A word of warning to anyone coming from the west on Hwy 70, the Navigation button tells you to turn right over a railroad tracks. The KOA is on the left, not the right when traveling east.

This is a well run campground with very helpful staff. So many neat activities were available for the children: dance offs, costume contests, art projects, and burying a pumpkin seed one day and small pumpkins appearing the next day. The staff in charge of activities was innovative and did an excellent job. There is such an atmosphere of welcome. We will come back again.

absolutely beautiful!! Nice facility. we only stayed for 1 night and immediately booked again for this summer. Staff was helpful and very friendly.

Perfect weather. The campground is a great place to visit with plenty to do for adults and kids. Lots of activity from activities director. Still wishing and waiting for them to get the grass areas around lakes mowed/ trimmed. All areas that contain grass are still overgrown which in turn makes the campground look unkept. Wish they’d move campers from storage to site. Looking forward to 20

Way over-priced ..... sites are too crowded, lack of sewer hookups. The dump station is not designed for big rigs....too hard to get into it.

You put us in the row right behind the game area in front. Do you realize it is lit up all night? And you have fire pits there? We wanted to have a fire in the dark not under 5 spot light. And kids should not be playing there at night in quiet time. Shut the lights off. Maybe you would sell more firewood also.

Very clean, staff was courteous, they were decorated for Halloween and had a movie playing for kids and family. We got the very last site available - last minute. They were full and I understand why. We will be back.

I loved the place, lots of areas to exercise dogs, campsite pull through was great. Only gave 4 stars because the bathroom facility could use a little attention. It wasn’t clean. Otherwise our experience was great. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location with lots to do in the area. We stayed in a tent trailer on the bigger lake/pond which also gave us a back view of the river. Very pretty! Nice amenities and friendly staff

Perfect area for visiting Asheville and the Mtns!!! Loved camping on the river and walking the trail around the water. Friendly helpful staff !! Would visit here again!

Loved our stay. We don't usually go for the deluxe sites but really enjoyed the nice concrete patio & patio furniture provided. Only reason rating wasn't higher is train & siren noise (location was convenient but noisy). thanks.

Nice campground with GREAT internet WiFi service. We had a secluded camp sight. The terrain was a little uneven and we had to level but overall good experience.

Very nice place. We are used to more "state park" type camping so we were wondering if it would be as enjoyable. The staff is crazy nice and they really take care of you here. We were so pleased and will most likely be returning in the future. Great place to camp!!

I used to enjoy staying at this campground. Now it’s almost impossible to back into a space because other campers are allowed to park in such a way it blocks the ability to safely back in. The campsites are muddy and in need of being traveled or tarred. I didn’t appreciate my hoses and my feet getting dirty while setting up. I would think for the $$ you charge you could afford to grav

Nice location and the staff was courteous. Sites are small, ordered fire wood which was never delivered after 4 requests, I carried it myself to the site, and bathhouse was small with low water pressure and ran out of hot water. I’ve been at better KOAs

Too short. This KOA has a park like atmosphere. As soon as we pulled in I knew I should have booked more nights. Who knew?

Beautiful campground. Disappointed that I paid for a patio full hook and couldn’t use sewer. Two times I was told they were sending someone right away. Finally stopped guy picking up trash and He said, “use it, just dump slow.” Had to swap sites with in laws in order to empty black tank when we were leavings When addressed with front desk, nothing offered except we can send someone to look a

All in all this is a gorgeous campground and maintained. Our ONLY issue is that our site had dog poop on it from previous camper UGH! PLEASE pick up the mess your pup deposits! My only reservation about staying here again is having dog deposits greet us...that was nasty. We ended up having to clean up...:(.

Friendly staff, plenty of activities. Good location. this was our first trip to the area, and we spent most of our time away from the camp (Biltmore etc), but our time at camp was very nice and relaxing. We will be back.

This was our home base for the Mars Hill homecoming weekend. We had a great campsite E15 Will be back next year. We just love this campground. Second time this year staying there. Management please get some magnets with your logo

Beautiful location!! Love the river and the ponds. Very clean facility. Great communication with staff. Only negative, as a camper without access to a bathroom in my pop up we’re the long walks to the bath house (depending on your site location). But that WILL NOT STOP us from coming back!!

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
