Unfortunately the water level on the lake makes this KOA an unlikely place to stay. It was probably a beautiful park before that. Our lot size was nice but overall area needs updated and cleaned. Bathroom and laundry area was very clean.

Cycling the Natchez Trace and found this by accident. Even with the 12-15 mile drive off the Trace, it was worth it. Quiet and comfortable for a big rig RV. Loved all the birds in the area.

I loved the campground itself however, the little water park would be awesome if it was up and running. It would also be great if they could get the levee fixed or whatever is causing the problem for the lake not to be full.

The KOA management personnel Lindy and Gene were very helpful and friendly. Robert the maintenance guy was the same. Top notch employees.

If we had know the condition of this KOA we would not have booked it and traveled further for better campground. KOA is our go to for great campgrounds so we were horribly disappointed.

KOA Starkville's beautiful location is sadly detoriorating very quickly because of the stubbornness of the county to repair the levee. The water is draining and that beautiful lake is becoming a wasteland. It was Super Bulldog Weekend, huge for a college town, and there were still several spots open. :( Otherwise, we love that campground and can't wait to go back! (p.s. - Shame on Oktibbeha Co!)

Like many campgrounds, the sites were a bit small. My class B was backed almost touching a tree before the front had comfortable clearance from traffic . Side to side clearance from other RV's could have used about 5 more feet. Bath houses were above average. Staffing was low even for off-season. Still, it was a good stay. An enjoyable location.

The people are great and campground peaceful. The lake is filling now - a big plus. If the lake ever gets back to the level where the waterslides are usable, this place would be an easy 5 star rating.

This is an older campground but they have done a good job of keeping the grounds clean. There is a section of pull-thru paved sites where we stayed that is free of trees and the ability to get satellite service was easy. They also have cable and our site(P1) had a patio with furniture and a fire ring. The lake is still only partially filled with rain water due to the damaged levy.

It was extremely wet which can not be controlled by anyone. But having to walk through piles of wet leaves that had not been picked up to even hookup was frustrating. Needs some TLC

The person who checked us in was nice. The campground was awful. The grass was high. We couldn’t use the fire ring because the whole campsite was a sopping mess, the entire campground was a sopping mess. The closest restroom was locked and inaccessible. Luckily this was not our first stay at a KOA. If it had, we would never stay at another one again. KOA’s cost more, so I expect better than th

The office staff is super friendly! I would have thought however when I booked 2 spots (both deluxe) that it would have triggered the thought, maybe she wants these spots together if possible, instead of me having to call to find you did not book us close together. Additionally a friend booked a tent spot and was told each spot had their own power, fyi they do not.

Very nice location. Beautiful lake, quite and peaceful at night. With no city lights around the stars at night are magnificent. Not really a big rig sit up. The slabs are too small for anything over 30 ft. If you are towing anything forget it. I would recommend this location with the right setup. Staff are excellent to work with.

The stay was very good, the only concern or warning to incoming guests, is you need to be aware of low hanging wires going across the road from the pole to the office. You need to stay over close to the pole when coming in or leaving with an rv. Other than that it is nice we have stayed there a couple of times.

We were at this KOA during the severe storm threats and I cannot tell you how awesome both Gene and Lindy were during that time. We stayed an extra day due to the severe weather threat and are very thankful that we did. The campground was not very busy but I’m sure in season it probably is. It’s a gorgeous setting. If we are in the area again we would definitely return.

We had a great site with a large patio and fire ring that was very easy to get in but a little challenging to pull out on departure day. Lots of directional signs a little too close to the narrow road turned into extra obstacles to navigate around. The lake is still drained due to issues with the dam.

Our stay was quiet and enjoyable! The site we occupied #14 was well equipped with full hook ups plus local cable and fit our travel trailer (30' w/ living room slide) and tow vehicle perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to Brandy the service attendant during our stay.
