Very nice. Staff was wonderful. Campground great.

Everything was great, staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative thing about our stay was the “stink bugs “ they were everywhere, killed 8-10 inside the camper every day! I know it’s natural but they were bad.

Beautiful well kept KOA.

I been coming to this KOA since 98. One of the things I do miss which they stopped is breakfast on the weekend. It nice to relax and let someone else cook for change. It always easy for us to get checked in and to the site. Very friendly workers . Roxane and Chris

Koa staff were very polite and always eager to help with anything we needed. I will return in the future. I will recommend Asheville East to all my camping friends.

Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. Site was amazing, back in on the small lake. Clean bathrooms and campground. Even saw staff member spraying and cleaning picnic tables after campers checked out!! Delivered ice and firewood at no extra charge. Have already recommended to 2 families. Definitely will be back!

Rough start, but overall a really good stay! Clean bath houses.

By far the most beautiful and well kept KOA I’ve been to. We like KOA for the convenience, however most lack the “camping” feel and seem like a cramped place to park our RV. KOA Asheville East has that camping feel and my family and I loved it. I have already recommended it to friends.

Great place all around

It’s a nice campground with a river and a lake but our Site was right on top of adjacent RV. All RVs were clustered together. They had many empty sites including pull throughs on the lake so not sure why they put us all together.

Beautiful campground. I was not happy not having a honey wagon to empty my black tank having no sewer line. No honey wagon Tuesday and Wednesday not a great thing when you arrive on three quarter black tank. An on site station is there but moving my rig kind of inconvenient. I’ve stayed here before always a honey wagon available.

It was so great that we came back the next night.....

The campsites are to close together, we had to put our tow dolly in overflow parking while others were allowed to keep theirs on their site, it was a very dirty campground and several large unruly dogs. The location was good for doing things in Ashville, but we will not stay here again.

Don't get here often because we are not from the area but the stay is always very nice. All the workers are always very helpful. If I had to pick something to improve it would be to have an occasional planned activity during the week (all KOA's).

My first time at a KOA facility and was blown away. Friendly staff, ample activities, and clean restrooms. O and a great location!

Exceptionally clean grounds. Campsites equipped with gravel, fire pit and picnic tables in good shape. Campsites are close together but lots of different ones to choose from (shaded, sunny, on the water, under the trees). Wonderful walks along the river and around the ponds. Women’s restroom was spotless (I didn’t use the showers). Friendly staff and campers. I highly recommend it.

While we enjoyed our stay we found the staff very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to approach. I will say that the game room could use a little upgrade. But we did have fun and enjoyed what was there

This is a beautiful facility right on the Swannanoa River and also with a couple of weeks. Great walking all around the campground. Check in procedure was easy and they actually escort you to your side. There are a lot of all the sites and they are very small, which is the only negative. Our check-in representative was Alex. She was exceptionally friendly and professional and efficient!

We only used this KOA for an overnight stay but will definitely make plans to return for a longer stay.

Gave us a terrible spot with no view- I level and just plain crappy. Won’t visit there again.

Staff was extremely friendly, but I think the prices are too high.

Very well managed campground with friendly and courteous staff.

We had a great time.

There was some mixup & the 2nd night they begged me to move to a less desirables spot. It was a really uncomfortable position - i felt like i was being forced/bullied into moving. After me saying NO 3-4 times (they shouldn't have asked again or offered compensation) they let me stay on my spot. This was my FIRST KOA stay & poor impression. I realize mistakes are made, but it was handled poorly.

Camp is beautiful but bath house in serious need of remodeling

The employees here will bend over backwards to assist you. Very friendly & helpful. A nice bass pond & a nice small flowing creek are on the property. A playground, small arcade, checkers, & a card game for the adults. A nice propane fire to sit around also. It’s a busy place. The sites are close but level. Your awning almost touches your neighbor. Semi gravel pads that need more gravel. Muddy.

We are long time campers at Asheville East over 40 years and have seen the ups and downs that the campground has gone thru over the years. The staff that is there now are hands down the best in years. Luke, Abby, Dan and Alex have brought the fun and excitement back to the campground. The vibe is so up beat and refreshing. We are so looking forward to our next stay and many more in the future.

Great site convenient to both Black Mountain and Asheville. Hosts are super friendly and welcoming. Hot water was abundant and campsite / area was clean. Also very dog friendly which is a big plus for me.

The campground is very clean and well kept and the employees are helpful and friendly. It's expensive though for a deluxe, gravel pull thru site, although the patio and furniture are really comfy and nice. Did not like the 6:40 am wakeup call from the train adjacent to our site. The camp is close to Asheville though and we got to see the city, which is great.

Short stay on way to Hilton Head. Nice park with plenty to do for kids. Had a pull thru. Had to ove our picnic table as it was right next to our neighbors bsewer.

Going back

It’s our favorite place to stay for the past 4 years. We’ll be back for sure! Love the river/lakeside sites!

Love this KOA friendly, clean and very accommodating.

Started rough by having a rude lady when checking in. Campground has changed a lot since changing over to corporate. Run now for the money instead for the campers. Not many planned activities like before. I still enjoy camping here but the new staff need an attitude change towards customers.

Recycling, Laundry, pot holes, need some attention. Very nice place

Excellent camp ground. We had a camp site between the lake and Swannanoa river. The campground is very clean and the staff is always available to help. The kids loved it. As a first time RV renter this site was great choice.

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
