Did not have enough help had to go buy a portable tank to empty my black and gray tanks they were supposed to empty them daily but didn't for 2 days they didn't care what I had to do about it

Cabin had a very damp smell, very moldy. It was so bad sleep with windows open.

It was great. My only complaint is that I had a cabin that had to be canceled the day before I arrived. We canceled it because the day before the family that was supposed to stay in that cabin tested positive for covid. As soon as I found out. I called and canceled it. Because it wasn't 48 hours I couldn't get my deposit back. I would understand if it wasn't covid.

They do not run this KOA the way it should be ran, the grounds looked horrible, maybe a lawn mower would be nice. They do not have enough man power to keep it looking the way it should look. The staff is very unfriendly and not helpful at all. I suggest KOA to find new management or owners before they take it under.

Wonderful place. The staff was very friendly and the place was well kept. The only complaint would be that during the bingo games I personally think the cards should be one per person. Especially when the games was free to play. Just seams more fair.

A very nice park. Family oriented - if you are looking for a quiet retreat this might not be the best choice. However, great facilities, wifi, and activities. Loved the pond - did not love the bright lights at night.

Third time staying at this campground. Loved the changes. Welcoming and friendly staff, new kayak rentals and fun activities for the kids and adults alike.

Definitely not the place it used to be. We have been coming to Asheville East KOA for years. Now with new owners, it’s definitely not the same anymore. Staff are not friendly, bathhouses are dirty and park is not near as neat and clean as once was. Now charging guest $25.00 to lock in your camping spot is ridiculous. Very disappointed in what was once our favorite campground.

Need more 50 amp plugs in A section … we have always enjoyed shopping in the store for “prizes” to take home with grands …. Store was a little disappointing this time … we had some roudy loud neighbors this time also … otherwise enjoyed our stay !!

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. Also kudos to the honesty of other campers! I accidentally left my phone in the bathroom and someone found it and turned it in to the office. My only complaint would be the spot we were in had a lot of traffic going by so next year I would probably reserve a space in a quieter spot.

This was an absolute great campground. The grounds were well maintained and the staff were so friendly. It was very easy to see that the staff took pride in their jobs. The surroundings were so peaceful and the campsites were good.

The campground it’s self is amazing,we have came for the last 10 years , some of the new staff are very rude not only to myself but to my children as well. So many rules are changing it makes the stay less enjoyable. I did speak with Dan the night before we left and he cleared a few things up. I will return as always but hope that the employees are friendlier I wish y’all loved camp as much as

A lot has changed since the last time we stayed at this KOA two months ago. I am hoping that it will all be for the better, but I do not normally do well with change. Since the campground was sold to corporate KOA, we were slapped with a $25 extra reservation fee upon check-in, that we have never had to pay before. Apparently, you are unable to request sites now without paying that extra fee.

We have been coming here for many years. Sad to see ALL previous staff gone. We did not feel welcomed when we arrived. The man who escorted us to our site never even smiled. Most staff just did their jobs nothing else. We will continue to come here because we love the area and it is only a couple of hours from home. Why are they charging $25 dollars extra for a specific site? That is insane!

Weather was great kids had a ball always good to meet new friends and spend time with family and friends New staff were nice and friendly .sad to see previous owners and staff go through . hope not to much change everything is good like it is

It is always clean and offers great activities. Sites are not too small like some other KOAs that I have visited. This is a great location for exploring so much of the NC mountains. Without a doubt, this is my favorite campground. I will be back in a few weeks.

We have rented the same site for the last 6 yrs in a row. a camping cabin on the water. We were very disappointed to see that when we went to rebook this year while we were still at the KOA (previously we had always been given right of first refusal) our site was already booked as had most sites over a year in advance. We will be looking elsewhere for future years.

We loved the activities provided for adults and kids. Love how family friendly this place is and all the amenities available. Bathrooms are clean. Water is hot. The staff was SUPER friendly. That alone makes it an amazing place to stay over the long weekend. We miss the breakfast option, and hope that may come back in the future. Thank you.

Absolutely such a special place! We found it back in 2017 and been making "Labor Day" a family tradition with our kids and grandbabies and each year it gets even more special. The staff is outstanding, they are very caring, kind, considerate & you feel so welcome. The park is beautiful! Thank you for having such a relaxing, family oriented place to come make family memories at.

We had a wonderfully weekend. The kids had a great time doing the daily activities. Campsites were clean but a little tight. We have planned to return soon.

My family loves this campground! Beautiful property and excellent staff. Activities were fun and well organized. Especially liked getting reminders about the activities, via text messaging. “Honey Wagon” was a really nice perk, too. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been coming to this campground over 40 years. Always a great relaxing time. The improvements made already after the corporate purchase is appreciated and well noticed. As always we’ll be back soon!

Absolutely loved Asheville West KOA! The lakes and Swannanoa river were beautiful! Lots to do and very close to Downtown Asheville! Bring your bikes if you have them because the bike paths are amazing!

The KOA East Asheville Park exceeded our expectations. This would be our second or third KOA we've stayed at in Tennessee and North Carolina. We are now KOA sold! We have no desire to say anywhere other than KOAs on our Goonie adventures. Thanks for all the hard work y'all put in to make sure we have a good time and a great stay!!

Our return visit labor day weekend was wonderful! We were able to get a late reservation at a lake site but without sewer. Being relatively new "campers" we were reluctant but decided to try it since they offered the hunnywagon for tank emptying. Everything worked out perfectly and our site proved to be beautiful and serene! The staff was phenomenal and went over and above all weekend!

Shooters earmuffs required here. Earplugs weren’t enough to block out Rte 70 traffic noise. Too bad because otherwise this park is next to the Swananoa River and has a swimming pool, games for kids and pretty places to walk.

This was our second stay here..it is a very nice campground and has something for everyone plus there is a lot of local places to go to and close to the Blue Ridge Drive.

Great location easy access to all that Asheville has to offer. Staff is incredible, friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. Really a 1st class place.

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
