Nice campground in a pretty area. Many of the sites are small and tight, though. They've really crammed them in. We'd stay there again, though.

This was our first camping trip anywhere and we were very happy with this experience. Check in girls were great and the staff was very helpful overall to help get us settled in. The campground was nice and had plenty to do to keep our 4 year old entertained. We enjoyed walking around the trails around the lakes and it was peak leaf season. We will be back for sure.

Lakeside site was spectacular and felt fairly private. We loved watching the ducks and geese (campers should be reminded not to feed them, because then they become a nuisance to campers nearby). We were directed to the site and assisted as needed, without being overbearing. Office folks were great. 3pm check-in seems kind of late, especially in late Fall when it gets dark earlier. Utilities worked

Great place for Halloween for kids and adults. Park is clean, welcoming and interactive. Our patio site was well appointed with upgraded table for 4 and Adirondack chairs . Very pleasant stay!

Check in was great and sight was good. Only issue was bath house/restroom. I went around 6:30am and a homeless man or maybe somebody that had a bad night was laying on the ground blocking the entrance. I walked back to my sight and watched. He got up walked around the front of the office and then disappeared into the darkness between some campers. I then discovered the restroom was to nasty to use

To be honest i was really impressed about the way they did Halloween this year. Our family enjoyed it. Seems like they have a new manager Sarah that really cares about the people that camp there and the ones that have been coming for years at this location. We will be back again next year starting in may. We have been coming to this campground for around 15 years.

We’ve been camping for over 40 years. I can’t believe it took that long to find this place. Everything was wonderful. I talked to campers that had stayed there many times over many years. Nothing but good vibes.

I was nervous to come back for two reasons. Last year we got yelled at by an employee on our first trip because we didn’t know the proper check in procedures and the staff last year were not very friendly. There was a change of owners last June and what a difference it has made already! More activities fat Halloween, they were all super friendly and it seemed more organized! Will be back!

Sara the manager was very helpful when my golf cart got hit by a vehicle only complaint is you can not get Koa people who work there to answer the phone

Great long weekend.The staff are amazing now and great activities. The only thing I would suggest about the whole change of this campground is please consider going back to early checkin time 3 o’clock is too late and loosing a day when this is the new time. Also need to review the answering of the phones during business hours. Should never be too busy to answer a call of a possible quest.

I usually rate this KOA 5 stars but I was disappointed this last time we stayed. When we arrived we noticed that our entire campsite was a mud hole. That area had flooded a few months ago. No one did any maintenance or replaced any gravel. Secondly, we witnessed people in altercations about pets not on leashes and accidents between cars and golf carts. There is much less security now.

Clean campsites, on lake or river front, very little privacy and some traffic noise from nearby highway. But good place for quick stop along route.

Our stay was amazing and unforgettable. We cannot wait to stay again. Our only suggestion would be to update the bath houses. Thank you for allowing us to make so many great memories!

Nice overnight stop. Slightly smaller spot than we were expecting, but our 32” trailer still fit. Super quiet, even surrounded by tent campers.

Love this campground! Lots of activities and clean bathhouses. Campsites along a small river or lakeside are available along with bikes and small pedal boats for hourly rental. Close enough to Asheville to stay, but far enough that you can feel like you got away. We try to come at least once a year. Bigger cabins no longer have a stove top.
