Absolutely loved the deluxe cabin. Much better and cheaper than a hotel. Very nice staff and helpful with our situation of having to move the date more than once.

It was great!! The facilities were wonderful and the emplouees were very friendly. Only complaint was the last day- in the morning- there was no toilet paper.

Don't get here often because we are not from the area but the stay is always very nice. All the workers are always very helpful. If I had to pick something to improve it would be to have an occasional planned activity during the week (all KOA's).

While we enjoyed our stay we found the staff very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to approach. I will say that the game room could use a little upgrade. But we did have fun and enjoyed what was there

Cabin 20. 1st night was fantastic! 2nd night it sounded like rocks were being thrown at our cabin ....all night long, but from the inside of the cabin. No acorns or debris falling from the tree aBove us, not sure what that was, but it scared us both so much that we didnt sleep a wink all night. Maybe it's because my boyfriend caught an all red devil turtle and hooked it through the neck, not sure

Beautiful campground lots of amenities. The only issue I had was in cabin eight the air conditioner would start making a noise that had a very deep vibration off and on . Actually hurt your ears for a while until it stopped.

I really enjoyed my stay in one of the cabins! I was amazed at how well organized things were for a campground with so many sites. Big plus was being escorted to our sites! Nice touch!! I was part of a very large group, and the staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and always helpful. I’ll definitely return. The setting is beautiful.

I had planned on staying at a hotel when I drove past the KOA sign. I figured...hey, why not? I'm thrilled I chose KOA. Great place! Nice neighbors. Had a great time. �

We have been going there for 15 years but it changed new management. The new employees are great but we miss our old friends who worked there. New changes include, No weekend breakfasts, $25 extra for reservations that you choose you favorite site, no dogs in cabins and $8.50 for a small bundle of wood. Makes me sad. WE MISS YOU VICKIE AND LOVE YOU. We will go back but not happy with changes.

Cabin had a very damp smell, very moldy. It was so bad sleep with windows open.

It was great. My only complaint is that I had a cabin that had to be canceled the day before I arrived. We canceled it because the day before the family that was supposed to stay in that cabin tested positive for covid. As soon as I found out. I called and canceled it. Because it wasn't 48 hours I couldn't get my deposit back. I would understand if it wasn't covid.

It is always clean and offers great activities. Sites are not too small like some other KOAs that I have visited. This is a great location for exploring so much of the NC mountains. Without a doubt, this is my favorite campground. I will be back in a few weeks.

We have rented the same site for the last 6 yrs in a row. a camping cabin on the water. We were very disappointed to see that when we went to rebook this year while we were still at the KOA (previously we had always been given right of first refusal) our site was already booked as had most sites over a year in advance. We will be looking elsewhere for future years.

We loved the activities provided for adults and kids. Love how family friendly this place is and all the amenities available. Bathrooms are clean. Water is hot. The staff was SUPER friendly. That alone makes it an amazing place to stay over the long weekend. We miss the breakfast option, and hope that may come back in the future. Thank you.

I arrived near closing, during a downpour, after a long day driving in the rain. Despite my poor frame of mind, Alex was so kind and understanding at check-in. This was my second stay at this campground, and I was once again satisfied. My only negative comment is on the comfort of the mattress in my cabin. It was very thin, and I could feel the wood logs underneath. It needs replacing for sure.

The floors in the cabin were gross they were so dirty. We couldn't use the fridge because it was so sour smelling. But the people are nice. The bathrooms were clean. I guess this was just an off stay. Still like this campground! We have stayed before and everything was perfect. Would still recommend this campground

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
