This was a very nice stay. The venue is a great place for kids to play. There is plenty of area to walk our dogs. The staff is quite helpful and friendly. The facilities are well kept. The bathrooms, showers, laundry are pristine. I will be back.

I am spoiled by the State Parks. KOA Price is too high. Our rig was so tight backed into site, no room to walk between our camper and the camper adjacent to us. Parking is horrible. Septic dump of neighbor too close to my "front porch" IMO. Camp with friends? Will cost $25extra each to request sites close to each other. Not enough bang for buck, but there were few options in this area available.

This is a large, well maintained KOA. A convenient location for us. Lots of space for dog walking, and people walking too;) As usual, some sites are packed tightly together but it is okay for one night. If staying for more than one night you might try to get a site on a lake, or a back in site near the river. It's a very good KOA!

Strong internet wifi signal, friendly staff, clean facilities, efficient front office, gorgeous views. Couldn't have asked for more, great facility!

Asheville East KOA is one of our favorites. Very nice and attentive staff, very clean, and to have the river running through the middle is the best. Great for walks, fishing, and sitting by one of the three lakes or river.

Had a beautiful site next to the lake… bathrooms were really nice and well maintained.

Stay here multiple times through the year and love it. This time we were in a river site which you pay lord for and they have added gravel path by the fire pits. It looks like for the workers to clean up however all through the stay other campers continually walked thru the site and it wasn’t peaceful as usual. I hope you can figure out how to fix this before we come back this summer!

All staff were very friendly. Sites near the lake were in a pretty setting! We, however, were located in section B. Disappointed with our site, which was on the end, next to the storage trailer. Our site/picnic table/campfire were right on the road, with dust kicking up with each passerby. All RV's in this area were crammed in WAY too close. Bathrooms were small, but clean.

It’s VERY noisy. You can here the busy road traffic. It’s also right next to the railroad tracks. The train will definitely get you up in the morning. The sites are too small, not shaded and campers are packed in like sardines. The dump station was closed for the season but they offer to empty your tanks at your site for $10. The ponds and river are nice for fishing. The staff was friendly.

the internet was awesome and the kids had a wonderful time fishing!! also the bathrooms were very well kept and that was another huge plus. probably one of the best features is the downtown of Black Mountain it was wonderful to walk around and have lunch.

We only stayed over night so I really can't comment on the rest of the campground. The site we had on the lake was very nice. The girl that checked us in was very friendly. We would stay here again.

Very nice campground and a very nice and helpful staff. Great location to use as a base camp to travel around the area. No problems at all.

With cold strong winds, our awning blew off and landed on the roof of our RV. Staff went above and beyond to help. It's a beautiful location and we want to come back...when it's warmer.

What can I say, we liked it so much we are already planning our next trip back. The campground is in a great location and the staff are outstanding! If you’re looking for great place to go camping, that is clean, well-kept and run by some amazing people this is the place for you.

We arrived early and we immediately got our cabin. I was surprised at how cute it was, I loved the lake and walking trail. The ducks and geese were a bit annoying at first but quickly realized If I left them alone they left me alone and it was all part of the experience. I can’t wait to come back one day soon.

Beautiful park, sweet, friendly staff and VERY affordable! Stayed at KOA East Asheville Swanenoa one day last year & loved it so much, arranged schedule to stay 5 days this year. Roasted marshmallows & grilled right next to gorgeous river, fed the ducks & geese and RELAXED. AMAZING, PEACEFUL PLACE!

We were greeted with much enthusiasm and very professionally. The gentleman that took us to our site stayed long enough to answer our questions. The site was beautiful with the lake at the front door and the river at the back. Very clean facilities as well. This KOA is very convenient to so many attractions in the area. We will come again.

Very scenic, friendly staff, clean grounds, easy access from I40. Wish there was more dining and entertainment within walking distance, but overall I will definitely return.

It’s a beautiful campground and very well kept. Site 26 was very difficult to get into with campers and vehicles on the other side and maneuvering between two large trees. The part that was a problem for us was the road noise, it kept us up all night. If we ever are back in the area I would ask for a site further away from the road.

The new owners and staff are so much nicer than the previous staff. We almost gave up on this KOA based on previous experiences but tried again at Halloween and this past weekend. Pleased both times. Excited to hear new activities and expansions are in the works too. Keep up the good work and customer service!

The stay was good. I enjoyed it better when the check out time was 11. We enjoy weekend trips up and now we feel rushed leaving out.

Great wifi, but restrooms were dirty and the dump station was closed. Highway noise was unpleasant. Not a location I would choose again.

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
