt very safe there. Quiet except for all the wonderful animal sounds. There were three gorgeous owls very close to our spot. Mia was so nice and kind, brought us firewood and made sure we had everything we needed. Bathrooms are beautiful and clean plus there are several shower rooms. Wonderful stay. I'll be back with my sister in the fall!

While the campground is average at best the ad states a lake and water features. Neither exists. KOA needs to clean up their act in ratings and ads.

The stay was great. The people were very nice. Loved the scenery. We had problems with ants all over the concrete pad when we arrived. They were so bad you could not even sit without them getting crawling on you. They even got in our camper

It was nice and quite. There were not a lot of campers. We had received a phone call to let us know a map would be left near the office door. Grass needed to be cut, There were 2 dead birds I saw on the way to the pet area. There was a water bowl in the pet area that needed to be cleaned/scrubbed. I am not a fan of community dog bowls. I would probably stay there again if I am ever in the area.

Staff was friendly. Lake was dried up so nothing really to do with 2 teenage kids. Camp site was nice but would have thought the grass would have been mowed beings it was Labor Day weekend.

The hostess was super nice. There were plenty of shady sites. But the store was closed at 4pm even though the sign said open until 6. Bathhouses were clean. A little pricey for what you get.

The campground in itself was nice. Staff helped out in meeting our needs for a pull through camp sight, However due to the low hanging tree limbs, it took us about 20 minutes to pull into the site and unhook. Recommendation is that sites become big rig friendly from low hanging branches and updating there web page. The lake is drained and has been for some time. No activities at this campground.

Disappointed about the lake being drained, but the campground is very nice. Very clean and nice shaded area. The lady that works there is super friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for just one night as we traveled. Facilities were in good condition and the site was level. Would stay here again in the future if we travel again this way.

We were there for a month and three weeks for our daughter. Mia ,Isaac and family are the owners. And let me tell you. They will go the extra mile for their campers. Thanks again guys!!!

False advertising. I was supposed to have a view of a lake and have sand beach. My view was a field of weeds and what was supposed to be a sand beach was a junk heap. The only correct info was the water slide was closed due to repair on the dam. I will never trust any info coming from this KOA. campground workers were basically non existent and the campground was in dire need of maintenance.

Just one night and the campground was nice. The available bathrooms were a bit of a walk but clean.

We had a great site with a large patio and fire ring that was very easy to get in but a little challenging to pull out on departure day. Lots of directional signs a little too close to the narrow road turned into extra obstacles to navigate around. The lake is still drained due to issues with the dam.

Our stay was quiet and enjoyable! The site we occupied #14 was well equipped with full hook ups plus local cable and fit our travel trailer (30' w/ living room slide) and tow vehicle perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Brandy the service attendant during our stay.
