Best KOA we have ever stayed at. Staff attentive. Gift store clean and inviting. Bathrooms clean and almost all showers functioning; water hot….lots of space. Did I say CLEAN? Because this place is super clean. This is our 5th Koa stay and we have not been able to give a 5 star review with a “10” for recommendations. This place earns both. Very pleased.

I still don't understand how our park is graded on where it was put 50 years ago. Shouldn't be able to dock points for things out of our control.

It was perfect for one night. Felt safe walking the grounds and a maintenance employee asked if I was a camper there. I like that! Folks looking for no frills stopover, this is it.

Lovely nice level site. Friendly staff and a great price. Fenced dog area really helpful when traveling with a dog. Would stay again

Only stayed 1 night this trip. Staff was friendly and helpful as always. Bummed about Big Texan not doing limo pickup. Will be back again!!

Nice staff. Easy late checking and very nice long pull through sites for overnight stay and not have to unhook.

The women’s restroom was closed. We were not told that when we made the reservation. So men and women are using the same toilets and showers TOGETHER, AT THE SAME TIME. We stay frequently at this KOA and have always been satisfied. Not this time. In addition, the person who wrote the bathroom code writes with a flourish. Their 9’s and 4’s and especially 7’s are difficult to read.

Our worse day ever traveling through ice storm on I40 and barely missed huge 50+ pile up. This KOA was good to finally get to and everyone was so friendly. Stayed here because they had heated water lines for full hook up. Nice facilities, especially for a winter stop with snow and low temps

We just stayed a few hours overnight. It was super cold (8) so didn’t do much outside the camper. The bathrooms were very clean and nice to use.

We stopped over for 1-night on our way home. Only problem was men's restroom shower did not have hot water (it was tepid) but definitely not hot. I considered getting out, but stayed in. Spoke to my wife about her shower, she said it was hot with good pressure. On a positive note, the restrooms were one of the cleanest I have ever used. Nice enclosed dog park for our two dogs.

We arrived late in the evening and it was way too cold to take showers. The bathrooms should have a heater in them instead of blasting A/C.

Very nice staff, always answered our questions. This campground is pretty loud for tent campers. Very close to the airport. Very well maintained grounds and clean facilities.

Always a great place to stay for us. Really like that both the bathrooms are open in the winter. You should consider putting small microwaves in the Kabins for heating up meals.

Second stay here in 3 weeks (traveling back and forth across US). Campground is well-maintained and utilities worked.

It was very cold (16 degrees) we were thankful for a place to plug in. My complaint with all koa’s is when you are not able to enjoy all of the amenities due to weather I feel like it should be reflected in the price paid ( some sort of discount)

We stayed one night on our way to Illinois and we found this KOA was easy to access, the staff was friendly and accomodating, they even escorted us to our site. This was the first KOA we stayed at where the cleanout hookup smelled like pine sol! We would definitely recommend a stay at Amarillo.

The restroom we’re clean but very cold no heat temperature was 12° with 17 mph wind not favorable for showering. The dog run was clean and plenty of plastic poop bags. Staff was friendly.

Arrived late, after 7pm. Key and instructions were in the pickup box, as usual. Outside temps were in the 20's, but cabin was warm and cozy. No issues or problems. Will be back.

The critical issue was water pipes 3 feet above ground and not properly protected in 29 degree weather. Water hydrant and hose both froze.

We only stayed one night, but the campground is very well maintained, the bathrooms were VERY clean, and well maintained. Has a nice playground, and there is plenty of room in the campsites. The roads are dirt, and I could see it being dusty on a windy day, but in this part of Texas, dust is just part of the deal, so I'm not faulting the KOA for that. We stay in a lot of KOA's and for a Journey, this one is definitely worth returning to.
