This was a nice park, and large. Check in easy but no escort so circled the rabbit maze several times before finding our site. All acceptable but the bathrooms were DIRTY. When said something to clerk, she said, "Yeah, we have a hard time keeping them clean." Nope, sorry, not in a public park....you do what it takes!!! Otherwise great park.

The grounds were well kept, very clean! They were very friendly and accommodating, they made sure things were taken care of and very helpful whenever we needed anything! We plan to make this one of our go to places!

We enjoyed it very much. We were meeting friends there on our yearly get together. The park was the perfect location for us. Our first visit to Waterloo area of Iowa as we are from Ca. Our friends are from Wisconsin. We stayed 14 days and one of our concerned was they didn't mow and the grass got longer and longer. We had many pot holes we had to watch for so we didn't sprain our ankles.

Our stay was great. It was quite and peaceful. I do wish we could have selected our own campsites. We stayed with another family and would have liked to be able to have the option to be next to each other.

We enjoyed our stay. Only comment is that the sink was running the entire time in the bathroom. I think you probably need to do a little updating in there. Otherwise it was a nice place and we will go back.

I know everyone is short staffed, at this time but the shower house could have been serviced mo frequently.

I brought my 4 granddaughters and my son. We had a wonderful time and plan on inviting the rest of the family to join us next time. Staff were helpful and acted in a professional manner.

Love the location and the campground is beautiful. A few of the staff was a little rude so I gave 4 stars instead of 5 but the rest of the staff was great. We really enjoyed our stay.

Challenged by a maintenance worker with a very arrogant attitude, implied that my wife and her sister were involved in drug smuggling when they located a geocache. Made sure we understood we were on private property. When I tried to explain what a geocache was, he made clear he was not interested in knowing and acted as if we were potential criminals. The facilities themselves were fine.

We camped 7/11/2021 to 7/15/2021.Campground has many amenities that we took advantage of frisbee golf, lake fishing, playground, pedal boat & paddle board. Frisbee golf course was not mowed and grass was very high. One person received a tick due to tall grass. Fishing was great. Playground was small with no swings. Paddle board came with a kayak paddle. No soap in bathrooms for 4 days.

Restrooms and showers are a hike from sites closest to the entrance of the park, and very difficult to find in the dark. Brought our map and still got lost. You have to continually press a button for shower water. Guests who arrived after office closing were not left map and registration info for after hours registration. Not impressed with this location. Would not stay here again.

This is the second year we have booked and stayed at the Lost Island KOA. Both experiences have been wonderful. The facilities are clean and well kept. The beach is clean and the staff has been very helpful for any of our needs. We plan on making this an annual trip for celebrating the end of the school year.

Was definitely one of the bedt koas i stayed at. Only thing that i didnt like was the banana boats and paddle boats need work and left us stuck out in the lake. They need to be more looked into before renting them out. But other then that the campground was nice, clean, and very inviting. Staff was awesome every time we had to go into the store for something. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

This facility works perfect for our family as we have some cabins and some campers!! Very clean and lake is beautiful! We will be back next year for our annual reunion. Thanks so much to Amy for helping us get the group blocked.

The staff were phenomenal! The beach and restrooms were well kept! We had no internet access the entire stay and when we rented a boat, it was broken. The young man working kept a smile on his face as multiple boats had issues and he was trying like crazy to accommodate everyone when some folks weren't being so kind to him about the situation.

Really nice cabins and nice beach area for the little kids. Beach volleyball and fishing were fun as well. Disappointed with the water trike, the driver side was the only side where the pedals worked leaving one person to do all the work. When staff was informed, they said they forgot and should probably take it out of service. Would have thought they would have offered some money back.

All the staff was great the campgrounds and bathrooms were kept clean and nice the only thing that I had a problem with was the sewer pipes are so far back that you needed 2 to 3 sections of hose to reach them

THIS IS OUR FAVORITE CAMPGROUND IN IOWA, WE STAY HERE 2 TO 3 TIMES A YEAR. ITS ALWAY CLEAN AND GRASS IS MOWED, WE LOVE THE BEACH AREA. STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY.

Large park, spaces are very close and no shade. Difficult to get down the paths to the parking site. It appears alot of people come to spend their vacation here. Alot of activities, canoes and kayaks for rent as well as paddle boats. There is also fishing in the lake. Stayed one night, too crowded for our taste.

This was a great last minute, last night stop on our way home to Michigan from Yellowstone National Park. Good price, great campground! All paved level sites with full hookups made it easy for us to pull in late, hook up, grab some dinner and get a good night's sleep.

We enjoyed our time there and will be back. The only thing we would have liked was more consistent WiFi connection. It was very spotty.

Bathrooms dirty. Young staff seemed clueless. Directions to campsite where incorrect by young staff. Wifi and cable did not work. First KOA stay...hope others are better.

We loved the camp ground! Was nice relaxing trip. Our kids enjoyed swimming and renting peddle boats. We ended our evenings making s’mores in the fire pit. Spent a day at Lost Island water park which was a huge hit!

We stayed here multiple times during the 2021 camping season and thoroughly enjoyed each and every stay.
