Large showers in the rest rooms in the rear of the camp. Always clean. Very flat site—there are no hills in Amarillo! Spacious tent sites. Train whistles and airplanes taking off are close by. Friendly staff. Free shuttle to the Big Texan, for steak lovers. Stay here several times a year. Good place to stay.

Amarillo is an outstanding KOA. Very friendly and welcoming staff, updated and clean shower building and level spacious sites. We were very pleased.

We stayed at the park for 4 nights. Check in was easy. All staff members were friendly and helpful. The site was big enough, unfortunately the grass areas were basically dirt. The laundry facilities were fine. Our only issue was that the WiFI only reached the area around the main building.

Nice clean campground with friendly hosts. The pool was too cold to swim in but everything else was great.

Park is clean and if you are just driving through for one night it would work. Very small and trailers are placed real close. No room for grilling out. No internet to speak of, but, great location for seeing a lot of things around Amarillo. BUT, there are signs posted of fines you will get if you check out a minute late and it’s doubled if you check out after 12 noon. Won’t come back, tho.

Amarillo KOA has the best tent beds by far!!! Comforts stations are always clean and the sunrise can’t be beat.

Easy access off the Interstate. Park well maintained and managed. Good interior roads with ample space between sites. WIFI worked good.

This is place is the "poster-child" for KOA. We've stayed here a couple of times and it is consistently one of the best campgrounds we've stayed at. The grounds are immaculate, everything is in fine working order and the staff professional and friendly. Well located for visiting Amarillo and the surrounding area.

We checked in after midnight and had no issues finding our spot and getting settled. Everything was very clean. Great stay!

Great campground and staff. Easy access. The only reason for the lower rating is I am not fond of train whistles all night. Not much sleep and in our case we stopped for the night to prepare for the next days journey.

only complaint was the amount of flies on our site...Not a few but literally a thousand. Clean BATHROOM...Nice pool..The Limo service from the Big Texan was a nice touch.

We had a great site on an end and while some folks complain about the noise, we weren't bothered by itenjoyed. Could hardly even hear anything inside our RV. In fact, my husband enjoyed sitting outside and watching the planes and trains. There's a nice place about 30 miles away to do a "jeep tour", which we also enjoyed.

Easy check-in when arriving late and a nice map to guide us directly to our reserved spot. A very nice KOA. Plenty of room between campers and the it's neat and clean.

People were nice. The best part was the free limo to The Big Texan Steak Ranch. It was the highlight of our night. The spot was smaller than we thought so the car had to come off the dolly. Being by a hwy, an airport, and train, made it a little hard to sleep.

This is a Journey site, so not much to see other than the RV sites, and it was a bit further from I40 than we expected. That's OK though, as we are one night standers while we cross the country. Easy in - east out - pleasant welcome - clean and well kept. That's all we ask for. That's what we got.

We only stayed one night, but the campground is very well maintained, the bathrooms were VERY clean, and well maintained. Has a nice playground, and there is plenty of room in the campsites. The roads are dirt, and I could see it being dusty on a windy day, but in this part of Texas, dust is just part of the deal, so I'm not faulting the KOA for that. We stay in a lot of KOA's and for a Journey, this one is definitely worth returning to.
