I stayed in many campgrounds on my way to the Grand Canyon but this one was by far the best.

The women’s restroom was closed. We were not told that when we made the reservation. So men and women are using the same toilets and showers TOGETHER, AT THE SAME TIME. We stay frequently at this KOA and have always been satisfied. Not this time. In addition, the person who wrote the bathroom code writes with a flourish. Their 9’s and 4’s and especially 7’s are difficult to read.

Nice stay. Across from restroom was convenient. Train noise was out of your control. Clean.

They cancelled my limo ride and the reason I came to your koa again was to the steakhouse. Not coming back.

The limo ride was not cancelled. It was postponed because the limo you were supposed to have got in a very bad accident while driving the previous party. Hope everyone is okay.

This was my favorite KOA absolutely loved it and enjoyed the playground and liked that the restrooms are right next to the tent spaces.

Nearby railway was quite noisy, as was the adjacent airport; on the other hand, the facilities were very good.

Very nice. My picnic table was very sticky and dirty so that should have been looked at before I arrived. Overall though the tent sites are very nice and clean. Showers and laundry good. Staff very nice, helpful and friendly. Train noise all night made it hard to sleep but that is not KOAs fault.

Nice campground. Convenient and clean. Luckily, the owner came by and said there were a few tent sites left after posting a “Full” notice. I also noted cabins were also available. Had he not showed up, I would have left, disappointed.

Very nice layout. Super clean! Two showers in ladies room only one working at moment! Early morning swimmer disappointing pool not open until 12PM. Otherwise definite RX

There's no sleeping if you're in a tent with the noise from the train every 30 minutes, rushing cars on the highway, and occasional planes flying right over our head.

Those trains that everyone complains about are doubling up so that products stuck on barges can be delivered and people dont complain about empty shelves.

Large showers in the rest rooms in the rear of the camp. Always clean. Very flat site—there are no hills in Amarillo! Spacious tent sites. Train whistles and airplanes taking off are close by. Friendly staff. Free shuttle to the Big Texan, for steak lovers. Stay here several times a year. Good place to stay.

Amarillo KOA has the best tent beds by far!!! Comforts stations are always clean and the sunrise can’t be beat.

Arrived about 930 pm. Went to use bathroom and it looked and smell like cow diarrhea all over the floor. Checked the men's room to be greeted by the same. At a little after 10 the next morning I brought my boys to pool. Worker kicked us out at 1020 saying he had to clean it then proceeded to lock my oldest inside the pool area. So much for utilizing what we pay for. Why wouldn't the wait until 11

We did have a plumbing issue that night and got the plumbers RIGHT out there, they couldn't fix it but did so the very next day. Pool should have already been closed for the fall but we left it open as a courtesy. It does get very cold here.

Only there one night, but my campsite was nice. It was a well-kept, friendly campground. I also enjoyed the pool.

Was a nice and relaxing over night stay while traveling I40. Staff was nice. Guy at check in was really nice. Had private showers (behind locked doors) which was a plus. Had ice cream for about normal grocery store prices vs other koas on my trip trying to double the price. But it was nice to not over pay for convenience. Could use some more shade for tent campers but a relaxing time off the road.

Clean facilities was very much appreciated. I rode 450 miles on a motorcycle to get there. I was very pleased with the tent pad and cleanliness of the facility. Great job.

We only stayed one night, but the campground is very well maintained, the bathrooms were VERY clean, and well maintained. Has a nice playground, and there is plenty of room in the campsites. The roads are dirt, and I could see it being dusty on a windy day, but in this part of Texas, dust is just part of the deal, so I'm not faulting the KOA for that. We stay in a lot of KOA's and for a Journey, this one is definitely worth returning to.
