We stayed in section - A and even though we enjoyed our stay I must say that the section we stayed in was way too tight. We felt like we were right on top of our neighbors and there was no privacy at all. We walked all through the back section and noticed the lots over there we much roomier and more like we are used to. The staff was very friendly and had lots of kids activities.

It was absolutely beautiful. Our lakeside site with the stream on the other side was perfect. C03!

Mostly, everything was good, unless you try to take a shower and want hot water in one of the men's showers. I wish we would've known one was not hot. Also, we've never had such difficulty being able to call a KOA. But the staff was friendly, the location good, and a nice setting.

We really enjoyed our stay! We’re looking forward to making Asheville East KOA an annual fall trip! Location to the area destinations was great!

Friendly staff and they work with you to get the site you want!

Love it here. Beautiful, clean, calm. So many places to walk and such nice people. We are already planning our return! A note about the upper bath house showers: they do not drain.

One of the most scenic KOA’s we have ever seen. The river, lake and trees were stunning! We highly recommend KOA Asheville East.

OK for a couple of days. The camp is in a nice area - right on the river and just off the highway. Not too much highway noise. Most of the pads are thin gravel over old grass areas. don't take A15 - you are stuck in a corner and can't leave till A14 or A16 pull out....only 30 amp service

Very nice campground, wonderful folks working there, easily backed my 46’ 5th wheel into a beautiful spot next to one of the nice lakes. Enjoyed our 6days there tremendously.

I mistakenly booked a stay at a KOA in Charolette when I actually was going to Asheville. When I arrived at Ashville without a reservation the staff bent over backwards to get me a spot even though they were completely booked. They were wonderful! Saved us a rough night without a place to camp. Professional an very helpful! Can’t say enough about this great place and the outstanding staff!

We travel across the country often in our motorhome and stay at a variety of RV parks. The Asheville East KOA is the nicest KOA we have ever seen. The setting is beautiful with the Swannanoa River flowing through the park. There is nice green space to walk along the river with great views of the mountains. The park is well maintained, clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

bath houses need help, extremely dense campgrounds

It was just a one night stay but it was the most beautiful park we stayed at in our 3 week trip across the country & back!

If your rig is 30 feet or longer, avoid the sites on the inner loop of section A. We have a 35 ft TT & with a full campground, it was impossible to turn more than 45 degrees without hitting another vehicle (when attempting to back into our site). After sweating bullets to back into our site though, it was great! The grounds are beautiful; we didn’t even leave the campground on the 1st day!

We have repeatedly stayed there because it is such a pretty place. This time we were on the lake and it was truly beautiful.

This is a regular place for us as we visit our son who lives in the area. The campground has everything you could need and the staff are courteous and professional. There is plenty to do in the area. The campground is well maintained.

Very disappointed that we were unable to stay in the site we had reserved months earlier next to our friends, due to there being no power available at the site. Having to move to a different site made it very inconvenient to prepare group meals, dine together, etc. Feel more should have been done to accommodate us or come up with a more acceptable solution since it was the campground's fault.

Site e6 was beautiful. However - firewood bought from camp store was green and wet and would not light. Frustrating.

The people and the campground are great. We were in A12 by the river and it doesn't get much better. The only negative was the constant noise from the highway.

Had to move spots because the staff doesn’t read the notes on reservations nor answers the phone. I went from a terrific spot at E26 to a garbage, tight one at B27. Despite my asking, the staff did nothing to accommodate us into a better spot

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
