Love staying at this KOA

We had a wonderfully weekend. The kids had a great time doing the daily activities. Campsites were clean but a little tight. We have planned to return soon.

My family loves this campground! Beautiful property and excellent staff. Activities were fun and well organized. Especially liked getting reminders about the activities, via text messaging. “Honey Wagon” was a really nice perk, too. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been coming to this campground over 40 years. Always a great relaxing time. The improvements made already after the corporate purchase is appreciated and well noticed. As always we’ll be back soon!

Our return visit labor day weekend was wonderful! We were able to get a late reservation at a lake site but without sewer. Being relatively new "campers" we were reluctant but decided to try it since they offered the hunnywagon for tank emptying. Everything worked out perfectly and our site proved to be beautiful and serene! The staff was phenomenal and went over and above all weekend!

Shooters earmuffs required here. Earplugs weren’t enough to block out Rte 70 traffic noise. Too bad because otherwise this park is next to the Swananoa River and has a swimming pool, games for kids and pretty places to walk.

This was our second stay here..it is a very nice campground and has something for everyone plus there is a lot of local places to go to and close to the Blue Ridge Drive.

Great location easy access to all that Asheville has to offer. Staff is incredible, friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you. Really a 1st class place.

Campsite was nice even though they were cleaning up from the flooding the week before. We had E-8 which was a great spot. Wasn’t noisy at night. We will definitely stay here again.

Campground if very conveniently located in the Asheville area. Amenities were good. Only really issue was not enough washer/dryers.

We enjoyed our stay. The river was A lot of fun. Next time will plan to have tubes. they were currently in the process of fixing it up so there weren’t many amenities but we were told by management that they will be adding more and more overtime since they just acquired the campground. Looking forward to re-booking for next year.

Our 3rd or 4th stay at this KOA. Nicest campground in the Asheville area. Sites around the lakes are lovely, and the small river is sweet to wade in. Bathrooms were clean and recently redone. The only negative is road noise is pretty constant, even though it doesn’t feel like you’re close to the road.

Office staff very friendly. Emailed campers if there were problems. Was there during flooding and could have advised us on what was going on

Limiting extra vehicles to one to a site, and sending visitor cars to a parking lot is an excellent way to keep sites less crowded. HOWEVER, charging KOA member's visitors $5/person is a bad business decision. KOA members should get their visitor's for free, or at least charge $5 per extra vehicle. It would be one way to discourage your social media poor reputation as "Keep On Adding."

Have always loved this campground but now under new management no one likes change so we will continue to come as we can get in we will hold judgment to see what comes you had just had a bad storm come through from hurricane on coast so again next might telli can say it’s a great location love the river and lakes and bless love the Train brings back good memories until next time

So many nice sites with pretty views. Really like the gravel walking/jogging/biking path round the lakes. Campground was very presentable despite the remnants of hurricane Henri having flooded the area only a week earlier. Only change I would make is to curtail use of the bright LED street lighting. I know it is less expensive to operate but the light is just too harsh for a campground.

Kids love the tubing and fishing on the river! Very clean! River sites are VERY spacious!

My Husband, son, and I had a blast! 2nd time staying here but first time with a 2 year old and we all loved it and had a great time. We are already trying to plan to come back.

First time at this KOA, going back in a month. Very nice well run campground. Interacted with Kevin, Alex, And Dan, they are doing a great job! Love waking up on the lake!

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
