Beautiful KOA, but unfortunately we were placed behind the office in a very cramped area like sardines in a can where the neighbor’s awnings almost touched our trailer. There were all sorts of other beautiful locations all around the two lakes, so we recommend anyone staying here to ask to be placed in the scenic areas around the lakes. Staff was somewhat friendly, but not overly.

This KOA was a complete pleasure to visit. The grounds are beautifully kept, and especially scenic with a river and lake. It was fun to see families enjoying the ducks and geese. Plenty of pretty places to stroll. Facilities were clean and it was great that there was privacy. Definitely recommend Asheville East KOA.

Our first trip to Asheville KOA East! We had the best time- gorgeous facility with lots to do and easy access to downtown Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway. We already have trips planned for the coming year to head back to KOA Asheville East!! Staff was so friendly, grounds clean, and lots of fun activities!! We celebrated our son's birthday this past weekend, lots of memories made!

I had a problem with my Surge Protector reading incorrectly. The maintenance team provided me with a 'loaner' unit for the duration of my stay. Fantastic service. Definitely over and above!

Great staff. Some of the sites are questionable in that they’re way too close together. We purchased 2 bundles of wood at $16.00. Which would have been fine except it was so wet it wouldn’t burn. We ended up just leaving it in the campsite. Next time I’ll bring my own wood.

Camped at KOA several times always has been great. My first time cold weather caming and the bathrooms was my concern. KOA had claen warm bathrooms and tons of hot water. made staying there a great time.

Everything was acceptable. But at one KOA I was charged extra for my trained service animal. KOA needs to ensure that none of the camps charge for service animals. It is against the law.

Great location ! Property well maintained! My only dislike is lots are to small . Not much privacy with campers so close to each other . But in general it’s well situated and the employees make you feel welcome . Overall two thumbs up

We spent four nights in an excellent site for our 38 ft motorhome, it was a back in spot on a small lake with ducks, geese and a blue heron. Very beautiful sunsets. You could here some road noise and a train but not loud enough to be annoying. Staff was helpful, laundry was clean and adequate. We did not have sewer hookup but they offer free pump out service and a dump station.

The staff at the front desk were wonderful. The walk around the lake was nice. The laundry situation was terrible. Half the machines were not working. At 9:00am, the staff had taken over all (operational) wash machines, leaving me, as a guest with none. Then 2, of the 6 dryers that were working, were again taken up by the staff. It took me all morning to do 2 loads of laundry. Unacceptabl

We had a great stay and will definitely be back. The staff was very friendly and our site was level and beautiful. This campground is close to everything. We highly recommend this KOA.

The water views are wonderful--the lakes and the river running through the campground. Very picturesque! The bathrooms are very clean and well-tended. I keep coming back and it's always a pleasure to stay here.

Very nice campground. Sites were big, it was very easy to maneuver around the campground with a crew cab truck and 37 foot fifth wheel. Would definitely stay again while working in Arden NC

We very much enjoyed our stay there! Very quiet during the week, the weekend filled up quickly. They have a service to come drain your tanks if you do not have full hook up. Everyone in the office is so sweet and so helpful! the view we had was amazing (D25)! We will definitely be coming back in the summer months. My only complaint has nothing to do with KOA, but you can hear the traffic.

Very tight sites. Has a lot of beauty but it’s blocked by stuffing in RV just a few feet apart. Overrated and would never stay there again. Worst KOA in terms of space. Should be higher standards at a KOA. If all KOA’s were like this we’d never stay at one. This KOA is not good for your brand.

Absolutely unacceptable bathroom/ shower conditions. All of the emergency contact numbers don't work. when the staff never left me my welcome packet with my spot listed i had tried calling all numbers and nothing worked. I ended up walking around at 10:45pm to find a spot. And the main map is outdated. They never even offered to comp me my stay. I have pictures that i will be sharing. Very bad

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
