The overall site itself is ok, however we were placed right beside the RV storage area and mngrs house, very undesirable area. The patios need the grass trimmed. Tables and chairs on patio are very nice. Dog park is in bad shape. Was told renovations are on the way. It’s definitely needed. There are some great sites by the river and lake! Great fishing, kayaking etc!

We enjoyed the "Can Do" attitude of the administrative staff. We have already made reservations for Oct. The only thing that was more of an inconvenience than a problem. The stove area had these very small ants, that felt that was their home. If I had a can of spray, I would have fixed that small problem. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to October!! Thank You.

Stayed in cabin #3 for 2 nights. Great location, awesome view. Deck, chairs, outdoor furniture, fire ring, very nice & in great condition. Indoor of the cabin is basic but very functional and clean. Staff helpful This is our second visit to Asheville and we have stayed at the East KOA both times. Our main purpose of trip was to visit Biltmore, The amenities and campsites also seem good.

The A area service road is so small and with everyone parking in front of their rigs I could not get my 38 foot motorhome out of my site when I went to leave. I had to ask the person next door, if he would move his car, so I could get out

Very congested but we’ll run and clean. Not a great place to relax around the campfire but a great home base to explore Asheville and hiking trails.

Beautiful location. Convenient. Excellent and friendly staff. Well-maintained except for restrooms. All the shower curtains were awful. Throw those out and get some new ones at the dollar store. Bathrooms were not maintained or cleaned often enough.

Great place, hopefully we can get back there again

We had a great sight next to the lake and a short walk from the river. The showers and bathrooms were really clean & the staff was great. Would go back again.

This is a conveintly located park near Asheville and the Blueridge Parkway. The river and trails are nice to walk along. It is close to the highway but still a good spot to spend a few days. There are some great tent sites, for big rigs moving through the sites are ok, furniture and pad provided great.

Lovely Campground, 2 lakes and a river. Nice walking paths and amenities.

I stayed in section "A" which is very tight. This is a well run run campground with beautiful sites along the stream and lakes. Its also very close to Black Mountain and the Biltmore Estate.

Good stay was to close to traffic and train. Would have liked to been by river. But it was a good stay other than surrounding noises.

Staff was excellent. Restrooms were neat and clean. However the amount of duck/goose crap in our campsite as well as the tables near the creek was unacceptable and unsanitary.

Very nice staff. Lots of amenities. Bad part is too many sites crammed into the campground. Could almost reach out and touch RVs on either side.

Wonderful cabin close to restroom. Beautiful facilities with lots of activities. Great staff. Hope to visit again someday.

My only complaint is the store closed at 6pm on Saturday so we couldn't get more firewood at 7:15pm when we walked up to the store, so our night outside was cut short. We have camped here for years and never saw the store close so early on a Saturday night.

Mostly a great a stay. Was a lot of noise from road at night and on Saturday night it sounded like a band was playing close by.

Our family (+poodle) stayed overnight in the DC-6 cabin. It was a great getaway, with a wonderful chance to relax in beautiful surroundings! The scenic Swannanoa river, neighboring lake, ducks, & geese offered much to enjoy. It was especially fun to watch the fishermen early Saturday morning, catching trout! Cabin is well appointed & included a fridge & Keurig. Staff was great. We'll return!

Very friendly staff, tight spaces, much road noise. It was easy to get into Asheville but not a place in which to spend much time. The washing machines need to be fixed or replaced as several were out of order. Also sign said washers were $1.75 but were really $2.00. A little thing but indicative of things not being cared for.

It was great .

Very easy check-in/out process. All employees were friendly an helpful. Campground is clean and well spaced.

We enjoyed the pet walk area, but felt our neighbors were way too close- we had people walking through our sites, children in the surrounding campers were jumping around until around 2 am, and it they were parked so close it sounded like they were on our roof - it was a last minute stop but we would rather stay in a parking lot for free than to pay to have the feeling we were staying in one.

Sparkliest campground I've ever seen! The mica in the sand and rocks makes everything outdoors sparkle. Loved the nature walks around the pond, lakes and river. All of the staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. One of my favorite KOAs!

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
