The site we had was very level and that was really nice to have. Otherwise, they are not ready for covid, the beach was dirty, amenities were minimal, cable channels were not all working, and there was no shade. We kinda felt we were in the middle of a big parking lot. The staff was nice but there not enough on hand. We would stay here if passing through but not for a long period of time.

Gave a 4 star only as I feel the beach area could use a little more up keep. Only 2 umbrellas up and not enough loungers. The beach area itself could use a good raking daily as there was a lot of algae. Other than that, this is a great KOA to stay at with the Kiddo's. Bathrooms were spotless, great theme day ending with outside movie. Discount tickets available for the waterpark at the office.

We came for a weekend and had a great time! The staff were friendly and helpful, the tent site was clean. We'll be back for sure!

It was great! Close to the waterpark, nice showers and restrooms, and the beach/ pond was nice except I wish it was a little deeper.

Was extremely disappointed in our stay at the cabins. For the cost to stay overnight I would have expected a lot better service from the help. They were not knowledgeable about their amenities. Instead of calling appropriate supervisors to assist them they would simply say no. Would never recommend the cabins to anyone EXTREMELY overpriced.

I am pleased with the space between each camper, the restrooms are clean, the playgrounds are fun for the kids, the beach is a place for family to enjoy n cool off. Nice walk around the lake. Lots to do. Over all cleanliness good.

We checked in on Friday afternoon of the Death by Chocolate Weekend. The young man who checked us in did not give us any information, schedule or even a mention of the weekend activities.

Great accommodations! Updated and Clean restrooms. So much to do! Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back. The Waterpark discount was a great perk!

We love staying at the cabins. Would live to see some updates, mowed lawns and no dead flies in the window sills next year. Each year we have said this but its still not very clean when we get there and the lawns are never mowed. Also would like to see more shades on the poles on the beach.

Great stay but for the fact that we didn’t realize how close to the interstate the campground was. Definitely negated “quiet hours.” But we still enjoyed the stay and the kids loved the park

We enjoyed facility however staff should be cleaning areas such as all the trash around the lake and in our firepit that was left by previous customers. Also people with dogs not putting poop in appropriate recepticles....they put it in our fire pit!

From the manicured landscape to the polite and professional receptionist, I am extremely impressed with everything at this facility. The lot rental to the convenience store was well within my budget and the Lost Island Waterpark was convenient down the street. The friendly staff was exhilarating and made my family and I feel like we were right at home. We will definitely do this again!

Water park was awesome but the KOA needs some love. Cabin was not very clean or welcoming, not what I expected. Wouldn’t suggest our cabin to anyone.

Stay was nice but the tv was not working and no one answered when we called to the front. Also we asked to be accommodated to stay next to the family that we came with but did not work with us. Also disappointed in renting there paddle boats and water trike, pedals were broken on both and pedal boat was full of water.

Our family stayed in a large cabin with a kitchen. We were able to all be together and relax after a busy day. The beach was clean and enjoyable, the boat rentals were fun, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The shower house was clean and accessible. We would definitely reccomend to others and come back. We had a good time . Thank you.

Great facility and friendly people in store/check-in area. The swimming beach was awesome, and for a small lake, relatively clean. One minor concern: On both mornings of our stay, they mowed and then the next day trimmed right by our trailer while we were outside. I think they could have waited and done another site in the giant campground that was nearly empty, then worked around our site later.

I have been coming here for the past 4 years, we love the lake and park. The only bad part about camping here is the lack of shade and that when it gets really hot the tar under the rock at the campsites sticks to your feet and then gets in the camper. This year I specifically asked for one of the back in sites by the park and I was told that they were not available, but there were several...:(

Only complaint - the fire pit started out with junk in it and around it ( plastic silverware, contact cases? ) the clean up by maintenance - put ALL junk outside of fire pit INSIDE it —-Not Combustible— REALLY!

The text cites are incredibly small and pathetic. Absolutely no shade which is ridiculous. If you combined two sites into one it might be the proper size. The staff were super friendly that is about the only reason I recommend staying. Highly overpriced.

Loved our stay at Lost Island! We will be back. Only issue was we went to the waterpark and used the coupons from KOA and we almost didn't get in because we didn't have a day pass. Should be an option with KOA and Lost Island Waterpark to apply discount when purchases tickets rather than waiting for the day off and taking a gamble on getting in.

Cabin was dirty when we arrived (even more concerning since it’s Corona virus season) and grounds could be better maintained. Grass was long, weeds on the island could be cleared so people can use the other side, lake could be treated (it’s pea green and stinky).

Nice campground and lake. Very friendly and organized at check in. Fire pits need some attention at camp sites, kind of sunk and ours full of water. Cable didn't work again. Stayed here last year and had the same problem at a different site

We had a beautiful patio site overlooking the pond. Campground and bathrooms were spotless! We will definetly stay again anytime we are traveling through Iowa. First class campground and staff!! Thank you

We love the Campgrounds but didn’t like staying by the homeless guy with the Pit bull on a log chain. We were in spot #3 and he was right next to us. Very unnerving.

Restrooms hard to find physically . None of them scattered throughout campsite. Basically one site for all the campers.

It was a fun weekend with our children and grandchildren. We took our camper and then rented a cabin for our children and grandchildren. We will definitely return.

The only issue I had was with the sewer dump being on a hill and to far back, made it a little difficult dumping.
