General Campground Information

Benson KOA

Benson KOA is a quiet and peaceful campground north of Benson, Arizona, and the best-kept secret in Southern Arizona.  From here you can make several day trips to explore many attractions like Tombstone, Bisbee, Chiracahua Monument, Fort Huachuca, and the Saguaro National Park.  Tucson is only 40 minutes away and there are lots of things to see there.  Book your Vacation at Benson KOA and enjoy all of Southern Arizona!  Store hours are 9 am to 5 pm 7 days a week except major holidays.  Check-in time is 3:00 pm during our peak season, which is January thru April.  At other times of the year, Check-in times are flexible.  Check-out time is 11:00 am.  We do sell firewood and have portable fire pits for sites without fire pits.  Pool hours are 10:00 am to dusk.  Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation Policy :
If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.Cancellation Deadlines:
RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival.
Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival. A full refund will be given for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking, provided the arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.Cancellation Details:
• Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
• Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
• No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.
• No refunds are given on or after the arrival date.
• Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card, with no exceptions.
• The cancellation policy may be amended during a Regional/National travel disruption.• Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA for details.
  • Cancellation Fee: The Cancellation fee is $20.

Pool Rules:
No lifeguard is on duty so swim at your own risk. Please do not leave children unattended in the pool area.
Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No 'horseplay', jumping, diving or running.
No outside alcohol is permitted at the pool. No glass containers.

Our quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
During non-quiet times, please be respectful of your neighboring campers. Excessive drinking, noise and foul language will not be allowed.

STORE HOURS

New summer hours in place. Our General Store is open from 9 am to 5 pm, 6 days a week, closed on Wednesday and major holidays.  We have ice, cold drinks, Ice Cream, groceries, RV supplies, T-shirts and lots of souvenirs for your enjoyment.

FIREWOOD POLICY

We sell firewood and rent out fire rings. The cost is $7.95 per bundle of wood.

WILDLIFE AWARENESS

Connecting with nature and wildlife. Various types of wildlife, big and small, may be at this campground. Be alert and give them distance and respect. Keep dogs on a leash and properly store food, trash and cooking supplies. Your safety and the future of wildlife depend on you.

PET POLICY

Rules for Dogs:
  • Leash and Control: Dogs must always be under the control and visual observation of their owner. A 6-foot leash rule applies when dogs are outside the owner's camping equipment (trailer, vehicle, cabin, or motor home).
  • Supervision: Dogs cannot be left tied up and unattended outside the owner's camping setup.
  • Aggressive Behavior:There are no breed restrictions; however, aggressive animals must leave the park to ensure guest safety.
  • Noise Control:Uncontrolled barking, day or night, is not allowed. Owners unable to manage their dog's barking may be asked to leave and a fee will be charged.

    PROPANE POLICY

    Propane fills are available. Inquire at the store for hours and days. $3.95 PER GALLON
    Please make sure Dates on tanks are within the recertification period.
    If tanks are out of date guests will be denied propane due company & regulatory policy.

    SPEED LIMIT

    QUIET HOURS

    Our quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am.  Please be respectful of your neighbors when it comes to Music/Conversations at any time of the day.  Generators are not allowed to run except in an emergency.

    VISITOR POLICY

    Visitors are welcome, but we ask that each person register at the office or leave a message on the answering machine if after hours.

    RV WASH

    We're happy that you like a clean RV!  However, please note: Due to our location and proximity to a fresh water source, washing campers is "not permitted" within our campground.
