Educational hatchery and aquarium focused on native fish conservation and the Missouri River ecosystem. The Meridian Walking Bridge & Plaza is the longest double-decker pedestrian bridge connecting two states, spanning the Missouri River between South Dakota and Nebraska. Originally built in 1924 as the first permanent bridge crossing the river, the historic structure has become one of Yankton's most recognizable landmarks. Built in 1928 by John Keller, the Ice House was the first artificial ice plant in the Yankton area before becoming a beloved local bar shortly after Prohibition ended.
