All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped with a last minute reservation change and made our stay so much fun for the grand kids.

The deluxe cabin was beyond cozy! December is a great time to enjoy a quiet stay and snuggle up after a nice walk around the lakes on the property. Cabin was clean and didn’t reek of chemicals or stuffy upon entry. This KOA is close to grocery stores and several yummy restaurants. Can’t wait to go back

Beautiful setting. Enjoyed the path around the lake and our new duck friends. Bathrooms were clean.

We absolutely love this place! Only reason not 5 stars is because our site (B2) was small and the slideout was almost touching the fire pit. We could have moved forward, but since we were only staying 1 night, it was perfect. It was plenty long though for our 43' plus truck. Well kept, beautiful park with lots to do. Definitely coming back when we have more time!

It was good. The staff was very personable and helpful. However, the person that escorted us to our site simply pointed to our site and then left. I believe he should have been a little more involved with me getting my trailer situated on the site. This is the only complaint that we have and definitely will not prevent us from camping here in the future.

The staff here is amazing! Very friendly, very courteous. I was extremely impressed with the campground as a whole.

Overall, our stay was fine. This was our second trip to this KOA, and we will likely return. However, I was a little surprised that when I asked about a 2 hour late checkout, it was an extra $25. That would not surprise me during a busy time of year, but in mid-December when there are only a few campers around?

Stay was fine, nice pond and interesting layout. Store well stocked but no milk. Your after dark people need to SLOW DOWN. MY dog and I almost got run over by your guy in his cart. About 8 pm I would guess.

Loved the proximity to the town of Black Mountain. Grocery stores, Walgreens, CVS, and choice of restaurants was very good. Close to train tracks but it didn’t bother us. Size of the KOA property was surprising once we took a good look around. We’d stay again when passing through. Hosts were very nice.

Very nice park and VERY helpful, friendly staff. Great family place with lots to do. We would prefer area E by the lake next time.

Camping areas were very crowded, we were within 10 feet of 4 other campers. Didn’t use facilities. Wi fi fair reception. Stayed a week, because we had music fest at black mt which is close. Prob wouldn’t stay there again unless no choice.

We had a very accommodating check in and check out staff. In fact that’s the only interaction we had occasion for, everything else was seamless. We did stop in the office for a couple references for local eatery’s that proved out well. We look forward to our return trip. Very nice lake sites. Thank you !

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay on a lake front lot. The visits from the ducks and squirrels each day was an added bonus. The staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. The only negative we had had nothing to do with the park but the highway and train did provide some early morning wakeup calls. However, we would definitely stay there again when we are in the Ashville area.

Our family enjoyed our stay in one of the cabins overlooking the lake at the Asheville East KOA. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. We would be happy to stay again!

Nice Camp Ground! Office hours are limited to assist campers. The front desk is short handed as others sit in back office and do not assist the front office or help answer the phones. I called 6 times in 15 minutes for assistance during the day with no live person answering the phone. I finally drove to the office to see 3 people sitting the office and one poor girl handling the guests.

Very nice campground. Plenty of space between sites, a lot of paths to walk and a very nice setting with ponds, creek, and a mountain view.

Bathroom water didn't stay hot

My 96yr old mother and I stayed for several days. She requires a shower with hold bars, a shower seat, and hand held shower spray head. This KOA doesn't have any of these. There was a shower chair, but this chair was not safe to use. When positioned in the middle of the shower, it is unstable and would fall over backwards. My mother could not use this. I'll look to renovations here.

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
