Staff was great, but that’s the only nice thing about the site. It sits on an abandoned lake that’s full of weeds. The grounds are very swampy when it rains and does not drain well so you have to stay on the gravel everywhere you go. Not much to do especially for a family.

AMAZING campground! Absolutely wonderful staff. Stayed here 9 months for work. Super clean showers and laundry room. Close to Starkville attractions and stores

The sites are nice and roomy, and the grounds are well-kept. Staff was helpful. BUT … the lake was drained a couple years ago (some political reason/excuse for not fixing the problem) and is overgrown with trees and shrubs. No water activities. Fishing is always a big attraction for us. No laundry facilities. Bath houses were hot but clean. A little disappointing for a KOA.

Hard to navigate for a bigger rig, almost impossible with a 45 footer. WiFi…virtually, non existent … we were pretty close the Main Hub and the park was at 20% occupancy. Very pretty setting, and off the beaten path. I’m 50/50 on this rating. I work full time from the RV and I only need minimal up and downloads speeds…. The speed test on the WiFi, errored out at 0.00 mbs

Staff was friendly and we had a spacious pull thru site overlooking the lake! We also loved Starkville and visiting the MSU campus.

People were very loud at night, which made it difficult for me to go to sleep. My baby also woke up due to the noises.

Facilities were very clean, just as they always are. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Only issue that was bothersome was that the campsite does not drain well. Our site was in a low area and with all of the excessive rains we have had recently, water was standing in most places around our camp site. We will for sure stay here again, but it will be on another site.

Check in was a breeze with very friendly staff. The campground itself was not very well maintained and felt abandoned. Absolutely nothing there or near there to do and no nearby stores of any kind.

Pictures on website are misleading. I understand that they were recovering from flood and rain but they should have told us when we called to make reservations that we couldn’t use slides or docks for fishing. Specially when you have kids there was nothing for them to do. Very disappointed with this KOA!

Great, quiet spot with very nice people. Great site. The owner/manager went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of from the moment we arrived until the day we left. We will be back for sure. Thanks again MEO!!!!!

We have stayed there twice. This campground needs some love. The dumpster was overfull. The restrooms were very dirty. They need a little trash can in each restroom/shower so people will stop throwing their trash on the floor. The showers need to be scrubbed. It was a shame to see this campground “let go”!!!!

What a shame the lake level is so low, I feel bad for the owners of this lovely park. Mia greeted us with, by far, the friendliest KOA greeting we've ever gotten. If you want a nice quiet stay, this is a great spot. Once the lake comes back, they'll be a solid "10".

This was our third time to stay here. It’s a nice quiet park. Camping is at a premium in Starkville. Nothing for children to do it’s a shame the water has gotten so low and you can’t utilize the water park. but gets us close to our family when we are there. Will definitely continue to stay when in Starkville.

Beautiful surroundings and very quiet. The water level is still low but that wasn't an issue for us. We stayed one night and had full hook up. Nice people and will definitely stay again.

I enjoyed the peaceful location, large trees,breezy quite lot. Hearing birds in the early morning, put a warmth in my heart. Walking to the pier and watching the geese and other water fowl. Especially the large eagle setting across the lake during sunset. Will stop in when l'm in your area again. You and staff so kind and helpful. Ms Q./Florida

We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed staying at your campground. Amenities are nice and clean and friendly personnel. Grounds were clean and quiet. Enjoyed our stay.

The biggest problem for us was that the front desk/store closed earlier then posted without notice. Not just a few minutes either, we went up there over an hour before the posted close time. The whole park was very muddy and rutted out in spots next to the sites and the dog park was just dirt with patches of tall grass and little maintenance.

Couldn't use water slide or beach due to dam issues. Was quiet and rv spot was ok. Only stayed 1 night due to travel. No reason to stay again unless travelling and would need to use it.

We had a great site with a large patio and fire ring that was very easy to get in but a little challenging to pull out on departure day. Lots of directional signs a little too close to the narrow road turned into extra obstacles to navigate around. The lake is still drained due to issues with the dam.

Our stay was quiet and enjoyable! The site we occupied #14 was well equipped with full hook ups plus local cable and fit our travel trailer (30' w/ living room slide) and tow vehicle perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Brandy the service attendant during our stay.
